Any nice bass recipes to share ?
Nice to see honest youtubers keeping some for the pot and saying so ( nothing wrong with that ) and not pretending they all go back. Useful technical info. Cheers guys.
HI there .we only keep one or 2 when Bassing .personally im not much of a fish eater ,although my mate is partial to one or 2 fish.Thank u for your support to our channel glad u found the info Useful.tight lines .
Cracking days fishing boys some really nice rays and stunning conditions. Nice eel too. Well done both look forward to the next one
@boatfishingscottyano Thanks Lee. Where was that weather 😕 all summer .tight lines for scottyano next adventure.
Some cracking fish coming to the boat first day of your winter season, you have two brilliant places to fish, thanks for sharing
Thanks Brian. I sometimes wonder if we know how lucky we all are .thankfully we had some decent weather this autumn to allow us opportunity to target the big blonde Ray fishing on offer before the frosts take them .thanks for your support mate .tight lines
Well done lads, away in style!! What a beautiful day you had for it too. Don’t think I’ve ever seen the water so clear at Sully!! Take care all 😊👊🏻👍👍
thanks mate.water clarity was quite good for that area ,probably due to the lack of rain last few weeks.
What a start to your Winter season. Cracking day, well done.
THANKS .was a nice day out there ,calm seas and plenty of blonde ray .
Nice one Boyos! cracking session there lads
Thanks casters .yes was a good day out there .Great to have some good weather thus time of year. Absolutely tipped down with rain 🌧 last year .tight lines casters
Great video guys, some lovely bass there ❤
Thanks mate .you been having some nice fish down south matt .hopefully come down and have a day aboard silver halo in the not to distant future .
@toadfishuksportangling2690 its been fishing well here, not done many wrecking trips due to all the tuna bookings but when we've gone its been great. Be lovely to take you both out, got a couple of dates left in Dec or it'll be next March on the big pollock
Fabulous guys
Thanks for your comment. Catch u out there soon .
Looks like a Sidewinder Skerries Sandeel 6in Pearl. My first choice out the bag when targeting bass inshore
@oscarzehr thanks .the skerries is a great lure .my mate threw the packaging away from the lures that's why I couldn't remember the colour .
Always good to see you out on the water great video shame about the rod, that’s fishing.
@Brian-mb9ez Thanks Brian. Tight lines mate
Great content Rob , nice to see C&R adopted on the 8lber 👌a man after my own heart
Thanks Jason. Yes we like to return most of what we catch .I like releasing them as much as catching them .tight lines mate
Great session guys
Thanks Mike. We were lucky to get an opportunity for one last go out there .apart from losing my best settup it payed off .lol.thanks for watching.
Thanks .glad u enjoyed.
Great vid and thanks for sharing. I’m based in Burry Port and have only recently bought another boat after being high and dry for over 30yrs since my last one due to living and working away. I and a mate have just recently bought a 6.5 Ribcraft with a Yam F150 on the back for adventures and a bit of fishing. Back in the 90’s we used to use bubble floats drifting Whitford lighthouse for Bass using Joeys which was very productive at times. Hope to see you next year once we’ve sorted “Ribbed for pleasure” for the water if all goes well.😁👍
Thanks for your comment . will keep an eye out for "Ribbed for pleasure. Best of luck with the new boat.
Awesome video again and what a clonker of a bass well done. You had a cracking session on the bass again. Gutted about the rod going over. Thanks for sharing the video’s really enjoy them. Hopefully you will have a good winter fishing up the channel. Keep up the great work Rob and Lindsey👏👏
Cheers Lee. Yes we have had some productive trips in between the weeks of poor weather .absolutely tamping with myself over that rod dissappearing over the side so fast .thought about going over after it .maybe 10 years ago .lol. tight lines on the next adventure aboard scottyano.
@ Haha it’s horrible a hound took mine once but Ian caught it about half hour later lol
Hard to see that skerries properly but they do a colour called Wakasagi that looks similar
Thank u I will look that up now .my mate lindsay bought some and threw the package away .
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 I thought it might be chartreuse,so googled it and Wakasagi came up 👍
Good videos all year you fished my favourite spot the dangers
Thank u for your support mate .yes can be a good fish producing area in the right day .tight lines out there .
Out with a bang lads, what a stunning silver bar! That must have been the worse feeling having a rod go over, I did feel for you. Looking forward to your adventures out of Penarth, fingers crossed for a lunker cod for you🤞👊🏻 take care all😎👍👍
Thanks Lincoln. This year has absolutely flown by .let's hope this autumn winter is dryer than last years soaking .tight lines on your next adventure. Thanks for your support.
Awesome day boyos! gutted about the rod Rob lucky chrimbos coming lol! well in lads, and Lynds had a few too lol!
@castersfishingwales2038 Thanks 😊 casters .my own fault for not putting rod in one of many holders on toadfish .thought about diving for it but was gone so quick .
Great session, boys. Bummer losing the gear. Cheers and tight lines.
