Its true. Especially for extreme people pleasers like me. I was acting out in fear of rejection, abandonment, neglect, abuse. Figuring if they like me bad things get avoided. It never works. I never got people’s respect. Then everything changed for the best when I heard Jordan Peterson say, “telling only the truth every time leads you to your ultimate best life”. (And along with tons of subconscious fear release work…) I gently told someone no yesterday like I wanted. It got immediate rocky results, which Jordan warned, but totally took a 180 turn in just 24 hours! Plus, I was sure to hold the faith, kindness and politeness waiting for the goodness to arrive! I’m stoked! I’m gonna keep testing this 100% truth theory!
