@@MainEventMinute all good, I actually left out an important detail myself - I only played Raw 2. I remember my brother having both R2 and SD: HCTP at the same time, I mostly liked HCTP because my brother and neighbour both played that one, multiplayer was so much fun. I remember everything else about HCTP being better (the controls mainly) but R2 had more realistic pacing and tables, I'm STILL disappointed that normal grapple moves performed on/into a table didn't break them, Raw 2 had actual skill expression in Table matches it away in HCTP, you had a couple of preset moves, and when breaking the table via a move like a moonsault or frog splash, you'd just set off a preset break and you'd no longer be on top of the opponent... I'd play SvR 2007 but I play via emulator, my controllers aren't working with my laptop for some reason, you need analog sticks for the new grapple system....

@@davidmcnaboe I have to revisit those games, it’s been so long. From what I remember though, stories would happen that wouldn’t even have your character involved in them. Like Triple H and The Rock would have segments backstage, meanwhile you’re playing as Jeff Hardy in a random, non related fatal 4 way lol

@@MainEventMinute Custom music love to see it but the chances of that happening is absolutely 0% I mean 2K can work with UA-cam or Spotify and get a license deal. That would be amazing but people importing songs onto custom entrance and posting on UA-cam is a ground for lawsuit. To happen on 2K is the reason they're not gonna bring it back. Because players who will play WWE 2k25 will be careless. When it comes to create a finisher mode and create story mode I can see those modes are more likely to be brought back at some point. Maybe even in WWE 2k25. That would be so amazing and most likely new match types are definitely going to happen 100% such as multiman special guest referee is confirmed. And hopefully NXT Iron Survivor, Wargames with the options to turn off and remove cages and freely explore outside the ring in Wargames match. And I quit match will happen I think because there's microphone as dlc weapon in wwe 2k24.

@@twitch6000 yes! I remember getting two games with my ps2 as a kid and not being able to save both of them on whatever lowly memory card I had at the time because of Just Bring It lol

@@KinzaTracks oh man, I definitely felt some type of way about all of those matches too. To this day, I have never been so shocked as I was at WM 30 seeing Brock break the streak. Here’s to hoping Gunther can keep that title through Mania this time for you! And thanks so much for sharing, love hearing other people’s experiences with pro wrestling

@ the thing is though, i havent played 2k since the last game came out. ive been playing here comes the pain, wrestling empire, & other simple arcadey wrestling games, but this one just feels like it got it all wrong.

@@Billy2-pg3zj agree to disagree. The engine is the best thing about it to me. It’s all the other stuff that was underwhelming.

@MainEventMinute the reason I didn't get on with it is possibly because I only played against the cpu players. In one vs one the cpu player kept doing short range kicks and slaps and not much wrestling. It tag the second cpu tag partner would come in and stay in untagged. How did you over come this?

@ need road to wrestlemania back and the chaos back in universe mode. also revert gm mode back to SVR 06/07/08. idk why 2k didn’t just copy and paste it from those games. it’s so insane to me they can mess up the simplest things

@MainEventMinute thanks. If I'm correct I can't access all the 30 years of wrestlemania matches without the paid DLC content though ? Is there a way to unlock all the wrestlers by completing task in the game ?

@@KIrvin_The_Scholar just wrestlers and different moves are locked behind DLC. All the Showcase Mode matches are available in the base game so you can play that to your heart’s content!
