As a boomer (68), it’s not proper to not have periods or double space after a period. And I won’t even get into correct spelling. Geez, Louise. Not to mention I had to look up if my son was GenX, he is and that’s how I got here.
You were supposed to double space???
It is not the same thing!! Grow up!
still do this shit 😂
They really went "all in" trying to dress her like a child, especially when you consider the fact that the actress was like in her 20's.
oh my gosh. i’m so gay
I had no idea it had changed. I still double space after a period. Obviously lol.
What’s wrong w u
So much but I love that
It’s all in good fun 🙃
Gen X here. Almost NOBODY in the comments even realizes what double spacing really is 😅😂🤣😂🤣😂. So let the last generation with a REAL education break it down. Its honestly stupidly simple and i already did it twice. But since the obvious is few Millennials strong suit and no Zoomers suit at all, here goes. When beginning a "NEW" Paragraph (be it the first paragraph and any subsequent paragraps) the FIRST word is always started 2 spaces away from the edge of the writing line (called a margin). A margin ranges from a half inch to an inch from the edge of the paper and is usually printed as a vertical red line on either side of a ruled paper. This allows ones eyes to visualize where one paragraph ends and another begins. Further more, most paragraphs are separated by a full space depending on the writing format. Also a full double line space is used when separating the title of a paper from the beginning of the first paragraph. It litterally makes a paper easier on the eyes to read. Because its not so uniform in appearance that it looks like its all squeezed together with no beginning or wnd being apparent. Your welcome, you poor poorly educated children. If you actually read this, then you leveled up a a writer. ❤
And I do get it don't get me wrong, but then again I'm not a retard
See, I don't get it because; I'm not a retard...
willow dresses like 'chucky'
Always double space after a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark. Always.

Never double spaced. So glad I didn't have to worry about this weirdness.
yeah it is Gen Lazy
We sure as hell didn't do that in 2000
I'm way too old.. I seriously type the double space all the time.
I Will ALWAYS double space. For those of us with visual issues, dyslexia, brain injury, etc. that extra space makes reading and understanding easier.
Typewriter tech!!!
When did we stop double spacing? Lol
Me dbl spacing after a full stop....just bc and to irritate 😂😂😂😂
Yep! This was a major paradigm shift for many of us. Like, when tf did this happen?!
🚛🤣🤣
It’s nothing to do with grammar. It’s about readability and was originated in printing presses. Consider it part if layout of print for easy reading.
I always double space after a period. 🇺🇲
Oh yeah! I forgot we used to do that!!!
Man, at first I thought this was about 2.0 spacing :))
First thing that came to mind was double spacing the lines, so teachers can grade btw the lines
I'll still do it. You drill that into my head, I'm doing it. Plus, I like how it looks better.
millennial here. I never double spaced after periods. you only do that with typewriters.
I REFUSE to drop the second space! 😤
OMGGGGG YESSS I USED TO DO THIS BCS I FELT LIKE THE LETTER WAS RIGHT ON TOP OF IT
I'm so old that we needed to learn cursive in school.
I didn’t even know double spacing after a period isn’t correct anymore until a couple years ago when my mom was reading my essay and told me. I am still not used to it. I was always taught in school to double space after a period.
remember when pronouns were just grammar, NOT identity, oh the wonderful times, hehehe.
stop i learned this in kindergarten and they wouldn’t give up on it until sixth grade
Wait what? As a millennial, I grew up with double spaced meaning writing every other line on a paper. Used when doing rough drafts and stuff... people really do two spaces after a period?
