My UA-cam channel provides videos for the three courses that I have taught at the University of North Texas including Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting One, and Intermediate Accounting Two. For my two intermediate courses, I have included every single subject. These videos have titles with numbers following the title from 1 to 21. Those videos labeled with an "a" following the number are the lectures for the particular subject. Those videos that end with a "b" are the accounting problems for these subjects. I believe that the videos with the accounting problems might be especially useful for students. You can always pause the video, work the problem yourself, and then restart the video to see how I work the problem. Best of luck with your accounting courses!!!
G-league Texas Legends Player Introduction
Not as exciting as the Mavericks intro but the games are a lot of fun to watch. It is easy to get great seats close to the floor.

This is very helpful, especially for an online accounting student. Thanks a bunch!
That is good to hear. I used these videos for my on-line classes.
Hello Professor Rumbo, how are you? I have this accounting intermediate II final coming up this friday that won't be including pensions. I have been doing continuous word problems and reading the mcgraw hill textbook. I was wondering by any chance you would have an sort of practice final exam or extra problems that's multiple choice. I really enjoy and grasp the information well from your videos which is a huge reason for my success this semester. I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
I used to do multiple choice practice questions in my classes, but I did not include them on the UA-cam videos. I know that McGraw Hill textbooks usually have multiple choice questions at the back of the chapters. Those are a great way to practice. They are always similar to actual test questions since they come from the same databank of questions.
Thank you for sharing! Your lectures are so helpful for the Intermediate Accounting 2 course.
I am glad they are helpful, that is a tough course.
Hi Professor, is this the lecture or just the practice problems? I can't seem to find the lecture in your intermediate accounting 2 folder.
This video includes both the explanation of pension accounting and problems. The problems are worked in the latter half of the video.
Ahh okay, thank you for the clarification!
All of your videos have helped me through my intermediate accounting class, and I am currently rewatching all the videos from Ch.1-Ch.10 to review for my final. My exam grades have improved throughout my course just by watching your videos. Your videos are painless, clear, and interesting, and I truly appreciate you putting yourself out there. (As someone who hates filming and recording myself!)
Thank you for your comments, Katelyn. I agree that it is hard to record yourself for the world to watch. I probably would not have done this without going through the need for remote teaching during Covid. My only motivation is to help students like yourself so I am glad that the videos are helpful.
Best explanation of diluted eps. Thanks again
I am happy to help.
Thank you so much. You make this so easy to understand
Glad it was helpful!
These lectures have helped me immensely, thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
Thank you, by the way your handwriting is great!
Thanks, you are the first one to ever compliment my handwriting, I am usually pretty sloppy as I try to get it done in a hurry.
Professor Rumbo, I truly want to thank you for you lectures. I got back my midterm and got a 94 with the help of your videos and the textbook. Thank you!!! 🙏
That is awesome! As I used to tell my students, an A is about effort, especially on an accounting exam. Great work!
Very helpful!
I am glad they are helpful.
was there a powerpoint lecture for Pension Expense?
Yes, number 17, look in my playlist for Intermediate Two.
I just reviewed this video for another question. There are no powerpoint slides for this subject. Everything is included in this video.
Hello, Professor Rumbo! I don’t attend UNT, but I am very grateful you made these video lectures a public resource. They have really helped me through my Intermediate Accounting series. Your teaching is clear and overall exemplary. Your students are lucky to have you!
That is great, many students are watching these from all over the country. I am glad they are helpful.

