Thanks for this, my favorite version (on UA-cam) which has an extended intro is by Jefferson Starship live at Winterland in 1975. Sadly the sound quality isnt too good and Grace is well...uh....not quite all there for the performance.

It's ok. I liked the original because it slowly builds up and gets louder until the grand finale. I feel like extending and repeating the grand finale just kind of ruins it. It would've been better to extend the slower parts and build up.

There is another extended version I used to listen to in the 80’s. This is not as good. It is made for about 10-20 minutes not 2 min.

I have never understood why Jefferson didn't 'pad it out' with an extended version.The Great Society's version with Grace lasts about 6 minis. This is good,but could be easily doubled in time & slip in a sample from the Great Society next time;-) ?
