Were you just flying this last weekend down through needles. Was floating down river in my bahner and had one come right by. Was the coolest thing to see from 50 feet away. Seen a ton of military fly bys in the gorge but this might have bene one of the coolest.

Really cool to watch these two STV’s rip past Needles Marina , up and down the river and into the gorge. Appeared they saw and glad they didn’t hit the wooden pole. Showed the arm chair 100+ mph club how it’s done!
They didn't show the GPS results of the speeds. Uneducated people don't know why boats speedometers as so inaccurate. If you think this blue STV did over a 100mph with a fishing motor and prop, trimmed up with its nose in the air, then you have no idea what you are talking about. That boat is capable, if it was doing 100+ mph with its nose that high in the air it would have blown over about a mile ago....
No one uses pitot tube speedometers on fast boats. We use gps speedometers. The speedo on the dash is an Elite gps speedo and it is clearly labeled as such. They store the highest speed until reset. The yellow boat has the same speedometer plus a rectangular gps next to it. It shows 104 mph in the video. 300 hp with a speedmaster gearcase and a surface piercing prop will push a tunnel boat that fast. I've done it. That angle of attack is how they run.

5950-6050 RPM ....@ 100 ish ....wow what pitch are you spinning ? Must be like a 34 pitch. I do love that this will probably run safely and reliably for years to come ....turn key 100+ is awesome !

Granted,nothins guarentee'd in life...i can say 1st hand i came out of an Allison @ a lil over 80mph & im type'n this comment. Big diff in 80 & 130 no doubt. Hell,30mph will kill u. Helmets,jackets & kill switchs people!!!

Hi Scott. Yes that boat was running 34s. Sold it a while ago running 400 4 strokes now on a Nordic. That was a very fun boat too.
