Congratulations on your million dollar assets! My portfolio is almost exact to yours! 🎉
Thanks, it was definitely a huge surprise 😊. And congrats to you as well to building wealth in your portfolio.
Schd 3-1 stock split coming soon
@@cashoption2319 Oh yes, I heard the good news. I can’t wait for it to happen on October 10th 😁
Your account is goals for me! ❤
Thanks! You can do it too, just $1 at a time. Honestly what helped me the most was significantly increasing my income through job hopping and then living below my means so I have extra money to invest.
Congrats! Good news is that each $100k milestone get easier and come faster.
@@zhangguo8762 Thanks! I really hope each 100K goes faster because my returns have not been good so it takes forever for me to see little gains
Dont get discouraged if you dont reach 200k. You're either long or short. Doesn't matter what happens in the next 3 months its irrelevant. Keep buying and you will reach your long term goals.
@@chrischasenyc You’re right about not getting too fixated on reaching 200K but it would be amazing if I could hit it. I have a big update for this week’s video so make sure you tune in. It’s a good and somewhat bad update.
I remember a few months ago when it was looking like your goal for the end of 2024 was $150! Now we are well on our way to $200k! Let's goooooooo!!!!!!
@@RobGoldy Thanks for being here for the journey lol, I remember that time period I also thought 150K would be the goal. You should definitely watch this weekend video there’s more EXCITING updates
Great job, question why your portfolio is only based on on ETF, do you just want invest and forget? . Your portfolio is well diversified. Why don’t you have individual stocks? I am a dividend investor and I like to get paid every month. You have an amazing portfolio, keep up the good work.
@@Wisely_monk Thanks! I’m a simple investor so my investment approach is to invest in solid ETFs and let them grow over time. There’s no company I like enough to buy a single stock of it. My ultimate goal is to live off dividends from my portfolio mostly through my investment in SCHD.
@@singleparentfire2363 Word Up!
Let's get to 200k by end of this year!
Do you plan to switch up the holdings once you reach a specific value in the portfolio?
@@miklemon2357 I don’t plan to change any of my holdings but I do plan to increase my investment into SCHD significantly once the portfolio hits about 500K but that will be many years from now.
Dang. I'm only at 3k in my brokerage and ROTH after 1 year, but I just started and I'm young. Aiming to be at your numbers in a decade!
@@Blittsplitt5 You being young is your biggest asset because you have time. I’m 40 years old with a kid so I’m trying to play catch up financially as fast as I can while I have this high paying job.

@@libannoor702 Thanks! We all start from somewhere, so 2K is a good start. Honestly until I got my high paying job it was difficult for me to make significant progress with investing.

Have you ever considered adding a single stock? This 3 fund portfolio is really nice though. I’m considering doing that for my Roth IRA most likely going to do Costco since I’ve had them for a while and think they will be around at least for the next 30 years. Thinking the same for Apple.
@@cshades8026 Honestly there’s no company out there that I like so much that I would buy as a single stock so I prefer to keep my investments in ETF investing. As for Costco and Apple they seem like solid companies so you’ll have to keep me posted on how they perform for you
That’s a great question. I was going to ask about considering to add bond ETF like BND.
@@cesarpazmino4453 - having a bonds etf in your portfolio is like having money in a high interest savings account like the SOFI or ALLY savings account, the money is typically safe and provides monthly income/interest payments that's dictated by the federal interest rate. If you're investing in a retirement account like a Roth IRA or 401k and are over the age of 50, then yes, 10% to 20% bonds is appropriate. But on your taxable brokerage account, just keep some money stash away on a HYSA that pays 4+% in interest instead of getting a bond etf. BND is currently pay a monthly dividend of 4.03%, M1 Finance has a high yield cash account that pays 4.50% in interest.
@@cesarpazmino4453 I don’t plan to add any bond to my portfolio until I’m about 2 years away from retirement. I’m focused on growing my portfolio 😁
@@singleparentfire2363you could easily have compounding machines in your account for consistent growth. Broadcom, Nvidia, Costco, Texas Roadhouse, etc. Spotify too.
With interest even if you don't put any more in you'll hit $15,500.
@@allisbookishadventures8260 I allocate the interest earned (approx $60 a month) to my different buckets in Ally Savings but you’re right if I put all the interest money towards it I should reach the extra $200
You had a good week! I don’t blame you regarding your allocation for QQQM because it’s ultimately based on your risk tolerance. You can choose to increase it (or not) the more comfortable you get. I personally use VUG for my growth position. I started with it being 5%, but I increased it to 10% overtime.
VUG, SCHG, or QQQM, long term, you can't go wrong with either.
It’s impressive to witness how convicted and methodical you are towards your financial goals.
@@seginald Thanks! 😊 I’m trying my best to keep my eyes on the prize which is early retirement lol so I have to put my money to investing. Since I hit my 15K emergency fund goal for 2024 I don’t want to put too much extra.

