So I did my CBT in August. (im 30 btw) got a 2017 GSXR-125 to learn to ride better. I really really don't want something stupidly loud just something that sounds a little deeper. There is a second hand Yoshi near me for cheap and I'm wondering if it's worth while doing it without making it full ASBO. Full DAS will be done next year, so don't know if It's worth spending money on it. What's your thoughts?

Great bike although I hated the fob start thing very annoying and drains battery over time ……… as for top speed with a red scorpo and k n filter I achieved 96mph ( all about how you run the bike in from buying new ) …… riding wise your spot on it is aggressive postion hard on the back I also had the shad rack and panniers and 48l top box and did a 300 mile road trip in a day on it it will keep going ! I’ve had x2 yzf (14,19 plate ) and Yamaha xsr 125 , pcx , cbf , x2 cbr , 💩 lexmoto, all brand new and the gsxr was fastest ! But yzf was all round a classier and nicer bike top speed 90mph but handles like a dream very forgiving ! my gsxr was also unreliable hence traded it in front brake coming in by its self at 50-60mph had to disconnect the front calliper , it locked me out few times and had f1 code on dash gearbox broke gears 2,3 gone , clutch semi slipping , ……… I had what you call a Friday afternoon bike guys in factory slappped it togather on a Friday and said yea that’ll do now let’s get out of work go pub ….. I had a bad one And I’m not a beginner rider still on l-plates however been riding 13years legally in road and off road and quads , dirt bikes 29yrs I should do my test but I’m now a car driver so can’t be arsed haha 😂 just thought the gsxr lacked in certain aspects compared to yzf but again there is £700-800 difference between them yzf 2023 you now get slipper clutch and can option for quick shifter , it also has Bluetooth and traction control , upside down forks , and brembo callipers , so fair bit of kit more !!! I love little bikes these days better then what I had as youngster dodged two strokes and Honda cg were the only choice haha 😂

IV the 2022 mt had it doing 85 before down a hill with wind behind me lol kinda struggles over 70 the dealer told me the rs are faster because of the fairings

Good vid but SO important to have these flashed/tuned properly when you decat and add an exhaust. Believe it or not they actually often LOSE power if you just haphazardly yank off the catalytic converter and put a pipe on it. These things run way, way too lean down low, adding a pipe without flashing only accentuates this. Yes, I would HIGHLY recommend that flash, your mpg will then go from abysmal to absolutely atrocious😂. Sorry, just the price of admission for that beautiful cp4!
