LOVE THIS ALBUM
Masami Tsuchiya: All Guitars, Vocal Steve Jansen: Drums Parcy Jones: Bass Mick Karn: Alto Sax Kiyohiko Semba: Japanese Percussions
I prefer the album version. This sounds rushed. Spoils a beautiful song.
Whenever times are difficult, I listen to this song. For a few minutes, my worries disappear. I appreciate those moments.
Why does the background music remind me of Silver Moon by David Sylvian.
I'm still amazed at how much these lyrics are gripping the very existence we live in today. Quite scary on a lot of levels. 1/24 and 63 years old still enjoying The Call
Late chiming in, lol apologies. The walls of Jericho, some twenty foot thick in places, as the congregation of Israel walked around it and those inside Jericho stood on the walls laughing at them. Reread the Biblical story... blowing horns, shouting together as one, ... and consider the science e we know today of sound waves. Fascinating study as you read the Biblical account with that in mind.
The man was, is and will always be remembered as a musical genius in my book. What a stunning piece of work Chimera is!
this sounds sped up. the album version is slower.
I bought this when it came out being a huge fan of BeBop. Forward, I have listened to this album thousands of times. I have roughly 7000 Cd"s, a couple thousand cassettes and many lps,.. this ranks in my top ten.
Another Brilliant album from Bill Nelson! His music will always be in my heart with such admiration.
I love this song and still sounds good.A Brilliant Gem!
Sadly Yukihiro Takahashi who did a lot of drumming and programming for Bill around this time passed away last month aged 70. Founder member of Yellow Magic Orchestra, incredibly good drummer, friend to Bill and a very sweet guy. I'll really miss him.
damn good post BBD gem of a song
One of the best bands of a great decade. This song always sounds good and makes me feel better.
"I don't think there are any Russians. And the ain't no Yanks. Just corporate criminals...playing with tanks!" Prophetic.
I'm old enough to remember "ACT UP" from my N.Y.C. days 🧑🦳
A great song for a Bad thing the stupid war. 1983 . Great performance of this underrated american banda. I only hope that a lot of young people turn and see this Jewel song.Cheers My Friends.
Great album, and some fantastic bass playing and drums..
Listen to this on 0.75 playback speed. The strumming echo/reverb is heavenly, and the choral interplay is (even more) mesmerizing.
warm orange and gold streaking across the horizon
10 track, this seems more like an LP to me
That's the one with bonus tracks. The original only had 6.
Betsu ni means "I don't mind"
My deceased friend's favorite. RIP David Sowano of Birmingham University 🎓1985-6. Think of you whenever i hear this beautiful song
And now Yukihiro has passed away.
Is it possible to buy Betsuni and Stay Close on CD? I’ve searched a few times and drawn a blank. 😔
It's on an oop cd. I have it. Lucky me

Can't believe it's 2021 and I only just discovered this wonderfully stirring little synthpop song song. What a banger!
#Afghanistan The Taliban came from other countries as Mujahideen, to fight the occupation of the USSR. We (USA) helped to create the Taliban, by arming, training, & funding the Mujahideen to fight Our proxy war against the USSR. Oil, & poppy fields gotta be kept safe.
People to slow in recognition of great artist this fella one of the best!Been listening since a kid!
In regards to the first image, the phalanx of corpses: well, we tried.

Stereolab I like a lot! 😊
♥️
Very good 💮 😸
Peaked at No. 74 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1983. GREAT rock/ New Wave song. Like an American U2 kind of. LOL
Saw them in a bar in S.F. back in the day. Incredible band, crazy night.
Did you get to chat w/them? Were they approachable ? Thx in advance -
@@houseofsolomon2440 did not get to talk with them. it was a pretty rowdy crowd. Garth was great fun to see.
Yukihiro Takahashi from Yellow Magic Orchestra play drums on the Chimera EP
And Mick Karn of Japan plays bass on one track, not a fret in sight.
This is so, so, so freaking good it hurts.
After the triumph of BBD , part of the anti-climax.