Thank you professor!
You are welcome.
Mr. Rumbo, for the last example 15-11 the interest rate should it have been 8 percent divided by 5 years instead of 4 making the i=1.6 instead and then calculating based on that?
No, the interest rate is an annual rate. However, the payments are quarterly (not annual), four times per year. Therefore, you have to calculate a quarterly interest rate or 8%/4 quarterly payments.
Thank you so much for this fantastic explanation.
You are welcome. It is a lot simpler when you remember why we are making these entries, to record compensation expenses.
Thank you for these videos! I am finally starting to understand the chapters I struggled with on a previous exam. I have the opportunity to retake the exam, and I think these videos will help me improve my grade significantly.
Good luck on the retake!
This is amazing thank you!
You are welcome.
I'm an all online student, and my teacher only has us read for the assignments. These videos have helped me understand the reading a lot better than just having me read 100 pages. Thank you for making these videos, as I'm not sure I would've understood some of these things before watching these.
I am glad they are helpful, I am surprised the professor doesn’t provide any lectures. I used these videos in my class in addition to live on line lectures.
I have a teacher that doesn't speak the best of english. It's great to run to your videos for translation after her class. thank you from maryland.
I am glad they are helpful. I do not make any money from these videos. I posted them to help students like yourself succeed.
I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago as I was looking for supplemental information while taking my Intermediate Financial Reporting 1 class. I am using the same text, just a newer edition. I have watched four of your lectures and the problem videos and they have been of great help to me as I work through this class. My professor is quite good, although it sometimes helps to receive the information in an additional way. I also have struggled in the past with accounting courses. Just wrapped up the midterms bringing my semester average to about a 96. Thank you for taking your time to provide this instruction.
I am really happy to hear this. Accounting is a hard course, but if you master it, you can make a lot of money. There is an element of logic behind all of the complicated rules. Once you understand the logic, it is easier to remember. Nearly all of the logic applies to how information will end up on the financial statements.
Mr. Rumbo, for the interest expense of $6,178 at the year end (44:18), do we need to create an entry for that? and if the lessor was recording an entry for 12/31 would they debit cash $15,000, and credit interest receivable for $1,142 and lease receivable for $13,858? Thank you!
The $6,178 is the combined total for all of the interest expense entries for the year. You can see where I added the interest expense from all of the journal entries that I did. The lessor would follow all of the same accounting and record interest income and an interest receivable for each of the accounting periods in the problem. They would not record the amortization expense because the asset has been removed from their books.
This is amazing. My professor is very kind and tries to be as helpful as she can be but she isn't very clear and concise when lecturing. This helps a lot, thank you!
I am glad they are helpful. Hearing the content from two different perspectives is probably helpful to the learning process.
Thank you for the time you spent making these videos! They've been very helpful 👍 I have one question for you. Do you have a favorite CPA study source that you would recommend?
It is hard to beat Becker for CPA study.
Thank you! Watching this as a student at Hiram College.
I hope the videos are helpful. Good luck!
Thank you so much for creating these videos! I’ve been following along since Chapter 1, and they’ve been incredibly helpful in my latest accounting class.
I am glad they are helpful. It takes a lot of work to make a good grade in Accounting. Keep attending class also so that you will know the content your professor is emphasizing for the exams.
thank you so much for your videos!! I have a question tho for the wage accrual of 4500 what would the journal entry be for the first transaction. becuase your increasing the liability (credit) so what account would you debit I thought it was expense but you didn't so im a little confused?
I do not remember the specific problem on the video. Generally, we debit expense and credit a liability for work performed by an employee before they were paid. When we pay employees later, we debit the liability and credit cash. The key here is that we want to record the expense in the same time period that the company received the benefits for activities such as work performed by an employees.
@@ProfessorRoy Thank you !!
Professor, thank you so much for your help. You helped me pass intermediate 1. I love your teaching style and the way you explain concepts to your students. Can you please upload a video on the TVM of annuities? My exam is in a week and it is part of the new spiceland textbook within chapter 5! Please and thank you!
I would suggest looking at my Bonds Payable and Installment Notes lectures in Intermediate Two playlist. Installment notes are very similar to annuities. The concepts are all the same.
@@ProfessorRoy Hey! Thank you for replying back. I have watched that video! However, my teacher is touching more on the TVM of the annuities and especially the PV or FV of deferred annuities. Im not sure if your playlist covers this. Do you have any recommended videos on these subjects that I can watch? Thank you for your time professor, I know you must be extremely busy.
I am not aware of any videos. You should probably rely on your textbook.
Hey rrumbo - where can I find 14a?
You can find 14a in the Intermediate Accounting Two playlist

I just want to say thank you so much for this! I am listening to your you tubes at work to prepare for my fall semester on this book. I should be taking cost accounting in the spring. Any suggestions on videos or resources? 😊
You are welcome. I am not aware of any cost accounting videos that I could recommend.
These have been so helpful! Thank you!
