The Journey Home
Well, that's it! My mini break down on the Ceredigion has come to and end. Join me in revisiting some of the iconic locations from last year's three day break, working on the Glyndwr Way. Finding the flavour as I'm going to complete this 135 miles route over the next two days!

Misadventures on the Ceredigion Coastal Path

Hi everyone! Day 2 of my holiday on the South Ceredigion coast. Off for an explore today and see what sights can be found! Things don't go to plan. And the flies. I've never seen so many! Looks like 18 mins is the limit if I don't want that video skipping that you see towards the end. Any suggestions greatly welcomed!

Join me as I deliver my nephew's birthday card and money on my Voodoo Braag. This was to be a test of my current fitness and my ability to deal with gnarly hills on a route that I sort of knew. Ended up being 33.06 miles in the end. Lovely day with great weather, I was glad to be out on the bike. A there and back again journey through mid Wales from my current home to my childhood home.

      Sorry I’m a bit late replying and you may or may not have decided to buy… it’s faster than my old bike which was a cheap Apollo I bought when I was at uni. I haven’t got much else to compare it to though. I’d say it can go pretty quick but the tyres it comes with are quite sticky on the tarmac. I don’t think I’ve been much over 45kph

      You could go as a complete novice. I went on my own but I had a friend with me on a paddle board. I’d never been alone in the canoe and had only seen the j stroke in videos. My technique needed work but there were no dramas. They’re very good. They tell you where you can go and give you all the equipment you need including a whistle. I strongly suggest giving it a try. Perhaps with another person to start off with until you gain the confidence to go alone.

    Hi there. I'm actually on my second run through of this series of videos and am again finding them informative and highly enjoyable. I often find myself saying this to likeminded content creators, but it's absolutely criminal that your videos haven't received thousands of views! I'm planning on undertaking the hike from Knighton to Machynlleth this February, so wanted to ask if wild camping spots were consistently evident on the trail. Many thanks, Adam.

      @strapsadventures 7 місяців тому

      Blame the algorithm haha! Seriously though, thank you. I have been struggling a bit lately on UA-cam and it’s nice to be appreciated. I didn’t actually wild camp on my run but I’d say that there are quite a few spots up on the tops. The only issue I think would be finding somewhere sheltered. Feb is definitely a good time when it comes to cows and sheep as they’re mostly in the sheds! Hopefully you have some good weather! Let me know how you get on!

    @lindsayshaw5091 Рік тому

    Enjoying your adventures on this route. I'm walking it in day sections at the moment. I have used the Cicerone guide but divided the sections up a bit, especially when the days have been a bit hot. What a fine cafe that is at Llanbrynmair. Last Sunday I walked from Llanbrymair as far as Llangadfan. The problem was getting back to the start if you leave a car at Llangadfan. No buses between Llanbrynmair and Llangadfan, and no local taxi service. My wife came to the rescue; dropped me off, and then she had a day at the coast while I walked ! I'm off to walk the next section on Sunday but, as Baldrick would have put it, I have a "cunning plan ". From Llangadfan the route heads basically North to LLanwddyn before turning a dog leg on itself down to Pont Llogel. So I'm going to do a circular route, Llangadfan as far as Pont Llogel and then take the road and a few paths back to Llangadfan! It's about 13 miles I reckon, and will make the penultimate day a little shorter. Happy Days!!

I would have purchased the Bragg today, but Halfords is out of stock; now debating spending an additional £180 for the Bizango. Have you any experience with the other bike I mention? wow spooky or what!! So over the last few weeks I decided to walk Glyndwr's Way in day walks and have got as far as Abbeycwmhir. There isn't a lot on youtube to get some reference points for the route and your vlogs were by far the best. Anyway, I was wondering wtf to look at as your vlogs finished at Abbeycwnhir when BINGO!! you are back at it!! LOL. Great timing. April I will drive early to LLanidloes and get a taxt back to Abbey. Great stuff, any chance you could do the whole route over the next few months.😁😁😁 Ta.

      Thanks for your kind words. I did to Mach with the next two videos coving Llani to Dylife to Mach. They should be up next Wed and the week after with any luck. The four remaining days I have to cover this year at some point though I’m not too sure when… Glad I have been of some help 😁

    I liked the idea of a 3 ingredient meal. Nicely done.

    Hi there, nice video. Those ferro rods are great and will always spark even if it has been wet, but I always carry some good tinder also to guarantee them being able to turn to flame. I normally like some cotton balls mixed with petroleum jelly in a small water proof container for tinder...they burn for several minutes when sparked. Practice with the ferro and tinder sometimes to keep your skills up so if you need it you are familiar with it. They work great together. As a side note I really liked the music and good editing. Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you for the fire lighting tips! I’ll be sure to get some of those cotton balls. They sounds really handy!

    3 lighters, 2 stoves and a stove wind breaker...and no tarp or poncho, bivy bag an woobie for body protection...? That's an odd choice...!

      I did play a little of this but I didn’t enjoy it as much for whatever reason. Probably why I never got round to it on my other channel…
