No problem! There is a correct way to match the airflow. If you look on the one you remove there is usually an arrow on the side showing the way of air flow. Just simply copy this orientation to the arrow on your new one when installing.

This one has only done just over 60,000miles. You wouldn’t believe it from looking underneath it. 😅 We always say you are better off buying a higher mileage car with lots of history than a low mileage car with one stamp in the book.

I am in shock! This exact car was on my shortlist when I was shopping for a 997 turbo. I even called the seller for a part exchange valuation on my 997 Carrera S. Thank God he didn't return my call with the valuation. I reckon I dodged a bullet!

@ we certainly saved you some hassle 😁 this is the exact reason we do this kind of thing. Anything you are considering buying it’s worth getting it checked out to avoid any hidden surprises/costs. It’s no problem to buy a car like this as all of this could be put right, but only when the price reflects the issues!

@SportsVehiclePerformance That would've definitely have saved me a few grand of work to correct all those issues. If I went to see it, I would've definitely spotted a lot of those issues. I do a fair bit of work on my cars and when I picked up my 997 turbo, the seller thought I was doing a PPI for someone else. I owned a 997 Carrera S for 10 years, so had a little experience in the cars and the common failure points shared accross the range. Were you doing a PPI for a potential customer on this car?

Great! They certainly aren’t an easy job 👍🏼 fortunately we’ve done plenty over the years and have all the right equipment which makes it a lot more manageable. 😎

So it's a JCW head, The inlet dividers and throats with light porting and then port main body enlarged further but kept the basis of the jcw. Guides are super tech . Inlets are brand new stock but re shaped. Exhaust valves are super tech stock size and finally the seats are three angle. Be sure to check out the other episodes for more info!

While skimming the flywheel is ideal in some cases, it’s not always necessary or feasible, especially when working within a customer’s budget and specific requirements. A good mechanic knows how to assess the situation and make practical decisions rather than defaulting to unnecessary work.

Hi there The cost of this depends on lots a lot of variables, e.g any pre existing corrosion that needs repairing and how much. Then how far you want to go with cleaning up and replacing components, new bushes, re zinc plating the bolts , RS diff or keep the AYC etc. If interested then get in touch with your requirements and we can provide an estimate 👍🏼

All depends what the problem is, some of it yes- however a lot is fairly accessible with it still in the car 👍🏼

@@KoolDesign I was recently chatting to the mechanic who worked on my A110s and he told me he'd rather work on the Mégane RS engine in the back of the alpine than in the Megane as there is surprisingly more room to get your hands in .

@@SportsVehiclePerformance Cheers . I look forward to that one .... I did look in mine but didn't want to start pulling the plastic panel off for fear of braking lugs . Trouble is being an Auto there is no way of starting it if it gets flat as unlike a manual you can't push it 😕