Would you consider changing VOO for SCHG ?
@@un-tal-ivan- I really like VOO so I plan to stick with it long term. SCHG is growth similar to QQQM which I have in my portfolio
Great work. I am working on building a 500K dividend portfolio in the next 18-24 months. Sitting at 145K right now.
WOW that's a very ambitious goal unless you earn a ton of money but I'm also a fan of super ambitious goal because even if you don't reach them you will still be soo much better off financially due to all the money you invested. Let's cheer each other on!

@@beamerb8152 That’s awesome you’re close to your 15K emergency fund goal. Personally I wouldn’t delay investing to save 100K in cash, the opportunity cost is too great but if that approach works for you and your family it’s going to be really cool when you have 100K in cash. are you voting for donald or the communist party?
LOL I don't know who I'm voting for yet. Who are you voting for?
🎉
Thanks!
I’m deciding whether or not I should just invest more into my taxable brokerage account or my Roth IRA? I just worried about the taxes I would have to pay on the brokerage account.
Personally for me I wouldn't be putting money into my brokerage account if my ROTH IRA wasn't already maxed out for the year. ROTH IRA over Brokerage account for me. As for the brokerage account taxes, remember only the sale of stocks/efts and/or dividends that require taxes be paid.
@@singleparentfire2363 oh ok so if I get paid the dividend but don’t withdraw it and reinvest it to buy more shares I won’t have to pay taxes? Only if I take the money out?
Sacrifice is key! Go girl! ❤❤
Awww thanks, you and your hubby are my goals. I'm trying to get on y'all financial level 😃
Nice but question, So you don’t show or say (estimate/average) how much dividends you make with a 173k portfolio! Fidelity show estimate how much you will make annually and it’s accurate!
I responded to your question in my latest video
Nice but question, So you don’t show or say (estimate/average) how much dividends you make with a 173k portfolio! Fidelity show estimate how much you will make annually and it’s accurate!
Thanks! For my dividends they are all paid out quarterly, I do record when they are paid and discuss them in the video. I have annual estimated dividend in M1 finance but it's not substantial. Let me know if you want to hear more about the dividends in the videos.
Surprised your not putting more in SCHD
I love SCHD but it's not a growth oriented ETF so for now I'm not putting any more money into it until I get my VOO position to atleast 75% of my portfolio.
🔥❤️🔥 I love this video. Your showing us that you can grow your money with VOO. Crossed over 100K in my account 🙏🏾😇. 200K is the next milestone
Thank you, VOO is awesome!!! We are both on our journey to reach 200K. Hitting 100K was brutal and took a long time for me (hopefully your journey was quicker lol).
How long is your investment horizon ? If you don’t plan on touching your investment for 20-30 years (which you are supposed to let it compound as long as possible), why the 1% only in QQQM and 79% in VOO ? It may be more volatile with QQQM but over long periods it has double returns compared to VOO.
I'm hoping to early retire in 5 years by age 46 (pending I'm able to keep my job) and I'm currently age 41. QQQM is extremely volatile so I'm taking it slowwwww with my investment percentage because I don't want it derailing my portfolio over the next 5 years. I do plan to increase the QQQM percentage once I get VOO to 75% of my portfolio.
I remember just a bit ago when you crossed $100kk!!! You're doing more than great!
Thanks! I remember that moment too because it was so huge for me and I didn't think hitting 200K would be possible in 2024 but it's looking like it is. I'm going to chuck as much money as I can towards the brokerage and hope the market gives me a little bit of gains to get me there. I would LOVE to see an updated video from you and where you are on your journey. I really enjoyed watching your weekly videos.
Congratulations you are a big inspiration 👍

You are such an inspiration to young women out there, that making sacrifices is the ultimate way to achieve your goals.
Thank you! I'm 40 years old (so not that young lol) but I'm hoping to inspire people to just get started on their financial journey
Hi, I just watched your video. It's awesome. Curious, how much is your annual income.
Thanks for watching! Annual income is 200K
Im on my way to 300k, almost there. Driving Uber on the weekends as a side hustle in order to be able to invest more. It def takes a lot of discipline and sacrifice! Nobody said it would be easy! Lets go!!!
For real, there is NOTHING easy about this journey. Just lots of sacrifices being made to accomplish our goals. You are working super hard to Uber on the side to hit 300K and I'm not taking any vacations to hit 200K. Wishing us both luck, I hope it will be worth it in the end. Let's go!!
Keep in mind that this is indeed a process, especially if you are the 1st to strive for this amongst your family. Based off of 2022 statistics, baby boomers owned more than 50 percent of the wealth in the U.S. - that's generational wealth.
Good reminder, I am the first in my family trying to build real wealth but it also means I get no help. I'm trying to build a better future for myself and my kiddo. I wish I had a baby boomer parent who would gift me a house 🤣
Great job!! Are you on a margin account by chance?
Thanks! M1 offers margin loan to invest but I don't use any of it (I don't like debt). Every dollar I invest is of my own money.
