Yep they updated my cam and messed it up. Then I tried to get a replacement and they said my warranty was up. Customer support is a joke here. Takes hours for them to reply to you through chat via website.

Bro they’re not stealing your cell phone data, every time you get notifications or stream etc it’s uses data from your phone just like if you got a text or notification from any social media. You can turn off parking mode so it won’t stream or notify you. If you were constantly on wifi there would be zero data being used whatsoever. Most people have unlimited data plans so stuff like that isn’t much of a concern. And no offense but the way you’re sounding right now I’m guessing is the same way you acted towards them. The last thing they’re going to want to do is help someone throwing a temper tantrum lol.

Does anyone know a dash cam that uses LTE cellular. I agree this dash cam is junk never even connects to the App followed there directions. I am so returning it and calling my bank ~Chad James

It doesn't use your phone wifi to do the live streaming or any of those functions. But if you have it enabled in the settings, which can be turned off, it will automatically send the videos to your phone via the cloud as you drive. That is most likely how you data was being consumed.

I got mine yesterday. I didn’t hardwire mine. I saw a video where it comes with a harness for the mirror but I never got one. I don’t know if I was supposed to, so I hid most of the wires I could it’s only a little wire that’s coming from the camera but when I came home, not even the third use it just keeps turning off and on this thing is a piece of shit

Do you need a cell phone in order to have a dash camera? I have never owned anything but a landline phone, and a desktop computer.

I've used Nexar cams since 2015 and honestly I deleted the app and just use it as a plain dash cam. My phone would overheat with Nexar running the background and the cloud interface to review footage is HORRIBLE. Their customer service sucks so so so bad I saw they came out with this new cam and I was wondering if this would be any better, but the whole point of it uploading to the cloud etc is completely moot if the website is unusable, app sucks, etc I'm not sure how they're even still in business.

The one I got constantly restarts/powers off. I took it off the mount to see if maybe that was the issue. Nope it still does it. Their tech support is trash as hell so I'm going to return it. Shame it looks great and is exactly what i need but the thing is a piece of crap.

I just got this, I’ve used the S1 that works for what I expect it to.. But they don’t have that model anymore.. This is supposedly a better model but I haven’t installed it yet.. Hope it at least give me a better quality video than my last, and if it gives me the same features as my last then I can go with that.. But I get the frustration when a product does not deliver everything it advertises..

I just got a new car, and even though I've already got a decent quality cam, I always thought Nexar's cloud features seemed appealing and wanted to do some research on how to hardwire it. I'm glad I found this video because it seems like their customer support is lazy and all around disorganized.

I just bought it and have no issues...the one thing I'm noticing right off the bat with all these reviews is that the cellular data is installed incorrectly or people are using the wrong nexar app..

I have same nexar one Yes it is aa waste of money Don't buy nexar one It has lot of problems Now last two months it didn't connect To nexar app Only nexar lite was blinking 24 hour thats it So I spend money for only piece of s**t which is just blinking

I wished I had seen this video before I bought it. I used this trash for a day and a half, and already used 2 GB on my cellular data, and it doesn't do anything like it advertised. Hopefully, I can get a refund!

Yes, worst camera ever. I’m changing it, it connects and disconnects on its own. Also the notifications are endless. Totally agree it’s not worth it.

I literally bought mine when it released. They canceled my order then I reordered it. After 3 months of having the device it bricked on me so I opened a ticket and went through the whole troubleshooting steps for 2 months with 3 different people. It got escalated to their engineering team and then for 2 months they never responded. I reach back out and they told me they are still looking into it. Then I requested a replacement and had to pull teeth with them just to get a replacement. Also let me say I paid for the LTE subscription during this whole time. Then when they got my package they confirmed it was bricked and I asked them why it took 2 months to solve this and they closed my ticket after I asked that question.

Yeah this seems rly right. I have it for months now and i tried everything for it to work. I even connected it to the android device in my car. And nothing works. Recordings some times cant be accessed , other times there are skips in it. Like randomly stops recording. Idk its rly unusable and totally not reliable. I love the design and hardware is great but software is shit.

I really want this product to work. Haven’t installed it yet but I did just get my RMA in the email. I’m still waiting for someone to report positive experience (recently) with updates to see if it has improved to being workable at least. I had the BlackView 650 in my previous car and had nothing but issues with that one the entire time and that’s suppose to be the best. So I’m torn at the moment.

I wait 6 months for my nexar one, and doesn't work properly, parking mode suck, support barely can make good stuff alway make conversation so long and they not admit send to all costumers a bad quality product, I have a nexar beam and work wonderful, I thinking about to sue for false publicity on description for nexar one dashcam
