Do you really need to raise the bike for tightening the chain?
How i get its, please give me information
Thanks chief, had to do this today with my rebel after I found I had three inches of slack in the chain, when the recommended is only one and a quarter inches lol.
What is the size of the wrench on the right side?
Pennsylvania winters are trash. Mostly. I've been riding my e scooter everyday. Haven't been on my bike in a couple months. The sun is out today, close to 40, I'm going riding right now. I still need that gear though.
Are they still going good?
How did you alter your bags? I have similar bags I want to mount to the same bike,,, I don’t have a rear seat. My bags are throw over,,, please tell me what I can do,,,,,
What is the name of the rear shock brand you mentioned? Maybe a link? Thanks for the review. Loved it. 5:23 5:31
It was an Ohlin.
@gromtrooper6189 what is the name of the rear shock you put on this? Maybe a link if possible? Thanks in advance 😊
Bi daily rides are required I'm afraid. If you die, you die. It's not even a young man's game anymore, I think sadly the amount of larger channels that are there doing it now mean there really isn't much point chasing it as a career etc. You'd better. Once a month or meerder will happen :P Fly me in and take any photos you want :P I will absolutely be there asap :) :) I am also very excited!!! You can spoil it. I don't mind :)
Subscribed!! Glad to see you doing more of the things you like. I can't wait to see more.
Two visits from me with the video either lost or not published... I must just be too ugly for UA-cam...? 😛
Looking forward to your photography stuff - Im a bit of a photography nerd myself - so right up my street!
Good to see you focusing in! Looking forward to all the content on the new channel, especially astrophotography :)
Dude you know I will be back down for sure! Gotta eat u know! LOL
101 a bit toasty, that was a super sonic intro!!! You are welcome to make me rich anytime you want......LOL...same here I will ride till I die or just can't stop
Valid point about cheaper to upgrade bike. I find that it's a cheap summer ride for sure.
Are these the large or medium size?
Did you have a problem with the supply hardware? Would like to get it for my Rebel 1100. Please advise.
I have 0 idea if the hardware will work on the 1100. The 300 and 500 use the same frame and body components but the 1100 is a totally new buidout. I would reach out to them to see if they have tested it.
@@Gromtrooper6189 Thanks, will call anyway, but did you have a problem with your Rebel? Using the supplied hardware at all? Please confirm. I have heard other people having issues.
@@my2wheels I had no issues with the hardware on my 500.
@@Gromtrooper6189 Thanks for the rely back.
shoot just found a deal on a ‘14 no DCT for 2500. im a beginner tho. would you say it’s safe for new riders?
For sure! It was marketed at new riders when it came out. Its enough bike to serve you for a while or as a daily but not enough that its going to try to murder you right out the gate. I would snatch ones up at $2500 in an instant!
@@Gromtrooper6189 sweet, i plan on making it my commuter for a while. thanks dude safe riding out there!!
It seems like the viking bags have gotten a lot more expensive lately, I guess like everything else though...
I wish I would’ve known I had to drill holes n stuff before I bought these
Congrats! looking forward to more vids! Would love to see the work you're doing on her.
I'm still upset it's not a 1994 high HP cake mixer. That'd have been really cool. A 1994 having to have emissions done? That seems harsh since emissions when it was built were "yes". That engine bay is so so clean. Put a bed in the back, then it's a camper :P Don't thank me for watching, my eyes were closed.
Thats what you need to do to get your green card, build the most american cake mixer ever out of a small block chevy engine
@@Gromtrooper6189 I'd be ok with that as a condition
Late 90's GSXR would be correct good sir! Not in a million years would I have guessed a hearse. You are right, the engine bay photo looks super clean.
It’s some cool stuff, that car.
These wprl for se 23 with abs?
Cadillac cts V!!
Camera vehicle? Maybe a 94-96 Caprice or Roadmaster? 🤔
Good call on camera vehicle! I got it for hauling photo gear
@@Gromtrooper6189 A B-body is the only LT1 car with suitable storage for equipment like that
This one is a bit unique, but it's a D body and has plenty of storage space.
It's great to finally get out on the bikes again - long gone are my "all year biker" days, I could sure do with some of your weather though 😂 Looking forward to your project vids.
Two when therapy is always good
I saw "poor life choice" and immediately knew this was my kind of video. I'm guessing the project vehicle is either a Camaro or a Firebird.
Same engine as a Camaro from the same era. Very close. I miss my Camaro
I bet you picked up a Grave Digger Monster Truck! Didn't you! 🤣 Crushing the masses just to get to the supermarket.
