I definitely feel you on the terrible lock on system. What helps me a lot is A. getting closer to the Drake and B. spamming Magick Bolt as SOON as I’ve launched the attack, and I mean the literal second that the game lets me mash it. I find that the quicker you spam Bolts after using the Flare, the more it tends to hit its target rather than some random body part. Of course, you’re still going to have many instances where the Bolts will lock elsewhere first. My biggest tip there would be to *genuinely* pay attention to where your first few bolts land, and then go from there. If you’re already on target, pausing for 1 split second isn’t going to reduce the damage in any way. Likewise, if you’re NOT on target, then that split second pause can be the difference between getting the Flare off or not. But to touch on that first point (and what I personally feel is the most helpful), honestly just getting closer to the enemy helps an insane amount. You’ll have to be careful and judge the distance of course as to not get hit, but distance will play a huge factor in the accuracy of your attacks. Sorry for the long reply, I just love talking about this vocation lmao. Hopes this helps some!

I’d have to disagree, but to each their own! I love MS just as much, and the diversity it comes with. I like to run Fighter as well but they really need to buff the vocation lol, same with Trickster. Has so much potential but the zero damage aspect is really unappealing.

They took out a lot of cool sorcerer spells from the first game. High Miasma, Exequy, necromancy etc

I got mine from the Bakbattahl armor shop! I think you can also find it in Vernworth if I’m not mistaken. It’s called the Orphic Robe!
