Track content with an e46 BMW M3, an NB Miata, and a 2018 BMW M2. All stock power and aero.
What "using the whole track" means - e46 M3/S2000 chase at Thunderhill East
Tires on the M3 barely had any grip left, so @racecar_visions and I were just messing around on an empty track. I really had to use every single inch of the track to try and maximize traction. This is what they mean by using the whole track for entry and exit.

A very, very bad lap on old tires but still managed a 2:01. It was my first time driving this car at this track, so was still figuring out which gear to be in for certain turns. Was in the wrong gear for way too much of this lap and made a lot of mistakes. The tires fell off shortly after, so this was the best lap that was recorded. Only my second time driving this car in 6 months :( Had a 1:59...

NB Miata is 100% stock motor and power. Had to let off a bit each time I caught up to his rear bumper. Despite the clickbait title, it was all in good fun!

No Aero e46 M3 chasing Aero S2000 (@racecar_visions) at Laguna Seca with GGLC before running into a bunch of slow moving traffic. Both of us were still dialing in our cars, so we were just messing around. It was fun while it lasted...

100% stock power/tune/engine. Tons of traffic so my tires were pretty greasy by the time lap 7 came around. Made a few mistakes but still shaved a few tenths off. Was mainly just messing around this session. Car still feels great! Motor: 100% stock Suspension: Lots of bushings and MCS 2WR TC Design Cage Brakes: Stoptech ST40 fronts Tires: Falken RT660 275/35/18 with 4 days on them

100% stock power/tune/engine. Breaking in the new clutch on the 5spd and giving a friend a ride along, so not going 100%. I think a 1:39 is on the horizon with some fresh rubber. 100% stock power/tune/engine. First time ever driving the e46 M3 on track. Seat was too low and far from the steering wheel, I could barely see and my arms were almost at full lock while turning. Still managed a 1:42.1 during the first session. Car has 30s in it easy. From March 2021. Mostly stock 2018 BMW M2. Lots of mistakes, easily another two seconds left on the table. Was not going 100% since I didn't know the McLaren driver and I had been catching up to him several times per lap. Suspension: Stock dampers/shocks. Stock tune with front mount for the hot days! But the large FMIC on the stock tune ruined my throttle response.

God that double downshift at about 50 second mark was insane. Didn’t even upset the balance at all. Super super smooth and precise

If you are able to pull that far away in every single straight, and a 100hp Miata catches back up to your bumper that many times in one lap...then yea.
You could easily add another 100whp easy with an S2000 motor, S2000 body, S2000 chassis, S2000 transmission, and S2000 steering wheel swap

damn! sick lap. how do you feel about the e9x m3? i see this car and the m2 on your channel but not the e9x
I love e9xs, but they are very heavy and will go through tires/brakes a lot faster than the e46. But they are relatively easy to drive (as well) and the v8 is amazing. But for long term tracking, it would be at the bottom of my list.
