Model Railroad Track Inspection Day
And boy! Do I have a lot of imperfections! Nevertheless, mostly flawless running. Only 2 switches causing derailment sometimes, not sure yet why.

R90/6 with Silent Hektik electronic ignition
Переглядів 728Рік тому
You can obtain charger & coils updates from Silent Hektik, Germany. I only bought the electronic ignition, since my points would go wet in rain due to an accident causing defirmation of the cover. I am nit sponsored by anyone, I'm just giving my experience with products I personally use.

Where does the 60V AC leak come from? How is the voltage changing when reversing phase & neutral? Why & how is the leak voltage shape changing when going from 10M probe to 1M?

After at least 2 accidents, the first with a sidecar attached, my frame was low and skewed. The official frame straightening jig, that all dealers used to have, only aligns steering and rear swing arm. My trouble was much larger. CAD drawing will be shared in appropriate Facebook group file sections.

Thank you for taking time to make these videos, they are very useful for me. I am in the process of mounting a dnepr to the right hand side of a pre 1981 bmw r100rt (legal in the UK if reg before 1981) so that it can be used in Europe and America. I need the rear sidecar fixing that you have to allow for adjustability and noted the part numbers from motorrad-stemler. How easy were they to obtain?
Please tell me that in order for the electric motor to work, do you need to constantly send a signal to the digital inputs DI4 or DI3, or is a pulse signal from the button sufficient for it to work?
@@Reptiloid-85 can be configured either way on DI inputs
Alvast bedankt. Mvg Patrick
Hi again. Could you tell me pls, i have 1 scratch around the circle on the engine block right on the edge of the main oil pump gear. Is it ok?everything else looks fine. And one more question you have 32 Teeth main gear and that little half-moon hole above the main gear, what if sealant accidentally fill this hole a little bit and how avoid it? And that noise is making me crazy ua-cam.com/users/shortsfwC3VUNJf8U?si=wapj4VtormYctxln

Haven't found how to change it, Windows drivers won't install. Anyony have an XP laptop active? ;)

Hi THnaks for the great video. www.bayermotor.de/media/images/org/1292354-SH-Digitale_Zuendanlage_Silent-Hektik_1.jpg iam looking to buys this kit. From you video i assume i can put this into my bmw r45 1979, without the points. Thanks for your help.
Great method... wish the background music was quieter as your information is valuable to share

Hi👋 Can i replace that seal without special tool?
Using a suitable socket will work, it has to press on the outer ring. The tool just helps ensure all's centered. When using a socket, I suggest not using a hammer, but M8 bolt for pulling in or a vice. You may stack multiple sockets to cover the length of the axle.
@@ambassadorkees Thank You. I think the same about m8, not to smash, just pull it in.
Do you have to drain the oil aswell as the coolant Thanks
I did. Any engine work is a good reason for an oil change. However, the oil sump level should be lower, it is sucked in through a pipe bend.
It probably works just as well on any concave surface, even without the bezel.
Genius, an excellent diagnostic method
Excellent testing set up, I’ll be testing my Bandit injectors soon.
That’s a very neat and well engineered set up.
Superb video and details. If only I had a workshop as well kitted out and spacious. Thanks for posting.
I wish you luck!

Very interesting back-track motion after stopping. I guess that is to clear the optical sensor again?
Correct. Each track can hold 2 trains of variable length. First runs up until blocking the sensor, then reverses to clear it. The second one stops as soon as the incoming sensor is cleared. Minimum gap is at around 10cm.
To get the best pull away power (setting off from a stand) my R100/7 liked the air mix to be lean. After setting the balance I would go for a ride around the houses with a screw driver and lean off the air screws a tiny bit after each set off. The torque (pull away) was always better set lean but the leaner the air screw, the more it popped in the exhaust on slowing down, it was a compromise between best pull away power (torque) and least popping lol (Bing CV Carbs)
True, but lean idle may cause slow return to idle, so hanging on high rpm for a while.
This is by far the best method to synchronize, great video Thanks!
Ik zie dat afvalverwerking grens overschrijdend is. Duitse diesel voorop en een 1100 in opzending mee.
Richting 3e wereld hè?
nice. what was used as a fluid? how is this done on 4 cylinder bikes (honda cb's etc)?
The TPS only for idle position?right? and i should hear that clicking sound to adjust it?
Yes, you should hear a click when the TB connecting links have lifted about 1,5mm at the latest. Done precisely, you get it at 0,5mm from idle.
Good morning
Thanks. Midnight here 😉
Thank you

