what i learnt after i stopped CONSUMING and started CREATING
do you think that architecture is better than electrical engineering?
Definitely not! Both professions are equally important to society, I work with electrical engineers everyday and they play an integral part in making a building function, depends on what you're interested in :)
I am a mechanical engineering student thinking about swapping majors or getting a minor, would it be worth it for me to get the full bachelor's? Or is an associates enough to start?
Hmm...it really depends on the school's degree outline as they are all different. It is also important to know what you would want to focus on career wise in the long run, just check to make sure that whatever you're going to pursue enbales you to be registered as an architect!
Great video, straight facts
Thanks for watching - means the world!
HI! I'm a high school sophomore in the U.S., and this is my second year studying architecture as I want to do it all four years and do masters in colllege. We have great opportunities here, with specific course classes and access to software like Blender, Revit, and AutoCAD. I'm really passionate about becoming an architect, though I'm not sure which specific field I want to pursue yet, as there are many options. My main concern is the salary. I initially thought architects made a lot of money, but I'm not sure how much it really depends on factors like college choice or the company you work for. I'd love to hear more about the pay scale in architecture.
Hey Tanvi, definitely on the same boat here! (We were never told the actual salaries of architects 🥲) If you are passionate about it - that will bring you a long way, as so many of my friends that have finished archi school are either not enjoying it or have completely given up on it and pursued other career paths. Keep your horizons open, as I've mentioned in the video - the skills you learnt can open doors you never expected. Hope you keep me in the loop of your architectural journey, cheering you on!
But yes, definitely have a video in the works talking about salaries!
oh man. been really thinking about same thing as well! Not using Instagram for business for anything, but getting very distracted for just creating even short form content for Instagram. It somehow really takes away the meaning of creating itself.
Yes, the distractions are EVERYWHERE, and the constant subconcious comparisons! On UA-cam I feel so much peace and am always educated and learning from others, definitely my preferred platform!
In india bachelor's in architecture is of 5 YEARS!! 😢
That is crazy! Do you still need to do your Masters to be considered for architectural registration?
@@justjusjusno u don’t need to do masters, after graduating from college you can directly apply for license, you don’t need work experience for the license.
@@Vignesh-o6z great to know - thanks for sharing!
The best thing to clear acne is apple cider vinegar. Get some cotton wool or a clean cotton face towel and wet slightly with warm water and then add a splash of apple cider vinegar. Wipe over your face twice a day morning and night. Apple cider vineagar has fruit acids and balances skin pH.
You might have reached your allergen threshold. Reduce allergens by cutting out preservatives, and synthetic products in the house. Like synthetic fragrances and petroleum based cleaning products are allergen loading.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS, will give it a try! Would you say skincare like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide has an equivalent effect to ACV? Only because I've tried them and they actually make my skin flare up even more 🥲
Hey! GREAT CONTENT. coming from a student video editor (me), I love it. And also i'm interested in architecture in India.. so if you can talk about that it would be REALLY HELPFUL! thanks for the advice though :)
Heyya thank you so much for taking time to watch! Unfortunately, I personally do not have any experience with architecture in India (would love to visit one day!) But all I can say is always work smart, and not TOO hard! Don't burn yourself out.
Bro changed his haircut mid video hahah, love the content
had to switch it up in case you get bored haha, thanks for watching!
Exciting news!! Loving the designs as well 🌟
Super excited!!!! Just lots to do 😅
What do y'all think of the new designs? Keen to hear your thoughts below 👇 I am generally quite proud - and excited for the people at the design market to see them for the first time!!!
Love it! ❤
I'm a 3rd yr student, got advanced entry due to interior design and arch tech degrees. Bad mistake because I missed 1st and 2nd year meaning I didn't have the fundamentals so I'm struggling. But it's true, plan ahead, its really intensive, late nights, and nasty tutors. Take care and prepare ahead if you wanna study it.
You're so close to finishing your Bachelors, congrats! How are you finding the course overall? Do you plan to further your studies into Masters?
@@justjusjus overall it's ok, I would say the teaching is very general teaching, even the 1 to 1 tutoring is vague as well. The communication part is the worst, I'm unable to understand what tutors mean or want since they talk fancy/poetically. I've worked in Arch for 20 yrs and communication is clear. Both tutors contradict each other which is confusing, if I ask questions I get condescending answers. So overall it affects my productivity.
@@Sy2023hk ah yes the contradiction...I've experienced that a little too much during my time in uni as well. All I would say is end of the day, make stuff YOU are proud of- tutors are there to give an opinion, but you have the final say of the type of designer you want to be. Also grades really don't matter when you go out into the workforce, your portfolio is more important!
@@justjusjus its very relatable/common after speaking to so many ppl about this😂😂😂, thanks for the advice👍
HIIIIIIIIi FRIEND!!!!!!! FOUND YOU HERE!!!!!!! HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
HAHA HIII NO WAY YOU FOUND ME 😳hope you stay around to watch my content haha.
@@justjusjus of course! already a big fan!!!!!!
Saw the thumbnail and below was a DamiLee with her wearing all black outfit and all black profile picture 😂
Haha no way! I've been watching her videos ever since I was in university so she has been a huge inspiration for me for years! What an honour it is for UA-cam to put our videos together as a reccomendation 🤣
Could you make a video on what to expect from the first week of architecture school. Oh and I'm guessing you said architecture 12 times
Definitely something I can put on my list! Just as a quick overview - I would say that the first week of architecture school was definitely the HARDEST, only because it felt like the universities were trying to test the resilience of students by throwing alot of work to be completed in a very short amount of time. From my experience, my cohort dropped by 30% within the first few weeks as alot of people decided that they could not deal with the pressure. That being said, I am glad that I was able to push through it and be where I am today! ...also I said 'architecture' way more than that 🤭
@justjusjus thank youuu 🩷 😭😭
Wow, this is such a good video! I'm heavily considering architecture and this video really helped. Good quality video as well. +1 subscriber!
