it's interesting how hardcore and punk they were about saying no to _Green Hornet_ because of all the notes they'd get on a big production from the people paying for it. so they decided to bail on that Hollywood fakery and do another Clerks movie. only now they DIDN'T want to make it on a micro-budget like the first one. they wanted to do a big production. then they were shocked that they got notes from the people paying for it. I'm just surprised that round robin of self-imposed irony was left in. kind of makes them seem a little naive. and hypocritical.
it's fascinating this Mosier Producer guy is listing off his vacation destinations - INCLUDING how long he was there for. why is that in this?? "So I left, um, when _Jersey Girl_ was wrappin' up. I went to Prague to meet my girlfriend. And then I went to Lisbon, Portugal and went down to the beach in Portugal. I went to Barcelona, and that was like three and a half weeks. And I went to Australia for two weeks. And I went to New Zealand for four. And then I went to Fiji for a week. It was nice." I have absolutely no doubt Fiji was nice. Fiji for a week sounds really nice. really interesting place, I bet. why is that in this documentary about _Clerks 2?_ it's utterly strange to me, is all. it's like a child talking. but I'm sure all the Mosier fans of the world are enthralled - it's me who's the weirdo, here. it's not my scene. so what do I know?
I love this movie it is so so funny. But never in a million years in the real world would someone who looks like Rosario Dawson ever have a relationship with someone who looks like Dante. Only in the movies man which I guess that's why it's great
This is my absolute favorite KS movie. Thank God Rosario said yes. She was brilliant. I can't imagine the train wreck if Bryce Dallas Howard had said yes. That woman is a robot.
Holy shit I would be so nervous to have Quentin Tarantino review my movie in person but it's awesome to see him so excited and telling Kevin how much he liked the movie
53:12 lmaoo I love how he says, "I didn't want to do a typical donkey show, " like ahh yes, because we all knew about the typical donkey shows before this movie.
Kevin always wanted to be in the Hollywood club. But the way he became such desperate cheerleader for the garbage Disney and WB put out over the last 10 years is sad.
I'm a huge Kevin fan, but man, he REALLY shouldn't have done Clerks 3. I'm sure his heart attack had something to do with it, but it was a movie that didn’t need to be made. Even with all of his duds, I still wish that Kevin Smith had a chance to direct just one big budget, Hollywood blockbuster, Superhero movie. I think timing had a lot to do with it, because when he had a chance to write the Superman movie that never came to be, that old Hollywood guard (John Peters) looked at Kevin like he was just some untalented idiot kid who was only invited into the room because he knew a little something about comics. The only real old school, Hollywood executive who ever really gave Kevin a chance was Harvey Weinstein. Kevin seemed to have had a falling out with Harvey way before the MeToo stuff came out, because he was such an asshole to work with! So, once that relationship reached it's end, no other major Hollywood studio executive was willing to give Kevin a chance to direct a big budget, Superhero movie. I think that he would've had a very interesting take on the genre. Say what you will about the man, Kevin Smith was the voice of Generation X for a time. Clerks will always hold a special place in my heart because I was a teenager working at an Italian deli in-between college classes, and I truly hated it for all the reasons Kevin showed us in Clerks. All of my friends who are my age all feel the same way. So while Kevin may not have ever directed a movie that grossed hundreds of millions of dollars, he still managed to capture the hearts of younger Gen Xers who will always support him, even with his duds like Tusk. You the man Kevin!
I have never related to a scene/character more, than when Randal says "I hate everyone and everything seems stupid to me, but you were always the counter balance to that"
Ewwww, those Weinstein toads... What a bummer that basically *ALL* my favourite movies are Miramax movies. 1:09:19 Harvey Weinstein: "I want you to write this down so you can put it in your blog that I'm a *god* and I make things happen..." 🤮 1:13.:20
Kind of insane how in the Entertainment world if you're a Heroin Addict who runs from the Law and gets a Jail sentence, it's fine to just come back when you get cleaned up and we'll pay you a bunch of money. Any other job, Hell no!!
Ten minutes in, and all I'm hearing about is movies I didn't see and don't want to see. If you're going to make a documentary about A MOVIE, then make the documentary about THE MOVIE. I gave up...
I can say for a 100% FACT that my large groups of hometown friends(bout 60 peeps) 'were' all huge Kevin SMith/VClerks fans.. Im talking the books, seeing him in person at one of his tours & of course The coveted 'CLERKS ETNIES' which are more rare then Randal on Good Behavior.... ~~~Kevin SMith betrayed everyone just to stay relevant.. He isn't genuine with his wokeness. Nobody Gen-X or older are. It's all BS just to keep that pathetic hollywood status... What he did with He-Man was the final straw for most but he was doing that way before that & his ego is out of control. He thinks he is all that * then some & a real life Randal.. Ignoring my argument & pov there's still 50+ dudes that i know of in RL who used to love this dude who now hate him. Most people used to love a celeb & move on & stop caring but in this dudes case it's str8 ^ dislike! That weirdo BS might make sense in the Hollywood crowds but not in everyday real life people.. My whole crew was all mixed of every race & what have you & They would declare me & all of us a ish or obe in every way. of course none if it's true. But we aren't promoting it so with us or against is the left motto... ~Lastly,, Clerks was only special because it hit home with people who lived that mid 1990's suburbia lifestyle & it was funny.. But most fans of clerks could relate to it... /rant off.. sorry guys i woulda kept going & going... I used to sign my forum post with "in Kevin SMith our 90's are safe" ugh!
Part two is just as good as the first its just not the same type of movie ..and why would you want it to be they arent the same ppl from 94 ppl grow ppl mature ppl grow apart I.E ppl change ...its a shame when its a shame but things cant ,wont and never stay the same at least those first 30 to 40 years of life .
@12:15 The belt on that car….
It’s funny how they all assumed Rosario Dawson wasn’t going to be interested in the film and then years later she ends up dating Eric Andre
1:09:41 yikes
I miss fat Kevin Smith
clerks 2 best review in years .. and then said screw that and made clerks 3 blow goat nuts
clerks 2
I have to admit Clerks 2 was a great sequel and probably Kevin's Opus Dei.
Clerks II did not disappoint and the same goes for Clerks III.
Kevin mentioning harvey weinstein throughout this, aged like milk. Still a great documentary though Lol

