Nice Video. This is the first one I have seen for the 2014. Extremely helpful!
Great video sir, this is exactly what I was looking for.
Maybe different on a 500 h.o. sportsman,, thanks great job.
Great video, currently working on a 1999 and a 2004 h.o. did carbs on both, The h.o. carb has a fuel inlet on the opposite side or the right side when sitting. Are you sure you replaced it with a h.o.?
@@richardsoule278 shouldn’t matter how fuel is getting into the carb just as long as it is getting there.
The fuel inlet will be the one closest to the bottom.
Great video. Thanks a million. Great help. Just one question the small pipe that is connected to very bottom of the carabator , does that pipe connect to somewhere else on the quad?
I believe it is just a vent, not critical to have the carb work properly
Great video. Although You may have modified that socket fer nothing. The open end of a 12 mm gear wrench did the trick. It was just thinner than the other wrenches in my collections and worked when the Stanley’s and craftsmen’s couldn’t fit in that tight spot
I agree and disagree. A skinny wrench absolutely works! However, the socket saved me a trip to the store. So it was not for nothing. It got the job done. Way I run my shop, I don’t care how it gets done as long as it get done, done right, and done efficiently.
Those Chinese carburetor don't work is money on garbage no good
Great video! So hard to find on this model! I have a 2012 400ho. Im having trouble with bogging out at different throttle levels. Fine in park or neutral but not happy when i ride it. I also just bought a Chinese carb. (just waiting on Amazon)... -Have you had good luck with it since you installed it? I've seen everything from its great to its garbage! But for the price I have to try it! Thanks again for your video very helpful & appreciated! -JAMES
With the cheap Chinese carbs. It’s worth a shot for the price! Its always a gamble. It’s Been awhile and I haven’t heard from the customer so I assume it’s going well. No news is good news. Since learning and evolving I have learned it’s best to use the origional carb. If the origional carb is too bad to be used, find another OEM mikuni carb and rebuild that. I have picked up a ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight for cheap and it’s been the best thing for cleaning carbs
Believe I would had pressured washed it before the video but good video
That cable part @ 17 min in was helpful. Thank you!
Glad it helped!
THANK YOU
Nice job of teaching how to remove and install new carb. Looking forward to your rebuild video.
