Very fat cat.
7:20: Cute, but I understand the confusion. What you thought to be an L and I, is a U ;) It says 'automatiek', something that translates to like automat.
Ah 2:49 no, that's not a traditional Dutch lunch ;) Soup for lunch isn't all that common and though there are probably quite a lot of people who like a kroket, it is not traditional to eat for lunch. Judging by the fancy wooden tray it was served on and the bread used, this was a 'hip' restaurant that probably charges you the pretty penny for something silly. A traditional Dutch lunch would be pieces of bread with cheese or some meat. Peanut butter or sandwich spread is another option. For someone with a sweet-tooth, there has to be a slice of bread with chocolate sprinkles.
The blue tulip on that picture on the bag of bulbs DOES NOT exists .
The Dutch made the first colored flag for a nation.
Don't tell me that as a Norwegian, you never saw an electic car. Over half of the cars in Norway is electric! Don't tell me you never saw bulbs. And don't tell me you did not know that the Dutch flag was red white blue (I know the Norwegian flag has the same colors and a cross in it).
I'm from Australia! :)
The urinals are also used for the TV crews when they need an advantage point for an event.
Interesting!
These are called Krullen (Curls) They are ancient , that's why they are open so homosexuals could'nt have sex in there without it being obvious.
The Russian flag was designed by Tsaar Peter the Great who did an aprenticeship on a dutch shipping works?
This is what I got off Wikipedia: Two accounts of the flag's origin connect it to the tricolor used by the Dutch Republic (the flag of the Netherlands).[1][2] The earliest mention of the flag occurs during the reign of Alexis I, in 1668, and is related to the construction of the first Russian naval ship, the frigate Oryol. According to one source, the ship's Dutch lead engineer Butler faced the need for the flag, and issued a request to the Boyar Duma, to "ask His Royal Majesty as to which (as is the custom among other nations) flag shall be raised on the ship". The official response merely indicated that, as such issue is as yet unprecedented, even though the land forces do use (apparently different) flags, the tsar ordered that his (Butler's) opinion be sought about the matter, asking specifically as to the custom existing in his country.[3] A different account traces the origins of the Russian flag to tsar Peter the Great's visits to Arkhangelsk in 1693 and 1694. Peter was keenly interested in shipbuilding in the European style, different from the barges ordinarily used in Russia at the time. In 1693, Peter had ordered a Dutch-built frigate from Amsterdam. In 1694 when it arrived, the Dutch red-white-and-blue banner flew from its stern.[4] Peter decided to model Russia's naval flag after this banner by changing the sequence of colors.
7,22 Febo Alitomatiek ,...Haha !! (Automatiek) But you read it right,i am Dutch i also read it like that. they use a style of letters ,where the U looks like L I .
Phew, not just me then haha
한국 좋죠?
예
double vowels means its a clear open A as in KAAS or HAARLEM only one A sounds like as in dutch words jas Tas bak. Tickets for Anne Frank House you better buy online, it saves you ours of waiting in line
Hey Don Miata, thanks for the tips! Very helpful :)
Actually, I believe you now _have_ to buy them online. You then get a ½ hour timeslot for arrival and everything works great - visited 2 months ago (Mar 2019)
Nice . Do one on Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Hey Martin, I haven't been to KL before but hopefully one day!
The 'caves' in the St Pietersberg are not actually caves but the result of quarrying marl. Such quarries are in quite a few places in southern Limburg (Valkenburg is famous for them).
haha ,he is not alive lol :P
eyind Amsterdam.... wher are Groningen, Leeuwarden, Assen, etc etc dumb fucks Google : if it,s tuesday this must be Belgium (song). And U will know how europeans think about AMERICANS
Aaah de kinderboerderij
The Russian flag is actually based on the Dutch flag because Peter the Great spent time in The Netherlands learning to build ships. That's also why St Peterburgh has canals. Inspired by Amsterdam.
Hey EdEditz, that's so interesting, thank you for sharing!! We actually went to St Petersburg one month before getting to The Netherlands funnily enough!
@@vanessasprinkles6934 Hi can we get to know you?
watching this as a dutchy thinking since when do we eat kroket on top of plain bread?
Witte boterham, mosterd, rundvlees kroket, dubbel vouwen, plat drukken en hap.
Since beginning of times!
Gewoon, een standaard lunch in een restaurant: twee kroketjes , twee plakjes brood, wit of bruin, mosterd en wat salade als versiering.
Its quite common
o yeah tulip market in amsterdam
1969: if it's tuesday this must be Belgium. A parody to the idiotoc way the Amiees visit Eurtope. Good for you to see. So dumb. ua-cam.com/video/o1Sbh9cTxs4/v-deo.html
So nice to see people actually exploring more than just Amsterdam. Loved that you guys went to Maastricht, it's great imo.. there's also a mountainbike tour you can take in the caves all the way to a town called Valkenburg wich has some really amazing scenery as lots is build with marle.
Hey Looney, it was so enjoyable to visit lots of places rather than just the capital because I think it gave us a better perspective on Dutch culture. Maastricht was super cool, oh wow, thanks for the recommendation, I will look into it if I manage to go back :)
netherland is very unique country
tell me wy
I love it!
When you are in Amsterdam and do some things alls and visite Spakenburg the hidden jeem of Nederland on saterday there is a weekly market take the train to Amersfoort and then the bus 176 to Bunschoten Spakenburg on 1e saterday of September it's then fishery day in Spakenburg. #hecht spakenburg
Hey Gerben, thank you so much for your recommendation! I will add it to my list of places to check out if I can manage to go back at some point!
this is their 1st year as a student
When in Amsterdam a saté kroket is standard.
