Star Citizen: Birth of a DREAMER
This was basically my first time playing the game (been watching for years) so I really wanted to capture the confusion of flying and seeing this game for the first time genuinely.
If you enjoyed subscribe I would LOVE to create more stuff like this and even collab as I play alone, making it hard to create cool narrative stories.
Thank you all for checking this out and if you are interested... check out my other channel @captaininc.7568

Got a capture card and my face is beautiful
awesome solution man, thanks
I was thinking about something like this, but instead of mounting it under the seat, I'll put it just under the soft part of elbow rests. I'm still thinking how to make them fold away, because I use the same chair for work.
brother, you are a fuckin legend! i can't wait to make this too. thanks! :) i used to play on a table and it always felt off with the raised elevation.
Much love glad a few people actually like the simple idea ❤️
brilliant idea ..well done
I’m building mine today for SC dual vkb’s. I’m a carpenter so I got all tools and material. Yeye
Very cool, i'm interested in how it's held up after a year? Considering doing this with repurposed pallet wood.
Genius. You ever get the gladiator? Should be getting mine this upcoming week. I picked up the x56 first and it didn’t feel to bad either but didn’t work so returned it and went with the kgb
Just ordered mine went with the Omni throttle for my left hand you enjoying em?
How is it holding up a year later?
Still solid. I haven't been on my space grind for a bit though. After playing Star Citizen I wish I would have full sent a dual stick setup for combat.
Amazing opener! Enjoyed the video dood
Thank you sir I spent way too much time on it for my own good lol. Glad you enjoyed
Bright Sentinel lol
BTW I did a similar thing, ordered a HOSAS from VKB and a X56 for testing and ended up keeping the X56 throttle in addition to the 2 Gladiators.
What's your HOSASAT keybinds?
I was considering doing something like this but it requires tools, patience, time and a compatible chair. And it would trigger my OCD and perfectionism so hard.... 😄
Yeh i feel this. I debated even posting this video when I made this little mount cause I thought it was kinda garbage and could be sooooo much more cool after I started editing my video and thinkin bout how I coulda done it better but everyone’s been super great in the comments which made it worth showing it. I have a video I’m editing rn which is gonna be a whole built chair with mounts for racing and flight sim that’ll be interesting 🧐
@@CaptainVB update 👀?
@@electropika7759 I’ll cook a video up on the full setup. I got you
you can do better. I saw the tools in the shop.
Oh I know I know I should step up my game and do a v.2 huh 🤔
The logitech, which is just their branding on the saitek, with a few modern/flashy touches is not terrible for it's bracket, but is a bit over priced for what you get. especially since it's all contact pots, and the mouse sticks suck ass. Granted, I've only had minimal contact with the newer models that others owned, but had the original saitek x45 eons ago. The thrustmaster t16m, imo is better, but still has it's flaws. the next step up is the vkb. It's not /cheap/, but it's also not cheaply made. It's designed to fit in a budget, giving you as many controls at fingertip as possible without having to take your hands off the stick. The next step up is 2-3x the price of the vkb/logitech.
Very nice! I might do the same...Thanks for showing us!
Thanks no problem. Only issue I’ve ran into is stabbing my leg on the corners of wood platforms when getting up and sitting down sometimes fyi 😂. Just threw something together quick that anyone can do figured it was something to share.
Dope build! If you wanna make it even more customizable you can add a swivel joint at the point of contact to the chair where its screwed in so that you can swivel the entire assembly to the sides when not in use and use some locking mechanism to keep them there, this way you can still use your armrests
Yeh I should really do something like this. I ran into the stick and throttle getting in the way so I ended up using some hardcore Velcro instead of bolts so I can just pull them off. The platforms fit under any desk I’ve used and then my arm rests extend up so that works for me but depending on your desk the swivel would be ideal and clean.
Thank you for sharing the Star Citizen love, too many people want to divide the community
Oh yeh. I’ve actually completely gone star citizen mode lately it’s just insanely immersive. I didn’t have gameplay of star citizen for this video at the time or I would have thrown that in too. Space games in general >
your a fUKIN genius! I'm not paying 400 for the monster tech I'm doing this! LEGEND!!
ua-cam.com/video/H0TB3PvT-IA/v-deo.html this is what i did. that way its more cleaner and just pull it out when you need it and when dint just store it awayv
Oooo I like this
@@CaptainVB tell your friends about me
Funnily enough I have the g29 and x52pro as well. I haven't mounted to my chair though. Thanks for the video. I am comparing various setups and decide what I am going to do
My curiosity about the HOTAS you chose is the longevity. Will that stick/throttle combo hold up over time as you use it? When I researched that setup I found the biggest complaint was that the stick tends to wear out after a few months of use. Nice setup with the chair. I am going to do something similar. Also, have you seen Thenoobifier1337’s setup using monster tech MTS? <-- life goals lol
So far no issues but I wouldn't say I am a religious user as in I don't rip the setup around and put too many hours on it. I play Star Citizen now and only touch the hotas in flight. I can see the complaints on the build quality. If I were more into the whole hotas scene I would go with the gladiator nxt or whatever it is and pair it with a standalone throttle. Imma check out that setup now tho cause im curious lol
@@CaptainVB Hey, thanks for getting back. I am definitely interested in the whole hotas conversation. I own SC but haven’t been able to play it just yet due to my current pc setup.
@@jeremiah6462 if imma be 100% honest the Hotas makes learning the game a bit harder just cause learning how to do all the macros and using software to set it all up can be a pain in the ass if ur new to hotas and the game at the same time but if you can easily get to ur keyboard while using ur hotas it’s a game changer totally worth it. Unless u get a throttle with a good amount of buttons then no need for a keyboard. Also I went with the stick and throttle but after using it I think a stick and stick setup is supreme for games like star citizen so much better control and honestly more comfortable. Just feels cool using a throttle that’s why I went for it. No problem btw this is sort of a side channel for fun content so glad to jump on and give feedback.
@@CaptainVB Super awesome info man. Really appreciate it. I was thinking the dual sticks was also the best way to go.
Just before you get a monstertech mounting system, keep in mind that thier mounting systems are just made of aluminum t slot extrusions. If you're willing to put in a little bit of effort you can buy t-slot extrusions and ancillary hardware and put a cockpit together for around 1/4-1/3 the cost of a monstertech system.
Well done. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank ya sir hope it helped
