I really wanted to love it, but was disappointed.

I’m not going to lie Naples is one of the more dangerous cities and Naples. I would not recommend wandering around certain areas alone at night. Outside of that, it’s like many other places where you just want to be mindful and aware of your surroundings.

It can be a bit confusing, local transportation isn’t the best.

@ceherworld yeah I went last month. I kind of got a hang of the metro and fast train. The only horrible part was the free bus 😩😩😩😩 I've never rode in anything so packeddddd, and ppl just kept getting on.

Hey! I wouldn’t say it was necessarily difficult just took a while and kind of annoying. I can’t remember the name of the website, but there was apart of the process where I had to basically prove myself and my skill set in order to show that I’d be a better candidate for my position as opposed to hiring a local. Once that was approved a letter was generated and I sent that along with my passport and a few other documents to the Italian embassy in my region for my visa. I go into more detail in my moving to Italy adventure vlog. It is a bit lengthy but it covers everything from the documents and requirements for my job. However for you and your career path it may be different.

Unfortunately, from what I’ve learned, they are pretty common here. They don’t typically get out of control, but I do tend to notice them from mid to late summer until maybe early fall. They’re mostly in the rural areas and along the sides of the highway so if you’re staying in the heart of Naples, you shouldn’t experience them.

Thank you so much and yes, I do get my nails and hair done in Naples. As far as hair, I found my options to be limited to just braids. In the past I’ve had to travel outside of Italy for certain styles. Eyre salute e bellezza and Silene beauty suite are my two favorite nail salons.

Hey, yes, I’m actually uploading it this Sunday. Hopefully part two helps with your decision-making. If not be sure to let me know what specific experiences you would like me to speak to, and I’d be more than happy to offer some insight as best as I can. I do strongly suggest familiarizing yourself with common Italian phrases. Prior to moving here I studied Italian via Duolingo religiously for about three months. I did learn common phrases and greetings outside of that, though upon moving here, I realized that the Napolitan dialect does differ from the standard Italian teachings that Duolingo offers. I will admit the little bit of Italian that I do speak has tremendously helped in my experience in living here. It could definitely be better, and I do strongly believe that if I was more fluent in the language, it would heavily impact my experience. The locals do appreciate the effort that you put in by just learning the common phrases. No one‘s ever scolded me for not being fluent and I’m able to get by in most situations utilizing Google Translate. Also many of the people that I have encountered have studied English in school as a second language, they may not necessarily be fluent in it, but ultimately were usually able to understand each other in one way or another. Lol I hope this helps. There are definitely a lot of American expats here, I ended up dating another expat. There are a lot of opportunities to date here though and in my experience, the locals appreciate you appreciating their culture and want to learn about you and your culture as well, and will typically show you hidden gems within and around Naples.

Of course I would definitely start learning Italian before I came there. Do you prefer Naples or Rome for actual living. I looked at Rome as well but I wasn’t sure which would be better. How do you feel the vibes are different between Rome and Naples?

Hey Lawrence, I had an amazing time in Napa Valley I would go again and again for sure! My favorite wine overall from the experience was the Merlot. My personal blend consisted of Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon. However it’s really hard to choose a favorite spot because everyone offered such a different and unique experience but if I had to choose one, I would probably say Meadowcroft Wines. The staff were amazing in the experience was definitely one of a kind.

Hey MoonPrismPurrr! Solo traveling as a woman can definitely be scary at times no matter where you go. My best practices are to typically try to book guided tours and or activities that will ensure that I’m not in secluded places by myself. Don’t get me wrong I do still adventure out alone and explore places off the beaten path but while doing so I always make sure I don’t go out late at night and typically try not to stray too far away from my hotel/accommodations if I’m venturing out on foot.
