    This sounds more like the crime and mob chief of a mega crime syndicate from Bombay ranting with crocodile tears regurgitating from media operating out of Bombay, Ahmedabad, Indore to a bunch of patrons of a teashop in Poolampatty which they already know. You graduated out of IIT-M in 50s(4 years) and you must have written you address several times a day and you did not learn to read, spell, and pronounce ´Tamilnadu’ and you are talking about fake degrees ? At least you should know to spell Maharastra. He din’t have a single word to say about Gujrat and refuse to talk about stealing of entire banks? This rant is highly racist and ethnocentric. I now have started alternative thoughts about Princeton Academics. It is time for universities in the west to cleanse themselves of nepo kids from IITs masquerading as Social Scientists and claw back the wages.

    To be frank, I don't think too highly of India, despite the fact that it's now the most populous nation on the planet. It's still a backward, filthy, corrupt country. Not even Indians want to live there.

    This interviewer is a tool and doesn’t even realize it. He supposes that he is the, or should be the, arbiter of truth for everyone else. In his bubble, the narrative goes that the far right is the biggest propagator of misinformation so he just assumes that to be true. He is 100% sure that anything against the wearing of masks or taking of the mRNA Covid vaccines is necessarily misinformation and thus a problem that must be dealt with. Hopefully, considering the way things have turned out, he’s learned a bit of humility and that he has absolutely no right to determine what “misinformation” is, in general, concerning any political or remotely complicated issue. In fact, if there were an honest and infallible arbiter of truth out there we could suddenly really on, he himself and his podcast would need to be dealt with for pushing “misinformation”.

    We believe, have faith, in order to understand, reason.....in any argument of reasoning, we assume, trust, have faith, something is true in order to proceed in reasoning, otherwise we are lost in a infinite regress trying of providing evidence.

  • @hanskung3278
    @hanskung3278 2 роки тому

    Trust is synonymous with faith, with out trust we couldn't function, you have to trust other people, you have to trust transportation, etc., so faith,trust is the fabric of life.

    'cancel culture' stuff works like this: A tiny group of activists (more like 1% than 10%) bully other people into supporting their cancellation campaign. When I say 'bully' - I mean they apply 'moral blackmail' to force people to join them. People join in the bullying because they don't want to side with: 'climate denial', 'racism', 'homophobia', 'transphobia', 'sexism' & 'The Patriarchy'. Joining a cancellation campaign is a virtue signal. Look at me - I'm not transphobic! - I'm cancelling the transphobe. Consequently, today, identity groups have an excuse and motivation for intolerance. [ see: 'Repressive Tolerance' ] Some people may even join the bullying because they fear they'll become a victim of bullying if they don't participate. PS 1: 'Repressive Tolerance' - invented by Marxian Herbert Marcuse - says we must tolerate Left wing extremism (because lefties are on the 'right side of history'); but one should no-platform right wing beliefs because they are on the 'wrong side'. No-platforming is now more popular among young University graduates than supporting free-speech. In this way, Repressive Tolerance, is a luxury belief for 'liberals', even though it destroys liberal society! BTW: If you think free-speech is more popular than repressive tolerance then try it for yourself : ask your friends to give a principled defence of free speech. Can even ONE single friend of yours give that defence? PS 2: transphobic = gender critical, or anyone who contradicts a trans activist. The relevance of my post should be clear. Luxury beliefs are bullied into us by the application of social stigma. Luxury beliefs are not simply adopted fashion-wise.

    The reason the NYT cared about mail-in ballots in 2012 ... is bc then, they had confidence in a fair election bc they thought Obama was a strong candidate. In 2020, they KNEW they had a senile old COOT who could NOT WIN on a level playing field; and yes, there was widespread fraud, but that cannot be proven without the signature checks that provide the evidence to perform the discovery. And if they'd allow all of that to happen, I'd bet literally my LIFE on it

    1:52:20, Almost, perhaps, every time there's a major controversy, a public dichotomy of ideas about the truth, where normal people are in disagreement with many of their peers and neighbors, and much of society, both sides are right, and both sides are wrong. We need to strive to find our common ground, where we agree, instead of focusing only on where we dissent. @Policy Punchline Podcast, Great show! This is my first time watching.