I should never be allowed to have a monster truck
So the thing is, the locking bolts on both sides also have a torque spec of 15 ft lbs. So someone following this may be opening themselves up to issues of these bolts coming off after awhile. It's difficult without a torque wrench attachment (to a regular wrench) since you won't be able to hold the allen screw still. I don't have an attachment. So I tighten the chain to spec with some give, then tighten the bolt with a wrench like you did, then *finish it off* with with the torque wrench. Measure chain slack afterwards to make sure it still falls within spec
And you thought I wouldn't notice. I have an alarm set. He is a bit ott. But for good videos. I think spending time with him would give me anxiety tho 😂
I just accidentally erased my comment :( Oh well. Those throttle locks do look good, been meaning to try one myself. The cheapy ones look rotten. That version of the doubletake mirrors look nice. Not sure which one to go for myself yet. One of them! Hand guards are actually lovely for wind protection I have to say, I am liking mine. All windscreens suck tho. I need to figure out what to do with mine. When I'm less poor I'm going to get the hepco and Becker alu panniers I think. You are crazy to be fair. Tail tidys look nice but aren't practical. Good suspension upgrades. You are safe for another month :P
For those of us still stuck in a Winter Wonderland enjoy it!
Weirdly you are getting the same temps currently as us - weird as I am 1500 miles further north than you - weather is odd at the moment, but you will soon be back to living in the furnace and we will still be cold and wet!
Fireball shooting floorboards, yes!
Thank you! First person to mention the hex size on the left side of axle 🙏
Have you try to add a passenger seat and keeping the Viking bags?
I have not, and have since removed the bags from my bike. I have heard reports that getting to the passenger pegs isnt doable with these bags on.
@@Gromtrooper6189 Totally understand, thanks!
So is he getting a trike tho? Or a can am? I'm glad you got the CTX tho, great bike :) I am very glad you got new tyres tho :P You did get a great deal on those new shoes too. Cus at the moment prices are nicht gut. There's something to be said for a properly good daily bike isn't there! Carbs are great and all but EFI is more better imo. Doggo!! I am looking forward to more warmth myself also. It's rather cold. I now agree with Dan, that's actually a really smart corporate office 😂😂 Good shape! It's brand new!!! Congrats again amigo :) I stole it from chase on two wheels to be fair :P I can send more!!
I told him he's allowed a trike but not a can am lol. New tires were a must, thank you for your encouragement. Reliable daily bike is a strange feeling for me. The camoflauged corporate office is a good strategy. The stealing continues from one channel to another! I have a few stickers from you still (one on the bike already!) but would never say no to more.
Très cool ! I can’t wait to see more about the CTX and one day maybe see it in person.
You will for sure. I gotta make it out there and ride the PCH too.
10 year old tires eh.....good to see you out riding!
The bags didn't fit my rebel 500 as advertised. They required spacers not provided by the company.
Oh no that's a shame. I bought mine quite a while ago but when I did they came with a variety of spacers. Might be worth reaching out to them.
i may have missed it but what was the temp in this video? Ill be riding in the 30's at night time. Ive rode in 18F during the late morning but the sun was out and it did not feel no where near as cold as 30's at midnight to 1am due to the sun shin. (or im crazy) speed limit is 65mph and i'll be doing that or 10+ for 35ish minutes. i'll be on a 2006 victory jackpot with nothing to block the wind but the gas tank and im trying to figure out if these will be enough on high without a liner or heated grips. this is the same bike i have, make model paint but different pipes and accories on mine to make it look better ua-cam.com/video/guPIkZ5pPHM/v-deo.html
Great video! Thank you.
Through that lens, your shop has basically been an expense only lately, generating no revenue. So just cutting out an expense is an improvement.
Glad you’re taking care of yourself and that this turn is sparking some good things going forward!
Always have to take the hurdles and turn them into opportunities. Saves a ton of mental anguish.
Debt freedom is amazingly liberating. Good luck. Sorry it had to come this way but glad you have a positive from it! Get better!
Number 1 is look after yourself amigo. You've had a lot thrown at you in recent times eh. Still really upsetting to me that you rent somewhere that long and have to just up and get out cus new owners get greedy. I am very glad it's at least working out well for you in a way! Not working a 9-5 is the literal dream. I still have a faint hope one day I can do bike stuff full time. A small glimmer but a glimmer is good :) You'd better look after your health cus we need to ride bikes :P
