It's so hard! I just love being around books, but taking a look at the book section never goes as expected. I wasn't big into buying books online before but when I started finding better deals, it made it my go to for getting books. Plus it just feels like a surprise whenever books arrive because sometimes I forget which ones are arriving in the mail! 🥰

@goodmornindreamer Omg please read Phantom. Idk anyone who has actually read it. It's so good. I love poetry so I enjoyed that it was in verse. There were soooo many good quotes in there that I probably tabbed every other page and I X'd out sections of people saying horrible things to her. I had a great time annotating it. I really enjoyed that the author went the direction of her becoming hyper sexual to deal with trauma instead of the other way around because I feel like that isn't a side that is explored a lot and was relatable to me. I gave it a 3.5 ⭐️ While I got the name of the book, it felt like it should've been something about wolves and rabbits since that was the constant metaphor. That was a complaint I had.

@@TAbs_00_ I definitely will! I'd like to get a physical copy of it, which may mean waiting until my book ban is over. I never was wild about poetry until my college roommate brought me to a poetry slam and after that I was hooked. I couldn't agree more, I feel like when it comes to sexual trauma some sides are more explored than others and I felt like the way the author wrote it portrayed it really well. I can definitely understand that. There were some mentions of Medusa and the "common" perception of her story but I feel like it should have been highlighted a bit more especially earlier on in the book when the wolf and rabbit metaphor was brought up. The book still resonated with me though and I couldn't get myself to rate it lower than a 5 ⭐

@goodmornindreamer Who are your favorite poets? Do you follow poetry button? That's where I used to watch them live stream slams. I wish i knew of somewhere nearby that did them. I found one but they only do it once a month and I haven't been yet.

@@TAbs_00_ I'm not quite sure if I have a favorite poet anymore. I have really enjoyed some pieces by Atticus ( I actually have a tattoo from one of their pieces that resonated with me back in college). I totally forgot about poetry button, I used to follow them on an older UA-cam account and never remembered to follow them on this one. When Love Arrives by Sarah Kay & Phil Kaye was one of my ALL time favorites along with Scars/To the New Boyfriend by Rudy Francisco. I had a location that I used to go to while in college, but since I've moved, I never got the chance to see if there were any locations near me to go to.

We're hoping to get back into this and also work more on the dungeon set ups. Oh no! Hopefully, they restock them soon! They had so much cute stuff and it was hard to stop from getting more. And I never thought about doing phone calls while walking on the treadmill, but I might have to do that. Since moving, I haven't been as good at calling my dad like I used to and this would be a great way to do it. 🥰😭And thank you! It's truly wild seeing how 400 people are interested in hanging out in this space and I never thought this channel would even get to this number!

@@adiiescapes Thank you for the clarification ☺ I just got back into reading this year, so my list of recommendations isn't as big. I'd definitely say the Black Winter Series by Darcy Coates would be good for a Thriller or maybe One by One by Freida McFadden. If you like fantasy Godkiller by Hannah Kaner is really good and has multiple POVs in it. For romance I highly recommend books written by Hannah Bonam-Young because of the representation, but they also do have spice in them. So for wholesome romance without spice, I'd suggest Maya's Laws of Love by Alina Khawaja. Hopefully that helps for a start! I am trying to read more and diversify the books I read. So hopefully I'll have more recommendations soon! ☺

It really does! My fiancé is so supportive and a huge advocate for the disabled community. So seeing him get emotional and adore this book as much as me, meant so so much 😭❤ haha I know you're right.
