Peter Sprague Plays "Etude Z" in His Living Room
Playing "Take The A Train" in the key of G makes sense so I came up with a new melody and a few chord substitutions.

I've got a good space with wooden floors and minimal train noise. For this one I'm playing Jobim's gem called "Passarim".

That is a piece for the ages. Stupendous playing Peter!
E a riqueza da música popular brasileira de um gênio como Tom Jobim, na interpretação fantástica desse grande mestre da guitarra, Peter Sprague, parabéns.
Great!!! Would be nice if you could make a lesson to this song:)
Great job, listen Rafael Rabello playing this song.

Nice! Here in Brazil there are many guitar like this, but your sound is amazing. Gontrats for your technique. :)
Hi Raul, thanks for listening and my guitar is a handmade instrument by Yuris Zeltins in San Diego. I've had it for 25 years and just love it! all best, P

Amazing!!! Where is the tabs???
Fantastic!
Heard Peter Sprague Trio at the Escondido Library yesterday afternoon. Amazing musicians creating a glorious sound.
Amazing, sir. I have loved this song for years and always thought it was one of the most sophisticated and wondering boss compositions. You do it sublime justice. Kudos.
yes this is one of Jobim s masterpieces
"marceneiro paulo" tune detected! rsrs
Excellent. Truly beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talent Peter.
Bravo!
Hi and thanks for the nice words. And for sure looking forward to the Paper Moon hit. I'll see you there..best, Peter
Rather beautiful.

Excuse me ~ The below comment was at chazbuck02
I do not know you nor do I know how much you know of Peter, but I wouldn't judge his ability solely on this video. Peter is definitely a World Class guitarist. He may not be as complex as RT when it comes to solo guitar, but he is one of the most melodic and sophisticated guitarists I have ever heard.
Perfeito meu amigo! Gostei como voce misturo duas musicas brasileiras! Fantastic playing, I have it favorited!
I am moved by this beautiful song. One of those underated jobim gems.Nice playing peter.
briliant !!!
Son, clearly you are clueless when it comes to music and playing instruments... ;)
brazil best music best pilots etc
The song he is using as an introduction is MARCENEIRO PAULO by brazilian guitarist Hélio Delmiro.........
Wow Peter! Are you running, like, Oracle version 2510 in your brain to keep track of all those different (and each beautiful on their own) voicings???? What a journey through this rich and misty forest. Haven't listened to your stuff since your first "Road Work Ahead" video used to be my VCR repair test tape. I always like to listen to one of your melodic solos as a final test before giving the VCR back to the customer. ha. Just beautiful stuff.
This is just beautiful...thanks for posting...
Great! Awesome rendition! But... no surprise ... Mr. Sprague has been a master for a long time. He is an incredible musician!
AWESOME!!
I was at Anthology on Easter listening to you and Andy and was amazed by all the talent. Andy is a wonderful friend of mine. Peter, I kept asking to the people beside me what type of guitar you had. Amazing techique that you mastered. It was such a treat! Thank you.
