    Been here all my life and I love Minnesota. But you can argue it’s all a matter of perspectives and expectations. For instance, I was born and raised in Minneapolis. As a Minneopolitan I was slanted against the St Paulites and felt they didn’t like me either. Then I went to College in St Paul and never moved back. About 25-30 years later I finally felt accepted as a St Paulite. Sure we can be a little passive aggressive but we really do mean well. Some may even complain about the high taxes here but I would argue that money is generally well spent and we always have some of the highest quality of life scores as they relate to other states. If you decide to move here and bring good intentions we will welcome you with open arms. Again, Minnesota is all I know so take it for what it’s worth. p.s. I do hope the Vikings win the big one once in my lifetime. The T-Wolves really were close this year. And you’ve gotta love our Gopher Volleyball team.

    It's been a somewhat okay experience living in Minneapolis/Brooklyn Park area. Unfortunately, I what I have experienced as a Hispanic American person is discrimination from black Americans individuals. Additionally, I have spoken with some of the the Latinos that I have encountered and they too have experienced discrimination from the black people. That breaks my heart that we Latinos have to experienced this Behavioral!!

    I agree on the weather and mosquitos but what was that? Uffda. Thank you for the review but we are not part of the Twin Cities. If you ever vacation up here in the Lakes Area, don't ever tell anyone that you think we are all a part of the Twin Cities. LOL!! Text me sometime with your email and I can send you some resources that help compare and contrast the different cities, 952-491-0859. Generally speaking, anywhere within about 30 minutes of the Twin Cities is going to be your best bet as it relates to snow. It's not as rural, they plow regularly, and the temperatures tend to be less extreme as they are further north or west.

    I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are stupidly ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways?

    • @smithdavis1362
      @smithdavis1362 2 місяці тому

      If anything, it'll get worse. Very soon, affordable housing will no longer be affordable. So anything anyone want to do, I will advise they do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow. Until the Fed clamps down even further, I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't halfway rip the band-aid off.

      Considering the present situation, diversifying by shifting investments from real estate to financial markets or gold is recommended, despite potential future home price drops. Given prevailing mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, this move is prudent, particularly due to stricter mortgage regulations. Seeking advice from a knowledgeable independent financial advisor is advisable for those seeking guidance.

      This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

      Finding financial advisors like Laura Grace Abels who can assist you on things like investing, insurance, making sure retirement is well funded, going over tax benefits, ways to have a volatility buffer for investment risk would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.

    There is a lot of depression and mental illness from lack of sunshine 6 months out of the year. So I think that's why it's hard to make new friends. And most friend groups either just drink together, watch sports together, or fish and hunt together. And women friendships are very passive aggressive. I was born and raised here. Lived in southern MN, the suburbs, the cities, and up north.

They just waited til they they became the Dallas Stars to do so. The Minneapolis Lakers won 6 championships in 7 years and were the original dynasty. You may know them now as the Los Angeles Lakers.
