Yeah, life is short so appreciate every bit of it. My parents are older than most people parents when their kid is my age so i need to start appreciating all the time i get with them

You should still apply. Above all, the committee looks for people with a sharp creative vision. They look for potential, not perfect technical knowledge (that’s why you’re going to school 😛). Having done short films definitely helps, but I wouldn’t call it a requirement. Submit your best work and show how you’re dedicated to the craft. I would also email the head of admissions (Paige Roberts) about this! Her email should be on FSU film’s website. She’s very helpful and I’m sure she’ll have more answers than me. Best of luck!

Thank you so much! For your portfolio, make sure it’s the best representation of your visual style in terms of quality AND your commitment to art/film. In other words, find a balance between only showing your best work but also show that you’ve dedicated yourself to improve over the years, however that may be. If you get called in for an interview, don’t sweat it. Just be yourself because the interviewers can tell when someone’s faking it just to impress them. You don’t have to prepare anything. Every interview goes differently because it depends on the person they’re seeing. Best of luck to you! Keep working hard and chasing your dreams!