@Nicknofish Thanks mate .yes absolutely tamping with myself for leaving that rod against the gunnels instead of in the holder where it should have been .my own fault
Good video, looked a fun day on the bass
Thanks mate .yes was a good session out there .
Excellent Rob some cracking bass caught nice to show the float rig set up too great stuff. Well done both
@boatfishingscottyano Thanks Lee. Yes the float rig can produce some good fishing on the right day .where has this year gone absolutely flying.
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 it’s bonkers Rob. I’m out in the morning to see if the bream are still here. Didn’t get a chance to go down west wales this year it’s flown by
@boatfishingscottyano yes it's a shame you didn't get down west .all our summer road trips this year were smashed by constant bad weather at the weekend. Let's hope next year gives us a few opportunities. It's not much to ask for realy is it .lol
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 Haha not much to ask no. Always next year mate
Nice one boy's. Some nice bass there. Cheers and tight lines.
Thanks .glad you enjoyed the video .Tight lines mate .
Brilliant gents, would never have thought of using a float with livebait, great insight. Lots of beautiful fish again, and a cheeky dog! 😂 take care all 😎👍👍
Thanks Lincoln. Yes the live bait under float can be verry effective. Thanks for your support .tight lines out on the beach.
Nice one Rob buddy! well Lynds, I was trying to keep count off the score, but thing he smashed you on that one buddy lol! cracking vid as always Boys
Thanks casters. Absolutely 💯 smashed him lol.in lindsays defence I lost 8 good clips of his fish .that camera driving me up the wall .seems to overheat om 4k setting and turn itself off when ever it wants .
Proper gower bass fishing 🎣
Thanks josh .glad you enjoyed the video .Tight lines from us aboard Toadfish.
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 I see the boat everyweekend I got caravan in highfields on the boys said you got a UA-cam channel! 🎣
Good set of boys in Highfields .gower is a fantastic place for sea angling .just wish we had more opportunities to get out there on the fish. Weather this year has been poor .
Just loved those screaming reels. Great video thanks for sharing. Greetz from a jealous Stipo from Holland
@stipojovic5830 glad you enjoyed the video. Thank u for your support from Holland
Great day aboard the Toadfish and did enjoy the strawberries.
@@JaimieChick everything came together that day .weather and the fish . Let's hope the weather improves for us this September.
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 finger crossed🤞🤞
Cracking video Guys!
Thanks jaimie glad you enjoyed 😉 😊 😀 our video
Nice one lads, always love to see the rods hooped over 😎👊🏻👍👍
Thanks 👍

Chick was legend of his own from gaj
Thank you. He certainly was mate .
Excellent stuff. Greetings from N Devon
@ianblewett3118 Thank u .glad u enjoyed the video .cheers for the support from North Devon. Absolutely stunning 😍 coastline.
Cracking video guys. You worked hard for the tope well done finding them. The fresh mackerel seems the key to them. Stunning day out there. Must have dropped the anchor by mumbles head😂😂😂
@boatfishingscottyano Thanks Lee. Yes it's been a strange 🤔 few seasons on our usual hot spots .we managed a few in the end .yes fresh bait is always best. Looking forward to your next adventure on scottyano.
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 Cheers Rob. I had the week off but weather says no lol. Still trying to get down west hopefully will manage it soon. Tight lines on the toadsfish 👍
@boatfishingscottyano hard work finding these weather windows .let's hope for some settled weather soon. Plenty to go at out there given the chance .
@@boatfishingscottyano sure felt like it 🤣
@@LindsayFProbert haha I bet
That was amazing guys, fair play on such light tackle & the weather was certainly in your favour. Take care all 😎👊🏻👍👍
@fishdisco3107 Thanks Lincoln. Yes a nice day makes all the difference out there .the runs of tope have changed dramatically last 3 years around gower .our usual hot spots are barren and they seem to be ubundant elsewhere for some reason 🤔. Tight lines on your next adventure.
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 well it was great to see you get a couple in at least, let’s hope they come back next year…take care all 😎😊👍👍
2 - 1 to Lynd's and biggest fish👍 that's why he made you pull anchor 🤣🤣 Nice one Rob buddy great vid 😉
Math notch me up on score board I know your keeping count 🤣
@@LindsayFProbert Will do brother 😂😘
@castersfishingwales2038 biggest fish eh. Made a meal out of pulling it in more like .lol.
