You can maximize handcrafting and enchanting and make equipment that grants you high mana regeneration for an unstoppable mage or very strong damage for a warrior, and of course best protecting armor. But then you'd miss the different interesting bonuses of the pre-made armors. So I wouldn't say better, it's a balance, you lose something but you gain something else. I wouldn't try it in a first playthrough, but in a second one could be very interesting

@P.o.L well, it looks like many of the unique bonuses boost enchant smithing and alchemy, so i will still be forced to use them if i want to maximize power. Im Assuming you cant Craft fortify alchemy/enchant/smithing enchants no? But if then, what will be expected magnitudes on the most Basic enchants like fortify attribute or Fortify skill, will they compete or will they be inferior? Im asking because i want to do an crafter lycan/phasma build and wonder if its worth it

@tomaszpawlik5091 you can find some fortify potions around, and at merchants, but I think you cannot craft them. I never tried to make armors myself, but I think they will compete, based on some posts I read like this one below. But the info is a bit old and things might have changed, the only way is trying! A documentary, I like it, thanks!! It takes an insane amount of time to choose the right scenes and the right music for each, with an overall musical theme for each mystery, I'm very happy that the final result is appreciated 😄

It's fast and easy, first time might be trickier but then it takes 5 minutes max!

@@P.o.L Gajus the Prophet seems to be the most popular theory, but I like to imagine him as one of the original survivors of Kadath, or someone from that era who has a personal connection to the Veiled Woman. That's kind of the beauty of stories like these, though - provided you don't go _too_ off the rails with theories (as a veteran of the Silent Hill fandom, I am all too used to those), there's no real "right answer" to elements like that, and I kind of don't want there to be. Makes it feel like it's your own personal story. Your own... Eventuality, even. 😉 Also finally watched the rest of the video, and I really liked your observations on the Beacon. Just little details like how the one in Old Dothûlgrad differentiates from the one the Order puts together is a neat catch.

@@beck-nightengale thank you Beck! That's the beauty of Enderal, it speaks to each of us in different ways, and tells us something new every time we look at it, it changes as we change. A true classic, something that never finishes to say what it has to say.

Transcendence was my first thought about the disappearance of the Starlings. But after visiting again the Star City I changed mind and started seeing the trail I was following this time was about technology. I agree however that also the Father and his group survive the Cleansing by transcending!

@@P.o.L True, but i don't think Transcendence and Technology are mutually exclusive. You analyzed it well yourself, starling technology is made from craftsmen AND mages. The Father might be a mage, but considers himself a man of science. His experiments are very similar to Apotheosis and much more technological than magical. His artificial bodies just don't need an external power source as they rely on 'biological processes' for energy - like food. Still True that we have no clue what Transcendece is, but it sure looks a lot like a mass teleportation with a specific power source. The starlings had their large power sources, and the temple might have had that exact power source that the Father needed. You did say there were no transport ships in the star city because everyone left. If they left for a single place where their version of Transcendence would happen, just some of them make it, and the rest crash into Vyn due to loss of power - even if its a long shot it all fits.

​@@scourge213 good points, and of course what's in this video is only my interpretation, and there are clues that I could have missed. The Star People could have found a technological way to transcend for example! By the way did you watch mystery #3, about the Black Libra? There I go more in depth about the Father, Rhalâta and transcendence.

I didn't leave a comment as I usually comment more on Reddit and I had nothing to add/disagree with in the video, outside of some of the wild speculations. I'm more on the 'The veiled woman is THE High one' theory team.

@scourge213 thanks!! That is an interesting possibility, I'm more on the "she's above all" at the moment, but I'll keep it mind for the investigation. So much of what I'm convinced of radically changes when I start reviewing the clues next to each other and I really want to try and keep an open mind, despite my stubborn nature 😄

My take is mostly the same, but I'm still not sure if she started it, or manipulated things so that it started, or humanity started it and she keeps it going. I think she "wants" humans to learn from this and grow from it...

I wonder if the Veiled woman helped the Aged Man back in the day... Also when the Aged Man hears of the new course of events this time, he might want to take part, who knows

I'm afraid nobody knows where the Shadow God of Nehrim went to. He is mentioned here and there in Enderal, but we are not told anything about what he did after Nehrim. There is however a book in Enderal called "Conversation With a Blind Man" that seems to be written by the Shadow Born of Nehrim and to suggest he is still alive somewhere.

Actually the book seems to suggest the Shadow God is now also in Enderal...

The WotD is necessary to acquire the Numinos, I think destroying it would not stop the Cleansing but only reduce the already small chance that a Beacon would be lighted with a Numinos (there may be other ways to get a Numinos?). Tealor says the Order received a tip that the Aged Man has the Word of the Dead, I think a tip coming from the Aged Man himself 😜

Nice, and I totally agree!! I think that's the real purpose of the Veiled Woman. But this video went more on the technological direction of the Cycle... maybe I should have gone for "What is the Beacon?" but it was a surprise for me as well 🤣

Still it was an amazing video, and I will watch it many times over to fully grasp everything, like anything you post. How incredibly lucky we are to live in a world where someone sinks this amount of time and effort into the story behind this niche subject. Never stop being amazing!

I had to put some thanks for you in the video and description as well, the more I went into this one the more I was reminded of what we talked about! And then that last thing, when I saw it I had to concede, by the Name of the Sun your theory was so right! I hope you enjoyed the surprise, I thought about telling you but didn't want to ruin the effect 😜 Oh I'm always hinting, at the next mysteries and some other things I'm thinking to share in between 😁 Not about Kor, I wish I knew how that quest was meant to end. But I found interesting that the strangest statues we find around are not Pyrean but from the time of the Fire People or even older. And that the faces represent the living gods for each civilization, the use of face-imagery in itself a pattern repeating through the Cycles. There is one thing I noticed on the Isle of Kor though, the banner used by the Children of Kor is the same found at Castle Goldenford, maybe the quests were meant to connect in some way.
