Correct breaker...Wrong use!

Correct Breaker....Wrong Use! A Double-Tapped circuit breaker is one that has two conductors (wires) attached to it when it's only intended for one. This can lead to poor connections, high resistance, fire hazards, etc! In this panel, you'll see that it had circuit breakers installed that allow for the use of two wires, but still managed to Double-Tap them!! 🤷‍♂️ Remember to always get a #homei...

At a continuing education class somebody asked if s #10 & a #14 guage wire can be installed on a Square D 15 amp circuit breaker. Indtructor was not sure. Even with the screw being between the two entry points on plate the plate would be cocked possibly creating less tendion on one of the conductors.

One of the very few home inspector video's where the inspector was actually knowledgeable. Most YT inspectors would say that you can't double tap a breaker because they simply don't know, lack knowledge and training. I never understood why anyone would double tap when there is space available in the panel and a standard single pole breaker costs less than $10.00

Those are double pole 220/240 volt breakers. In this case the Black and White wire will go to separate poles on the same breaker. It is not wired wrong, or using the wrong color. There are simply too many wires under the connector.

@@c.blakerockhart1128 white is not an approved ungrounded conductor color where im from. Needs to be phase taped red

@@JeffPenaify In the UNITED STATES we have 110 volt and 220 volt household circuits. In a 220 volt circuit the White is one leg and the Black is the other leg and the ground is "Usually" uncoated or bare. On a 110 volt circuit the BLACK wire is hot and the White wire is NEUTRAL and the ground is bare. In the U.S. it is not properly installed if the HOT wire is White. Here (U.S.A.) when you look at the back of a receptacle it will say White wire on one side and it will say "HOT" on the other side. And the grounding screw is Green.

It looks like it previously kicked in to break into the Home already. I state this as the point the door opens to let us see the Side of the Door or the Profile View, you can clearly see that the Frame is cracked leaving the wood separated that I can suggest this was caused by someone who had either used his weight to push open the door & damaging the frame to gain the access to the Home contents. Or the person just used their foot to to kick open the door and busting the Frame of the door....

Actually there's cheap tools you can buy online that would work for this. What actually prevents someone from slipping a latch like that is what's called a dead latch, and requires proper door fitment and the correct plates to be installed on the door frame. I'd suggest doing more research before making assumptions.