Ahhh thank you! Hopefully it didn't come off as too intimidating, I definitely do not regret studying it. All the best in everything that you do, and thank you for subscribing!
What insecurities are you battling within yourself at the moment? Would love to hear from you - cheering you on! 😊
Quick update: went to the dermatologist and they said it was mostly hormonal acne, nothing related to food and prescribed Isotretinoin for me to clear up my scars. They also mentioned that one of the reasons why I flared up was because I overdid my skincare, and recommended me to just use a light moisturiser and good sunscreen to neutralise my skin! It’s been a week since my consultation and honestly I am seeing a huge improvement already, so excited!
please pardon the messy hair, I thought it looked good at the time of recording 💀
I really want to become an Architect but I am also intrigued in Product design. This video is really good, I was expecting you to have thousands of subscribers from the quality of this video! Really informative, good job man :)
helloooo - if you're intrigued by both, just try and dabble in it a little to see if you would like to continue! Product design is definitely something that I've seen alot of architects venture into because of the skillset they have. thank you for the kind words - means the world!!!
i jusr discovered bro but you got a follow right away,u inspired me sm i hope u get the best in life
thank you so much for you comment bro, you made my start of the week amazing - wishing you all the best too!
As a software engineer, with no background nor desire to become an architect, I approve of this video 😂👌
Thank you for taking time to watch and approving of this video🫡 Also fully understand the non-desire to be an architect, I have my own doubts too 😂
@justjusjus Didn't say that brother. I wanted to be an industrial designer but chose the software life since it was closer to my heart. Being an architect must be so cool as well. Don't doubt yourself ❤️
@@Mkrabs Thanks brother! I guess I need to rewatch my own video on self-doubt to remind myself! Ddefinitely agree to do things that speak to you and you are motivated by, let's succeed together!
Burnout is not a badge of honor. 😢😢 some of us learned it the hard way
same here 😭 hope you’re doing well now!
@@justjusjus im chilling listening to harvest music and preparing for Friday day off hehe
This is amazing stuff thanks for the wonderful info! 😊
You're so welcome! Hope you create some great pieces too!
wow I said the word ‘architecture’ so many times in this video…
FLFC
THANK YOU ❤😂
Oh i know now
now you know!
Sometimes taking the first step is the hardest to take because of self doubts. I'm pessimistic in such things, thinking maybe I'd waste my time getting nothing back. Loved the video tho
Hey Krishna - just wanted to encourage you to JUST TRY, and expect to fail, but pick yourself back up and try again :) We are all our biggest critics, but I am cheering you on, you got this! Also thank you for taking time to comment and watch my video, appreciate you lots!
the way this vid both inspired and called me out at the same time 😭🤣 can't wait for next week's video !
HAHAHA - sometimes i feel like we are literally the same person.
truth!!!! I can relate to this so much!
we got this bro! together!
I'm based in Adelaide and have been following you on ig for a while now and I am fascinated with what you've done in turning your hobby to a ful blown side business. I've been doing machine embroidery on and off for 2 years now, and only now feel like I'm at the point where I am proficient enough in my digitising and machine embroidery skills, but I am dee dee mega doo doo at the whole marketing side of custom embroidery. I feel like I'm not utilising socials enough as I rarely post. Idk what to post and I find it borderline embarrassing since I feel like people aren't interested. I am also thinking about going to markets to market my services that way, but don't know what kind of designs to make for my stall. Also I face the same issue as posting on socials, I am scared no one will buy anything, and some of these markets have stall fees! 😭😭 Any tips for a homie starting on this journey, it would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!❤
What are your self-doubts and are you doing anything to navigate through it? Comment below and let’s talk about it together!

Anyone else on the same journey with me? 🙋♂ Let's connect in the comments!
Solid video! Looking forward to the next one! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much for taking time to watch! Next vid coming out SOON!
yo but what if I work in catering with 50hours a week, it kills my joints, but I like to be a full time Artist. Could I be do it as well?❤😅
Heyyy I feel you! Catering really is intensive work, I respect you so much for your capabilities of doing it. If you would like to be a full-time artist, I would reccomend starting by just dipping your toes into being a part-time artist first! Get enough artistic work that allows for you to shift away from your 50 hour work week and gradually move towards that goal. I am in the same boat, let's dream big together!
i guess this one's for me, the algorithm chose me. thought this was part of the niche videos i see in UA-cam, made me stalk your channel and want to know how you do your custom embroidery, it inspires me!
Hey Jules, thank you for choosing to click on my video! Not much to stalk at the moment, but would love for you to continue on this journey with me. Will definitely put out an embroidery video soon, thanks for watching!
I'm not gonna lie, I thought the airpods were part of the outfit, if you didn't mention it I wouldn't even notice them. Amazing video, love to see the quality on these first steps on UA-cam, keep it coming :)
Hey Diogo, I had friends who said the same thing but just thought I'd mention it incase people think I am a snob haha. Thank you so much for your support, it means the world!
W vid bro, the editing looks so professional. keep posting and your channel will get big real soon, 43 subs is diabolical...
You've made my day - thank you so much for the encouragement and taking time to comment! Well I've only been on here for two weeks so still fairly new to everything! Hopefully my content can reach more audiences and people will stick around.
ofc bro, keep it up and the audience will come fs
Do you have a passion project that you would like to start? I would love to hear about it in the comments, let’s DREAM together!
Finally, some exciting and original content on UA-cam!! Can’t wait to follow your journey, it’s going to be an amazing one! Your videos never fail to keep me on edging on my seat ❤
