To answer your question, yeah! I'm not the biggest fan of Sam Darnold. But, I'd keep him as backup, released PJ Walker & draft a QB in 2023 NFL Draft (tight end & defensive back need to be focused on). As for Steve Wilks, that's a big question mark. For which Steve Wilks are fans going to see: 5-6 part (competitive) or Washington Commanders (Ron Rivera 2.0)? Plus, getting a new H.C. is risky (go ask Denver Broncos fans). We'll see what happens after the season ends.

Yeah. It has been a long time since Carolina defeated Pittsburgh (1996). Offensive Line have something special going. All they have to do is continue to improve. As for QB position, it's a crap shoot!

Man, you're asking some good questions! Matt Rhule will stay for one more year. If he doesn't make the playoffs in 2022, he'll be getting the pink slip. As for Cam Newton, he shouldn't play this year. In fact, off-season should had been on his brain last year. I can't see him being with Carolina Panthers in 2022. You're absolutely right about Ron Rivera's third year part. But, he wasn't feeling the heat like Matt Rhule is now. Plus, he didn't screw up the quarterback position.

Yup im from NC and live on SC GA border and am walking around as panthers fan can be miserable sometimes because im around mostly falcons fans here and it sucks. I wonder if they will give cam 1 more full season next year? Do u think Carolina will go for a quarterback in the free agency? or draft a qback? i know we GOTTA draft offensive lineman mostly. Its just been frustrating being fan of 20 years just such inconsistent team its litteraly like the rides at CARO WINDS being a panthers fan LOL. Well Pete Carroll and Jimmy J were both college coaches and both their first 2 years were awful and they both won SBs so hopefully it get better eventually.

As for Jimmy Johnson & Pete Carroll, you do make some good points. I'm not the biggest fan of Matt Rhule, but willing to give him a shot to coach this team & stop having a Madden football mentality in terms of decision making.
