    I got mine working!! i use a light weight 60v dewalt cordless blower!!! so before i found this other video where the guy added a baffle - i found soo many and even though my design was close to theirs - i would get way to much clog of deer corn and my blower wouldn't push the corn. if i slow fed it, then sure it would work but we all want to dump a full bag into the feeder bucket/trash can, etc and move on... -- the BAFFLE IS TH KEY!! when i watched that other video with the baffle it saved the day! it kept the bottom tube from being packed with corn as the baffle limited the amount that could fall through and it allowed a large volume of air to get behind it!! i had a 3x3x3 long sanitary tee, and i found a perfectly round plastic drop in cup holder that i was able to hack up and happened to luckily fit inside the PVC 3 inch sanitary tee... this chocked the opening and didn't allow way to much corn.... again, my design is very very similar to this video - and the TEE would dump way too much corn and clog the bottom.... even in this video see how he is NOT FULLY dumping the corn in the bucket hes slow feeding it... and in the clear tube you see small amounts at a time flying up the tube..... the baffle really helped keep the amount of corn falling in. i had a full 40lb bag empty in under a min.... it works great! the cup holders i bought that fit my 3 inch sanitary tee - the cup holders were from amazon - search ""JSP Manufacturing 2 7/8 Black Plastic Drop in Beverage Drink Holder Plastic Multipack Wholesale Bulk Listing "" i had bought these cup holders for a 4runner mod on my rear bumper. they just happened to drop into a 3 inch pvc tee perfectly. i did have to cut open the bottom of the cup holder of course - i just used my saw and cut the bottom off.

    Do you have a baffle in pipe where corn feeds in or does it drop straight in

    • @brianschroder1393
      @brianschroder1393 Рік тому

      Yes there is s baffle made from a soup can that confines the air to the bottom half of the tube just prior to the corn inlet. It makes a low pressure area at the corn inlet. Without a baffle the corn just blows out the bucket

      @@brianschroder1393 - I'm trying to use your design for loading wood pellets into a small silo. I can't get past the pellets just blowing up out of the hole. Any chance you'd be willing to take a picture of the baffle? Or, does it just block half the vertical pipe coming down from the bucket? I can't really picture it. I'm normally pretty swift with this kind of thing (I think!) but this is really "baffling" me (sorry, couldn't resist). Thanks.

      Sorry for the long delay in answering. I've been traveling. I think I can help you. I have a cad file I generated based on measurements taken of the pocket and I made the prototype off of that. The finished product took some extra material removal to fit properly and I haven't removed it to re-measure the finished part due to lack of time and interest from other parties. I'd be happy to share the baseline file with you or discuss manufacturing a few of them for sale. Let me know if you're interested.
