Jeg har ikke købt julekalenderen, men det er altså fantastisk underholdende! Jeg lærer også en masse på trods af, at jeg efterhånden har drukket på den gode side af 500 øl. Fornøjelse.

I tried but I don't understand this German dialect which could Süd Deutschland, Austria oder Schweiz?? I just tried one this evening. The alcohol is deceptive, one doesn't taste it at first. I thought,when zipping : "coffee" but some might say "chocolate". And it's not bitter and dry like a Guinness but if there is bitterness, it's hidden and it's just sweet enough to call this a easy drinkable beer. But after two, one doesn't know anymore the way home. So it's not a beer for everyday. I thought by myself "a 9/10" perhaps but not more because of its too easy character. That's exactly the score it gets online. Very good but not top.

Elsker at der er andre som bruger opvaskemiddel, som sansebeskrivelse! Jeg smager ofte ‘sulfo’ i mixferm øl.

Every beer you selected for this year's yule calendar contained a very different/individual character and justification for its choosing. It's been a rollercoaster of flavours. .... Just a suggestion! ... Next year, could you make a more inclusive calendar, with 25 beers, so I can also celebrate "the real Christmas day", on the 25th. Merry Christmas. ❤

Sudden Death Brewing Co. - Untappd 3.93 Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein Germany SUDDEN DEATH BREWING CO. - OUR STORY We are Olli and Ricky, two ice hockey loving dudes from Timmendorfer Strand in Northern Germany. Ice hockey is big and a traditional sport here, where we both grew up. Olli was an active player at the local team. Our favorite American team is the Boston Bruins. Needless to say: we ended up spending lots and lots of time in the USA, watching them play and cheering for them … and (somehow re-)discovering another passion: the world of handcrafted beer. Back home in Germany, beer was just a boring drink, usually a filtered Pilsener was what you got when you went into a bar or pub - plus an occasional wheat beer maybe or a black beer when you drove down South. Officially, there were lots and lots of brands but honestly, hardly anyone was able to tell the difference between them taste wise. The status quo concerning beers at that time was “the more similar they taste, the less competition, the more similar the prices.” Money easily earned for the industry - but beer in a poor variety. That felt even worse considering that Germany used to have a reputation of being a beer nation. The beer landscape seemed to somehow have gone dreary in the land of the German purity law. And then there was Boston. Full of regional craft breweries. And all of them brewed their own beers, all of them tasted so much different from what we were used to, there were “old” and pretty much new beer styles, an intense variety of tastes, smells, looks … And we fell in love with the fruity IPAs, the hoppy, grassy Pale Ales and seasonal specials like pumpkin ales around Halloween and gingerbread beers during the Christmas season. … we were stunned by the sheer possibilities, the endless varieties that suddenly were on the table. Beer wonderland. … and also a place that didn’t exist in Germany at that time. No deli, no bottle shop - not even online shops listed beers like these. Yet, we were hooked and didn’t want to abstain from our new passion. A solution was needed and found in the field of homebrewing. Olli quickly got qualified as beer sommelier. And this is basically how Sudden Death Brewing GmbH & Co. KG was founded. From that moment on, we developed and created our beer recipes in small batches in our own small brew heaven. Mashing, cooling, cooking, filling the bottles - we crafted every single beer on our own. Often times, especially in the beginning, we had to start over but we never stopped until we thought, the beer was perfect for our taste. Only when we were satisfied with how the beers tasted, smelled and looked, we’d brew them on a larger scale. Back then, we only had a 50 liters homebrew-kit, so we had to gipsy-brew at other breweries using their free capacities. Åben, København V - Untappd 3.62 Åben blev grundlagt i 2017 af de to venner Philip Hulgaard og Johannes Karstoft på Philips fødegård i udkanten af Kolding, men i dag er det Philip, der kører bryggeriet. Malten, der bruges i øllen, dyrkes på markerne rundt om bryggeriet. Det nye bryggeri med restaurant i Kødbyen bliver på 1.000 kvadratmeter. Åben blev kåret som Årets danske Bryggeri 2019. Bryggeriet fik hver femte stemme ved afstemningen blandt Danske Ølentusiasters medlemmer.
