honestly i think the character design is pretty and I would be happy to see one like it. HOWEVER, it seems damaging that the entire plot of the movie is a variation on snow white's story but about weight, and similar in some ways to hairspray. i personally think there should be plus sized characters in media where their plus-sizedness isn't the focus of the story.
