Hello my friends! My name is Kiersten and I have a passion for holistic health, fitness and personal growth. I'm here to share my experiences as I journey through life constantly learning and finding balance. If someone watches my videos and is inspired in any way, then that’s all I can ask for. On my channel you can find videos from part of my service year with AmeriCorps NCCC, and lots of lifestyle vlogs transitioning back into the real world. I’m so glad I found you! I’m in my first year of undergrad and plan to become a dietician. Can I ask what you got your bachelor’s in? I’m at a school that only offers a nutrition minor. Do you feel like you are at all at a disadvantage without a bigger background in nutrition? Also love that you are celebrating Chinese new year! I have a Chinese sister in law and niece and nephew and they have made me fall in love with the Chinese culture! So many beautiful traditions.
oh my gosh hello!! so sorry for such a late response. Don’t worry about only having a minor in nutrition. My bachelors was in biology and I had no nutrition background other than some extra nutrition courses I had to take before I joined the program! I do feel as though there are things that would help if I had more nutrition background, but I also trust that I’m learning everything I’ll need in my masters program And that’s so nice to hear! The culture really is beautiful. Thanks for your comment, so sorry I didn’t notice it until now but it made my night :)

I love these videos! I got accepted into NCCC with the pacific region this upcoming October and I’m so excited! I can’t wait to meet so many new people and travel to beautiful places. 😁 I was wondering, do you know how placements in Alaska and Hawaii work? Do people that help out over there stay for the full 10 months since it’s so far? Thanks for the videos again! I’m super pumped!
Hi!! Sorry for such a late response, I should get better at checking my comments😅 My friend Bella from my team will be there this October so I’d love to stay connected and hear about your experience!! For Alaska, there is a team that you have to apply, interview and do a fitness test for. I believe their service time is the same length but the difference is they do not come back to the campus in between rounds. As for Hawaii, a lucky team just gets assigned for one round!
