    How often is there an appraisal on the Roadshow that brings one to tears? Geoffrey Munn was without peer.

    What an incredible story! What a priceless gift! I hope she never sells it but continues to hand it down through her generations with the story of her family’s great loss. That ring is a tangible connection to the Holocaust that must never be forgotten!

    Modérn technology, including UA-cam, unfortunately gives voice to fringe weirdos, probably Nazis in this case who did the thumbs down. What a compelling story! With that provenance, that ring is worth 100x that value, and I predict, if the owner records and preserves its history for posterity, she could get that price. I still wouldn't sell it.

      Why is it, if u r tired of pity stories of one race, people or country u r considered to Europe idiots that u r a nazi,? How about just tired of pity stories. There has been 5 wars since world war 2, countless suffering, people hid their possessions too. People's families were killed. But it is like a badge of honor, if your a Jew, u r pitied the rest of your life, by the Europeans. It's ridiculous.. move ON! If u met an Israeli now, he would be first in your face to say he is nothing like the Jews in world war 2. But Europeans do not seem to accept that. I have no idea why?

    What an incredible history! And such forethought of the owners father to hide away the family jewels as sure it would have found its way to the Nazi coffers n lost forever. Makes one think how many other similar stories there are and likewise treasures hidden away n likely never to be found because of the tragic deaths at the hands of Hitlers henchmen. Also other stories of like that families returned to recover such things and pass to their loved ones. Such a journey this ring has had and the story it can tell forever. A priceless gem indeed to this woman and her family!!

      Guess beauty is to the beholder. Many people r tired of Jewish pity stories. For people in Hungary and Poland were slaughtered, but u never hear of their stories do you,? Or where they hid what they had, ect... U may not like what I wrote but I am telling truth, people have moved on.

    • @fayebelzberg6349
      @fayebelzberg6349 6 років тому

      Dear Writer: I am sorry that you are so lacking in empathy and sympathy. It is the worse mistake that we as a planet make, we do not learn from the past, so the slaughter of innocent civilians continues. There are a great many books written by survivors, from many different countries, who survived the worse atrocities. I suggest you go to the library and read them. It is not just Hungary and Poland who have suffered from the consequence of war. As to history of Poland, I was named after a young child who was thrown down a well, her back was broken and she died in agony a few days later. This happened a long time ago, long before the Nazis even existed. Despite the teachings of Jesus that we should love our neighbors, innocent Jewish people were the target of violent mobs of so-called Christians. For centuries violent demonstrations against Jewish people took place all over eastern Europe. Do not dismiss our history as pity stories. The fact that people like you can dismiss a ring and its history shows exactly one thing, you understand nothing of love and compassion.