7:24 That was FEBO AUTOMATIEK (with an odd letter U in the font)
Oops! Sorry for the wrong pronunciation, the font was kind of funny and I misread! :)
LOL apparently the Efteling is located in 's Hertogenbosch (DenBosch) these days.... won't be long now before they'll call the Efteling 'the Amsterdam Theme Park'.
Yeah, just like they call Zandvoort aan Zee, IJmuiden en Wijk aan Zee 'The Amsterdam Beach' since 5-10 years or so. I mean, it's probably close to Amsterdam for tourist-understandings, but nowhere near Amsterdam for us Dutch people.
I love Mongolia
Well , well over 17 Million makes the Netherlands (or Holland) bigger than Portugal, Greece, Sweden, a.s.o. It is the most dense populated country in Europe. Because of the well thought out infrastructure you wouldn't realize this travelling through-out the country. B.t.w. the French took over the red-blue-white flag because The Netherlands was the first republic in Europe after the antiques of Greece and Rome. Tzar Peter the great also took over the red-blue-white after studying shipbuilding and city planning while he lived (anonymously) in Dutch Republic as a kind of tribute after he build St.Petersburg with the help of Dutch ingeneers ......
There must be stil a Dutch population in Rusia. But its nowere to find.
it was Oranje Blanje Blou like the previous South African flag. The Dutch called it the Prince Flag. Red White and Blue after the Napoleonic era.
Next time, visit the city of Groningen and do some "wadlopen"!
Hey Sahi PK, thanks for the recommendation! I will add Groningen to my list of places to visit next time - it's where Ryan's brother was born!
The reason that you didn't smell marihuana so much outside the city center of Amsterdam is that there are much less tourists. I seriously don't know any Dutch person who ever did drugs, but all my foreign friends did it at a certain point in their lives.
That's so interesting Sahi PK. I wonder why Dutch people are less likely to have tried drugs than foreigners? Maybe if something is accessible and easy to get, it becomes less desirable for people to try?
@@vanessasprinkles6934 That is exactly it. That's why our country tolerates it, but they didn't realy think of the tourism and the problems they cause when they thought of this policy.
Ha St Pieter is about 20km from where I hang out :D
Efteling isn't in Den Bosch >:(
Sorry, my mistake! We were staying in Den Bosch to travel out to Efteling so I got confused!
and also not in urk
@@vanessasprinkles6934 Kaatsheuvel
So why nothing about Den Bosch? The world famous weird creature painter Jeronimus Bosch was born there somewhere in the 16th century. Maybe a little less about amsterdam and more about the rest of the cities. Amsterdam is globalist with posers that live there. The real Dutch are normal people not like the arrogant snobs in amsterdam. @@vanessasprinkles6934
most flags in the world with red white and blue are from Dutch decendens! One example is the Russian flag, which on its own influenced a ot of flags in eastern europe!
The Dutch flag used to be orange, white & blue. Just another example.... You are not making sense.
You need to do some research mate, Pepijn is absolutely historically correct.
Malle Rups only royalist used orange, others always used red white and blue even before the 80 year war.
Another fact. The Dutch flag with the colors red, white and blue only emerged at the end of the 80 year war. In 1648 orange was replaced by red. The colors orange, white and blue come from the time of the Repulic of the Seven Provinces. The Netherlands as a country did not exist yet.
yeah no thats simply not true lol. at all. the original dutch flag is orange white and blue. not red. its called the prinssen flag. www.newhistorian.com/many-flags-red-white-blue-part-one/7406/ read this. thats why. not because its from the dutch decedents. they dont even know why we changed orange to red. no historian know exactly why. anyway read that article. its not nice to spread false information you know
Your Australianess came out "its smaller then New South Wales" and you seem amazed by the size of the houses. This is the way we do things in Europe
Lol Europe is a pretty big place so I'm not too sure about that one :P But yeah...things are definitely very different from things down in Australia!
I think the loud 'school kids' were probably university students-to-be. The fraternities have introduction weeks (and lots of hazing rituals) in the summer before the first semester starts.
Pretty sure you're right. Nobody else wears ties like that. :-)
ja dat zijn ze zeker
It was so cool to witness!
feuten ,(pledges) student hazing,...
I didn’t know the Netherland’s had fraternities. That’s interesting

Did you go inside St Mary's Church? Did you like Rynek Underground (beneath Market Square)?
AlatarIstari Hello! I didn't go inside St Mary's Church unfortunately. This might sound weird but I think when I was there I forgot that you could go inside churches to visit. For the Rynek Underground when I went to buy a ticket they said that they had booked out for the next few days and I told them that I was only in Krakow for 3 days but they didn't care. I really wish I had been able to go inside. I have heard it is very cool. Have you been?
Yes, I have and it's very interesting but I think you lost more not going inside St Mary's Church. Fortunately there are panoramas: www.pajorama.eu/wirtualnymariacki/mariacki.html#/Fasada/
Thank you for linking these photos. They are so beautiful! I really loved my time in Poland and hopefully one day when I return to Krakow I will go inside St Mary's Church and Rynek Underground. I also visited Wroclaw in another video :)
My pleasure. Nice to read you liked your visit in Poland. Have a nice day :)
I'm going to Italy this month. So, exciting
Edgar Opengo Enjoy! It's so beautiful. I recommend visiting the Amalfi Coast if that isn't already on your itinerary!
