Brings back memories. As a junior in high school and just getting my license...I saved from my paper routes and grass cutting jobs to get a 1977 Silver 400 4blr 4 speed just like this. I ended up getting 2 tickets my senior year and my dad made me sell the car. I have missed it since. This is a car I still remember and can't get out of my head. Hopefully retiring this year and have worked my entire life and hopefully I can find a way to buy and build a car like this. Thank You, Glad I found this channel. Big Time Inspiration. Subscribed.
Steve is one of the people who helped create Eleanor 😁! Great designer
This car is aging like Wine. The modern touches make great reliability and safety improvements. I’d love a nice worked LS under the hood for the power that was lacking in 77-78. Other than that I love the build!
beautiful car and one heck of a restomodification.
Thank you so much! Built by the Roadster Shop and I believe, it's available.
Totally impressive n awesome classic color love that transam model ❤❤❤
Absolutely beautiful car. Looks fast sitting still.
That's a bitchin cutLAss nothing but champion looks and sounds 👍 👌
Thank you!!
Almost Guys......missed the gold pen stripe. !!!!LOVE IT!!!
It hasn't been gone long enough for us to feel like we "miss" it. lol. Joking. It's all meant to be, right?
Cleannnnnnnnne!!! Damn!
Thank you! Ya we use Xpress Spray Wax and microfiber cloth. Joking... Many many thanks! Yeah the team did a great job on this one!
very cool, the KITT generations doesn+t get this amount of love or am i wrong?
The wheels and tires are: Front 19x8. 255/30/19 Rear 19x12 325/30/19 Wheels available from MHT
Fantastic car ! Your right there is place certain car builds become art ! Your build is art absolutely beautiful ! I’d love to have that too drive daily ! At least pretty days !
Thank you, Fabien! Great comment. AYCD
What are these wheels called?
Chip Foose
78 grill not 77 grill
yeah, 77 has honeycombs. these are diaganols (forgot the correct name. spade?)
@@BlackStar-ol4hw crosshatch they called it. My mom had a 77 Firebird formula and my buddy had a 78 . Just the grills and interior were changed . I prefer by far the 77 . The interior is so much nicer . The 78 buckets split quickly. Bad design
@@gregbell3559 thanks. but i like the 78's seats, door panels and slightly higher shaker hood, as well as wider rims, more than the 77. The 77 I like the grills better and the gothic decal lettering. true about the seats splitting easier on the 78s, but still like the 78s seats more. Oh, and the T-tops (Fisher) are way better on the 78.
My 73 C-10 came in the same color!
What fools must run gm to let go of Pontiac for Buick what a fckn joke! Idk about that engine color definitely not Pontiac blue I know an love
Beautiful car , not a fan of the wheels and bike tires !!
I'm in love
Yea that's a stolen car there in im the owner of it and trying to get em all back
That’s a bold statement to indicate my car is stolen , last time I looked it’s right here in the shop . Best you come over Jeremiah and you can see for yourself it’s not stolen , 1050 Lake Havasu Ave , Lake Havasu City , we are waiting for you.
May not be the most powerful one, but surely the most stylish.
Happy you like the style 😎
Beautiful, just beautiful.
Thank you!!
This car was ruined......
Something only a 'Karen' would say.
King Troll you sure are
Had a new one . WOW!!
Oh yeah! So awesome!
Where is the bottom front valance from? Looks amazing
Nice!! What size are the rims and tires?
Front 19x8. 255/30/19 Rear 19x12 325/30/19 Available from MHT
'73 was the first year for those 3rd gen Chev & GMC C/K series pickups, 7th gen Suburbans, & 2nd gen K5 Blazers & Jimmys. Besides the regular cab pickups, all of the models were produced up through '91. The regular cab pickups "1/2 tons & 3/4 tons only" were done in '87 & same with the 1 ton regular cab pickups in '89.
Wonder how to find out the wheel and tire size?
Wheel specs???
You put the best small block of the Muscle car era is a 351C according to Hot Rod/Motortrend magazine.
The grill is 78. The 77 was honeycomb. The 78 diamond.
great looking T/A guys.I got a metallic brown 1977 T/A with a 403. Hoping to restore in the next 2 years. Stored for 25 years.
That's BA! AYCD
What’s color code
Should have gone more towards the original ws6 rims. Although the rims are nice but they don't go with the car at all. That is why the car that even bandit and all other serious collectors did , they all put a wider version of the original ws6 rims. Also another thing I noticed is the front of car is higher than the back. The back actually sags down. For the life of me getting the rims wrong and not getting the stance correct. Such a great car but its sad how owners don't give them enough respect to try to keep them more original even with after market upgrades. These trans ams look great lowered better than original but the front needs to be same height as back also the rims ws6 would be perfect instead of rims that look like they should be on a 2015 camaro . some people just try too hard 😆. Long long comment but totally worth it for a classic car
well, it's a resto mod.
Hey there! Fireblast Hot Rods here, we are now the owners of the Zipper Roadster and Vicky Fiberglass models. We have made some amazing improvements to the production process and would love to show you. We are located in Corona, CA.
What size rims
What size tires
why bother asking
My First Car I Drove was a 1977 Firebird Espree it Was so Much Fun & got a Good Deal on it because I Kept an eye on it for Years & went cash in had & asked if They Were Selling it, Got it Running in Their Driveway & Drove it Off, Had to be sold when Moving in 2015 a few years after owning :( NEVER SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT! It was in Amazing Original Condition & a Very Strong Runner. One of My Dream Cars is a Smokey & the Bandit Trans Am that car could have easily been made into.
Great story, and there's always another car in your future, right around the corner when you're ready for it!
Coolest car ever produced IMO.
Hell yeah
Ohhhhh yesssss!
Love hearing Steve's thoughts on design!
Definitely! And Steve loves sharing them. Thanks for watching!
Steve’s the best , very knowledgeable! Thanks for watching Dan !
Wy did they ruin it with da shit rims and tires hmmmmm
What a beauty
Oh yes!!
Thanks David , appreciate you watching !!
I still have my LIMITED EDITION 1978 6.6L but no money to restore
Nice one!! You will get there!
That classic bird with the extra flame is awesome totally original look till you look twice then you see its twice as nice,,,
Ohhhhh yes!
Thanks for watching Ralph Furley ! We appreciate it !!
Don't forget his passenger, super hot gal we all fell in love with. Car and movie was just fun
I don’t get one thing 454 is a 7.4 L How can the 455 be a 6.6 L
🤔
Clever machining !
It's not. 400 is 6.6 liter, they made a mistake. Beautiful cat, but had less desirable 6.6 liter, verses t/a 6.6. I know in 1978 this was a difference of twenty-forty hp...ouch.
@@thebacdoc6464 cool 👍🏻
1:25, your left muffler nearly feld off! Very nice car, just a good exhaust is missing...
Oh yeah for sure! Whoops haha
Beautiful Bird! Love those wheels! I want some for my Trans Am!
Ohhhhh yeah! And thank you @mattgriffin
Does LED halo lights got to go
Anyone know what size the wheels are ... 20’s?
