My motivation for making this channel was to upload my original compositions and get them out there instead of having them collect dust in the shelf. I also try to do piano arrangements for songs that catch my ear or just had a lasting impact on me. I will try my best to provide sheets for all the music I write. Not only for me to be able to pick them up again one day but also for you to be able to play them!
I started playing the piano right before Christmas break in December 2016. Before that I played keyboard for about 4 to 6 months. It was my piano teacher who had me switch to the piano. Since that day my love and passion for the piano emerged and I try my best to improve as time passes by.
Unfortunately my studies take up an enormous chunk of my time which often leaves me with barely any spare time to devote to my personal interests among which is obviously the piano. That said, I will upload videos when I have something ready to play and show here :)

Forgotten Dream (Original Composition no. 20)
Sheets: cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/VinLudens/OC-020_Forgotten-Dream@release-assets/Forgotten-Dream.pdf
Don’t you also have these dreams every once in a long while, which overflow you with incredibly vivid emotions the exact instant you wake up from them? Dreams, which become more and more blurry the harder you try to remember them? Until you are finally hit by the realization that you already forgot all about it? Dreams, which feel so vividly real that it makes you wonder whether you just lived a moment from someone else’s life in a parallel universe? Dreams, which had such a deep impact that you find yourself lying in bed for another hour, trying to process the remaining fragments? This exact type of dream has directly inspired and lead to this composition, my greatest one to date I dare say!
I still remember it fondly; After waking up, I have a very intense emotion lingering deep inside; an emotion birthed from having lived through an incredible journey; a one of a kind experience which nothing else will ever rival. However, the more I tried to recall its events, the more the memory and its imagery started fading, until I eventually had forgotten everything about it. I was then lying in bed with grief, as I was pondering on whether I should have avoided remembering any of it, hoping the memory would remain intact, yet untouchable. The only thing left at that point were my emotions, which took a bit longer to fade away.
I started embracing these shattered fragments, trying to hold on to them hoping I do not forget those at the very least; they were indeed the very last thing I had left from my dream. A faint melody suddenly came into perception from afar. In my mind, I started moving closer to it, and it became increasingly clearer, until I found myself at a complete halt. The melody felt so incredibly nostalgic, so incredibly tender and so incredibly thoughtful, that it lend itself as the final catalyst to have these remaining fragmented emotions burst out in their full glory, one last time. I felt like I was able to find closure.
After that point, I started paying more attention to that melody. What started out as a hazy sound began to materialize more and more. Eventually, I felt a massive urge to take advantage of the clarity it now had, and write it down. I got out of bed, and headed straight for the piano, where I spent my entire morning writing down the melody, and allowing it to grow into whatever shape it wanted to grow. In a manner of speaking, I felt possessed; deep inside, my subconscious appeared to be holding on to something, and I let it take over completely to allow it express whatever it had left from the dream. My only interventions during that entire morning session were writing down the rough outline of what my subconscious was producing. And thus, the ideas for the opening section of the piece came to be.
When I came back to the piano in the afternoon that same day, I had already completely forgotten the melody as well. I have never felt such relief as when I saw my notes and listened back to the rough recording I took. From there on out, it was a matter of arranging the various fragmented ideas into a coherent piece. The question arose of how I wanted to tell this story: from the start of the dream, or from the way I retroactively lived it the moment I woke up?
I opted for the latter, as I did not want to "invent" anything in order to fill out the large blanks. I wanted this to be the most genuine piece of music I could possibly write, because somewhere deep inside, I could not help but feel as though these kinds of dreams are more than just "a dream". They make me feel as though I actually lived someone else’s life for a while, and as a result all the events, and all the people were in fact real. I therefore wanted to dedicate this piece to all the wonderful people and friends I came across in the dream, all the similar dreams that came before, and all the similar dreams that are yet to come! This one is for you guys!
A rough yet lengthy narration through the piece and how it represents the way I experienced the dream once I woke up can be found in the pinned comment. I highly welcome you to give that one a read as well if you already made it this far into the backstory of this piece.
Other than that, a very long and personal story for a change, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed creating every last part of this!
You have my deepest gratitude for stopping by here,
Until next time o/