Hi, very clear video, thanks. The adapter you designed looks great. I installed my water joint with a socket and it split up the joint in two. If anyone knows where it would be possible to get an adapter similar to yours on the net I'm interested.
please i need that diagram
what contact info can you share? I can send it to you.
nice, precies wat ik zocht om mijn eigen plaatjes in koploper te kunnen zetten toppie!!
When setting lean out instead of using a board and string with weight and trying to measure it I simply place wood spacers under the motorcycle tires to simulate road camber. Road camber is 1 in 60 as a general rule everywhere. It's easy to convert 1 in 60 to imperial or metric measurement standards. Here in the USA there are 60 inches in 5 feet so if the distance between the motorcycle wheels and sidecar wheel is 5 feet then you would place 1 inch thick wood boards under the motorcycle tires. Then just set the motorcycle perfectly straight up with a level on the side of the motorcycle rear tire. I have a Honda VLX Shadow with a Velorex sidecar. My sidecar toe in is 5/8 inch. I started with 1/2 inch but found a slight pull to the right on a straight level section of road I used to test riding alignment. I then set tow in to 5/8 inch and took the bike out again. There was no pull to left or right on that section of road.
Great video thank you. Can I ask this. I was under the impression that the fuel regulator varied the return flow of fuel from the rail to the tank. Not changed the speed of the pump. The change of noise in the pump would just be the pump under more or less load. Keen to here your opinion.
I agree with that. Without a manometer, the changing pump sound is the only indication the regulator "does something" ergo works, be it without calibration. So, even if the regulator doesn't control the pump, the pump does give away the regulator"s action.

Do you know how to bypass the Mass Air flow sensor and still have the engine run ok
Sorry, I don't deem that possible. You must always have the correct stocheometric air to fuel ratio. So measuring of air is imperative for fuel quantity injection. We had a 35% fuel consumption reduction and much better running by 1. This cleaning 2. Replacing all leaking inlet rubbers, vacuum tubes etc. that introduced too much air. "Everyone" knows how much effect even a leaking Z-tube has. You can't run an injection engine with guesswork. (In theory a mapping could be made based on throttle position and rpm, but it wouldn't be good, only running).
Code please this was really helpfull

Well done. Have you modified the lawnmower to make it go this smoothly around the bends?
Yes, double magnets instead of the standard single.
Very helpful video, thank you for your time and effort. Anyone who bandages an injured finger with masking tape is ok in my book.
No bandage can stand the stress of working 😅 I did a second one without the hammer, only a M8 bolt puller. Same result, but safer on the seal.
Ambassador Kees I just purchased a 91 K100rs and I'm sucking up any knowledge about them that I can find. Thanks again, and yes I did subscribe so you'll probably hear from me again. A pleasure to meet you, Bill
You could've left the head on the cylinder. Saved you some time and it is better for the gasket.

Thanks for corrective input!
If its a relay where it's located?
Hi . I need help with my 86 r80rt . The headlight low beam is not working. But the high beam does. Can be the relay ?
No relay in the /6, don't have schematics of the /7 at hand. On the schematic, follow white and yellow wire. Probably dirt, rust or so on your left hand switch cluster, or a loose connection on the wire connection & fuse plate, if the/7 has similar construction.
Kun jeook voor analoog blokken maken en wat je daar voor aparatuur voor nodig hebt. zou je daar misschien een filmpje over kunnen maken groeten alfred.
Analoge locomotieven? Voor zover ik weet alleen met het Dynamo systeem.
Please use a proper step or stairs! You're freaking me out! Most accidents happen at home, please consider.
This is a piano/drummer stool with a 60cm diameter footprint, stable as can be! An actual 3-step A-stair was used earlier, but with the smaller steps, I found it harder to back down.