Anyone know the song at 51:30?
“ You never go ass to mouth “ Ladies and germs i give you Ahsoka 😂
At first glance, I thought Mosier was Mewes with a mega beard 😅😅😅

*Then he undid EVERYTHING he'd accomplished with the franchise with the abomination that was Clerks 3.*
My friends. Look up Rodney Rude.
Strike Back and Clerks 2 are tied for the best of these movies
This is my absolute favorite KS movie. Thank God Rosario said yes. She was brilliant. I can't imagine the train wreck if Bryce Dallas Howard had said yes. That woman is a robot.
Strike Back and Clerks 2 are tied for me for his best movies
I never understood the hate for Jersey Girl. Ive always loved that movie and thought it was a great role for Ben Affleck.
Same for me. I watched in only about a year ago and thought it was a pretty good flick. Don't understand any of the hate for it.
Lmfao withered dicks 😅😂😂😂❤🎉
I love his films
Kevin's gift is to blend comedic and serious moments seamlessly
Snow ball should come back in a clerks movie
Harvey's in prison now, for using the old casting couch.

Clerks II is one of my all time favorites! It is one of those rare times when the 2nd is better than the 1st.
Agreed. Also, Ace Ventura 2.
Very true! @@MartyMcFly88

Is there anyway to find the song that plays at 52:41 ?
Rosario is the greatest.
Honestly watching this has given me a lot of respect for Kevin Smith.
So within the first two minutes they're talking about a roomful of men dipping their dicks. Ok so this going to be funny
Smurfs and your face turned blue from cream pie 🥧 lol 😂
I think the difference between clerks 2 and other sequel's, is that clerk's 2 isn't a cash grab like the rest.
God damnit....Silent Bob talks too much.....

anything for fame and money i guess, more power to you/
how did Rosario end up in 'the flick' or what not (hands waving around) mouth full of seamen? harvey 'YOUR FRIEND' weinstein.

Back here because I want to remember how much I loved a Clerks sequel.
Jay is such a cool down to Earth dude, I said what's up to him on his UA-cam channel and he replied.
Kevin Smith + Megan Fox Let's do this😘💋