[Piano] Restless Heart - The Dangers in My Heart OST

Sheets: ua-cam.com/video/-Fb_tygfHE8/v-deo.htmlsi=x6cAMf9vOR8-Buwn The Dangers in My Heart ended up dethroning my number 1 spot for romance anime, which previously was held by Oregairu. And I have to say that I was not sold on the anime at all during the first 3 episodes of season 1. But after seeing episode 4 and how everything unfolded over the course the first and even more so the second sea...
[Piano] Lost Again - The Callisto Protocol

Sheets: cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/VinLudens/ARR-020_Lost-Again@release-assets/Lost-Again.pdf A game that was vastly overhyped, but at the same time too harshly criticized … well, you might say that the latter was an inevitable consequence of the former. The gameplay is undeniably and unfortunately where this game falls completely flat, and it really made me dread most combat encounters. Nonetheless,...
BEAUTIFUL end of episode 1 OST - Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai

I was actually considering to drop the anime already before the OP played 40 seconds in. And the OP itself did not really catch me either. Things weren’t look good, but I thought to myself "hey, I can’t be like that, let’s at least see this first episode through". And before I knew it, I really enjoyed the setting and the depth of the characters. The OSTs in this first episode were also an abso...
Soumonka - The Witch and the Beast OP (Piano Cover)

Since the beginning of this anime season, I found this OP had a certain something which really drew me in. To the best of my ability, I can only describe it as sounding like a very typical and high energy anime opening; the kind that would get everyone excited to make covers for. I knew from the start though, that this one would be a tough one to crack. It all begins with the fact that the orig...

Sheets: cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/niveK77pur/VinLudens_Music-Sheets@master/OC-019_Shattering-Disheartenment/Shattering-Disheartenment.pdf Remember the question mark at the very end of my previous composition no. 17 "Forever Lost"? How it indicated that we don't know how things will continue? Well, this here is what I would consider just that: the continuation. Almost a year has passed since I alleged...
Intaglio - Dark Gathering ED 2 (Piano Cover)

Staring off the year with an anime cover … I feel like I haven’t done a lot of those as of late. Both endings from Dark Gathering felt like good choices given how stunningly beautiful they are, and they would allow me to go for something more relaxing again. I was initially planning to make a sort of medley between both endings, but I ultimately stuck to the second - and far more beautiful - e...

Sheets: cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/VinLudens/ARR-019_Snake-Eater@release-assets/Snake-Eater.pdf With the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Delta a while back, I thought it would be a great time to finally get back to this iconic song and give it my own spin! Prelude OP. 34 No. 20 - Dmitri Shostakovich

After the rather bizarre feeling No. 21, this one in particular came as a very nice and refreshing change of pace. The opening measures sound and feel so rich and full that it really tickled something in a very pleasant manner within me. And fair enough, I feel like saying that I really nailed the beginning in this recording. There are a few spots which turned out a little shaky, and the reason...

Sheets: cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/VinLudens/OC-018_A-Nonchalant-Walk@release-assets/A-Nonchalant-Walk.pdf Thematically speaking, I consider this a sort of continuation of my previous composition No. 16 "A Fresh Breeze". While no. 16 is very light and uplifting in nature, this one leans to more a more serious tone. After writing the story below, I realized that it somehow also closely resembles my com...
Prelude OP. 34 No. 21 - Dmitri Shostakovich

A very ... bizarre piece. The first peculiar thing is the odd time signature of 5/4 which had me struggling quite a bit for the first week. This odd meter really throws off the intuitive beat structure you would expect from a 4/4, and it was really tricky to count the 5th beat properly, but also to emphasize it properly. To make matters worse, the piece sometimes feels like it is pretending to ...

Prelude OP. 34 No. 14 - Dmitri Shostakovich

A gorgeously dark and sinister piece with a few more abstract sounding spots, which all around makes it sound like something I myself could have written! It felt so good and natural in my hands that I had worked through the entire thing in a mere two small sessions (to be fair, the piece was technically pretty simple and only a short two pages long). I spent the extra time polishing the interpr...
