@@Organic-Interiors yeah, the high pressure fuel pump that connects to the side of the cam shaft, one of the shafts inside, on the outside of the pump that sucks the fuel, snapped. Bought a second hand from a civic and works perfectly
Well we really need a follow up, was drive shaft broke? was the fuel pump fubar? did it get fixed and is it now up and running?. I’m quite keen to know as I have a black 06 Mk2 feels like I’m looking at mine
makes no sense you said you took the fuel pump out and then you turn the levelers but you did not explain what was wrong with it? and why was it working?
He did explain clearly he moved the pump drive freely without turning the engine over so camshaft or drive has snapped i think thats about as clear as it can be really q
@@hemtet5500 no, same thing happend to my 08 crv, it was the bolt that holds the gear on the end of the camshaft that snapped, changed the bolt and good to go.

It's a common rail system or high pressure pump. Something like that

Had someone put petrol instead of diesel and siezed the pump. Causing the drive to snap

Camshaft drive for the pump had actually come lose retightened and yes this solved the issue

@@leeboardman8040 ah ha so was that it, if you can freely move those lugs the camshaft has snapped?

Any one know how to remove the turbo relatively easily from this model? It's a right pain so far due to poor access. Any help much appreciated. 👍
Did this flash a Glow Plug Light ?
Did it start after replacing the high pressure pump?