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 Na you was milking it calling it tide you only had a minnow lol
No disrespect intended but to get the very best chance to catch cod in that water we always caught well using a 5lb box of squid between 2 of us and a minimum of 6lb of BLACK LIVE LUG.... with a couple dozen of Devon peeler.. EACH..😮 Extreme ?? Maybe but 20 yrs ago we were out of penarth on board where 2 kent lads... they had over 10lb of lug and a big box of squid.... Their baits were over TWELVE INCHES LONG with 3 6/0 hooks. They emptied the channel... the rest of us struggled like hell. Think i had 1 my m8 had 2.....!!!!!! Now bearing in mind the cost of travel your place on the boat, food etc it's madness to skimp on the bait.. I've seen anglers put 2 or 3 worm slice of squid, sit on it for an hour and are surprised when they catch very little if anything.... That'll get washed out in 15 especially on a big spring... Don't get me wrong I'm not rich but would far sooner afford 3 good trips a winter than say half a dozen.. worst day we ever had was 6 cod... Ok we've not been for 5 or 6 years but going again this year to try it... Great video buddy
sorry only now this comment has come up on my analytics /not on the usual comments section.we used to by tons of lugworm ourselves back a few years ago to good success .the last few years ,sadly the cod have dropped off in numbers big time.with the increasing costs of worm and lack of it due to constant rain ,preventing diggers finding it .we target a variety of species these days with various baits ,to ensure a good days sport .thank u for your comment .tight lines
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 that is very sad to hear god we couldn't get enough of the Welsh boat fishing back in the late 80s and 90s. We even skipped of work on goid weather days...lol.. Its a sad indictment of the world today we really have messed up our environment.. But will tell you a little story that might make you raise your eyebrows.. Back in the 80s 90s we used to dig rag worm at wains Hill/ and black rock off clevedon ( being Bristol boys) We didn't have to go too far. Well anyway back then the Harry Brown was an old boat that dumped raw sewage out into the shipping lane at low tide. She did it for decades. That's why you'll remember having allsorts of crap on our lines when we wound in from bloody old tampax / sanitary pads etc.. Anyway the lug worm and rag we dug were like anaconda out the bloody jungle Rag 14" long thick as a Havana cigar Blow lug BIGGER than the black lug dug today.. Now here's the funny bit, when the Harry brown stopped dumping sewage in the channel the worm size decreased massively AND in numbers too... Now this also coincided with the cod starting to thin out too... A coincidence ??? I very much doubt it.. By stopping the dumping ( I.e feeding) the marine life they destroyed the balance.. We ALL ATE the fish in 80s I was in my 20s I'm 65 now and still going strong.. and ate tons of catch we caught... The worms filtered all the crap out and the environment did just fine... Still just thought you might be interested in that little story. Take care tight lines buddy..
@@toadfishuksportangling2690 You got me thinking quick one I had a m8 in 80s/90s was a navel man very experienced sailor been all over the world. He reckoned the Bristol channel mid stream at a massive spring was in his opinion one of the very worst place to be in a small vessel... Anyway like us he was a massive angler shore/ boat . Well we had the idea one day of the following.. Bloody stupid thinking of it now.. At the Avonmouth scale of 15.0 m high water 0.0 low water we decided to go out and have a look at the sand bars mid channel. No doubt you lads can see them like we can. I'd always wondered if there was any worm on them.... we head out 5 of his in his ex RNLI Rib 10 mins we were there.. From the shore it was as calm as hell BUT once there it was very lumpy . (From tide pushing up the sandbanks).. But at dead slack water it calmed right down. Now I ( young n daft) fancied getting out on the banks which are huge I might add. But my m8 held me back he reckoned as the banks moved about due to the tide they could be liquid sand.. So cautiously we pull alongside and leaned over but the sand was hard ... Kevin our m8 who was the lightest got out but stayed close incase he got into trouble, but was OK. So we handled him a spade and got him to dig.... Holy hell it was a investion of Lug on that bank. Only 18" down I kid you not in 5 mins he'd dug 2lb of perfect big fat worm.. Well we were getting excited but our salor m8 made him get back in as the tide was just turning.. and you know like me you don't take the piss in the channel... Well we got back following day we dug some rag and following day we hit Chesil hoping for plaice.. Boy we had our best ever day on the flatties.. Sadly we never did go back out mid channel... our buddy reckoned it was far too dangerous. We were gutted but of course he was quite right. Looking back now I guess we were a bit reckless had our buddy not been so experienced I wouldn't have bothered... But at least we found out those banks are stuffed with 🪱 lol...
@@djsimonrossprice9400 yes ive always suspected that once they stopped all the sewerage going into the bristol channel, all the crabs and worms that were feeding on it started to dissappear .back then you never saw a blonde ray on the marks off sully/barry area .they are plentiful nowadays due to the changing sea bed .
How do the tractor service work
The tractors are all individually owned at the boat club. Most of the members have their own tractors to launch boats.thanks

well done lads ,the best bass fishing video ive seen for yonks.
Thank u .glad you have enjoyed the video .appreciate your support .Tight lines .
Do you ever take fish back to the old folks home to give them free fresh fish, I am quite sure the old people would love gesture.
We sometimes give them away but we are mostly a catch and release boat when ever we can put fish back .I'm not realy a table fish sort of angler tbh .with the bass ban only allowing a few to be kept anyway its hardly worth bringing them in .thanks for your comment.
Well done Rob matey 👊🏻😎👍👍
