Frumoasa aterizare 👍
nice with telemetry! I wanted to do that on the PC, not in the app, still investigating....
There is no more Gopro app for PC... it was discontinued
Ce video profi. Cum ai pus busola cu viteza in colt?
@@CristiUrsu arata super bine.
You landed a down-plane with the round and canopy fighting each other. try pulling B or C lines to stall the canopy so you land softer with two canopies. You can also use brakes if you can not pull the B or C but just pull enough to stop the canopy from opposing the round. It takes a lot of strength to pull the B or C lines.
Yep, I've learned the lesson of pain
Frumos tare! Bravo!
E prea miso... mai mergem 😂
Fain loc.
Please don’t forget to disable your wings you downplaned and that increased your descent rate so much.
Yep, thet was the lesson I've learned
No left break at all...
Yes... I'm sorry
superb zbor

Nice flight. Not sure you turn the lifts the most optimal way, but I am a rookie...
When you are at the inversion it becomes rather turbulent, there is no lift or sink it's just a mix of both... very difficult to mantain
Honestly speaking I wouldn't expect something like this in flatlands either. SIV might surely help, but I would say its more about the reflex reactions in this kind of situations(some people have it, some people do not have it, some people develop bad refelxes anyway). Trying to get out of the autorotation with already cravated wing ( partially both sides) at this low altitude wouldn't be according my oppinion a good decision anyway. Probably the initial deep braking (both sides) sent it immediately to deep spiral....in this moment (nose down) with cravated wing at this altitude you made the very best decision. Good job man.
Thank you, I think the same.

what i don't see: weight shift/brake to the open side and you didn't kill the wing once the reserve was open. i know that people don't wanna read that but: SIV would help here i guess. ;)
Ce frumos, fix la apus. Ce vant ati avut la decolare?
Usor de spate...

Cand ai zis "Sink..." m-am gandit fix la asta: ua-cam.com/video/xacdDrylrek/v-deo.html 🤣

Once the cravat occurred you braked heavily on the inner side. You accelerated _hard_ into an already bad autorotation! If you had leaned left and braked the left side instead, you could have stopped the rotation before the forces got too bad. Otherwise the G forces can knock you unconscious or prevent you from throwing your reserve. You lucked out that you braked so hard on the right side that your wing entered into a SAT (yes, the acro trick) right away. The G-forces are lower in a SAT than in a nose-down spiral even though the wing rotates very fast because the center of rotation is between you and your wing. I don't say this to put you down or diss you, but the way you are holding your brakes and reacting to the collapses suggests you are a relative beginner with little experience with active flying. Please be careful out there. A high B wing should not be underestimated and you should not fly a high B wing without experience with active flying and having done a SIV on it.
Thank you, I appreciate your advice 🙏
Good think, when he wasn't sure what to do, he didn't hesitate to pull out reserve. Thats very posetive point in this case I would say.
And please pull your C’s or B’s. You down planed and it made your decent rate sky rocket
Another thing worth mentioning - in a SAT-like rotation, there's a huge chance that the thrown reserve will get entangled with the wing (due to this shifted center of rotation). This pilot was really lucky that the reserve didn't get into the canopy.

In drum spre Clopotiva?
Ooff. Sketchy situation. Glad you landed safe and thanks for sharing. Most comments on here nail the “ideal” reaction needed to address the situation even though, in the heat of the moment, it’s easier said than done. That’s where SIV comes in to build that muscle memory. One question though, and since the video doesn’t show it clearly, what happened exactly? Asymmetric collapse? And do you know why? Thanks
Hi and thanks! I concluded I entered in a strong sheer winds which collapsed the whole wing starting from the left side to the right which wnded with a nasty cravat. Indeed, it's easier to say than act... I was caught by total surprise and it's hard to believe I actually knew how to lean on the open side and compensate, I have practised that in school, but the surprise really blocked me. The only thing I didn't practise before was the autorotation and it was safer for me to throw the rescue. An SIV is now top priority.
Which site is that? Nice 👍
Thanks! It's a nice rocky hill good for soaring close to Deva maps.app.goo.gl/8Ghv4JstAY4kMhmK8
Please tuck your legs!
Pourquoi tu ne pilotes pas aux C ?
But I usually do when I'm on transitions At that time I was preparing to turn for landing
10 Times slower is too much
Porca la miseria,,,
Hell, baboons should not fly,, Yo did you crack any ribs ??????
you could cancel the wing by pulling only one C string or brake not all of them. its mission impossible
Great video! Thanks! So many people talk about taking a SIV class… yeah thats all good and all BUT, doing a SIV dont really make you a better pilot, many people take a SIV but still dont have a clue… I say taka a good SIV course once a year for atleast 3 or 4 years in a row, that will make anyone a better pilot…
Thanks! What you say is true but anyways it's better to have SIV It's the same with money that don't bring happiness but they help on the pursuit 😀
@@CristiUrsu 😅
Great toss. Not much to think of at relativly low altitude.
Yeah, proud of it 👍
Lean left, break left!
Sure I knew that... but at the time I didn't even know what happened to me
@@CristiUrsuIf not done yet, do a SIV. I think this would have been easy to handle without the need of using the reserve. Glad at least, that you found your reserve
With that kind of (non)reaction it is to consider to step down on the glider and definitely do an SIV. After the collapse there was plenty of time to stop the rotation, even in the rotation, pulling left brake would have stopped it. anyway, you really nailed throwing the reserve.
Yep... now I know...
Cat zicea vario-ul, cu cat ai urcat maxim? Nu ma refer la urcatul "integrat".
Dacă te referi in termica de la Postavaru am avut 4,5 m/s
Mersi ca ai postat accidentul Cristian! Egal ce comenteaza oamenii de pe canapele... S-ar fi putut opri autorotatia? Probabil. Cum era termica in ziu aia?
1. asymetric plus cravate = it can happen, you can react better, but it can happen anyway 2. when autorotation begin to develop, there is a lot of time to react = weightshifting on good side, braking good side. Your first thing to do is to stop the rotation!!! Even stall whole wing with too much breaking on your left is better then rotation 3. when you don't know how to solve the situaton throw the reserve = it was very good with good energy, although throwing in rotation is dangerous it can go through your line, so it is always better first stop the rotation 4.under reserve you have to disable main wing, never try to take in on main line, always do multiple wraps on breaks until main wing is just piece of fabrique (it does not fly in any direction) 5. SIV, SIV, SIV
Thank you... I would normally react but it was all too suddenly and I was too relaxed, that's why no reaction... It was an asymmetric in wave, from left to right plus cravate plus start of a twist... I didn't see the autorotation coming, I had a second to think "don't twist" and lean a bit on the right as there I felt the tendency to untwist... but this move put me straight into autorotation. I had no experience with autorotation and I felt the safest decision is to throw before accelerate too much... Stupid me, I gave up trying to kill the wing... Yes, SIV SIV SIV!
@@CristiUrsu everybody makes errors, it Is good you try to learn from them, next time you will not have So much time to solve it as this time (lots of hight) 👍
When I saw how you hold your brakes, I immediately knew something is going to happen... Don't hold your brakes like that, you just feel nothing of the wing and additionally you have 20 cm less of brake authority.
Well I don't necessarily agree... I got used this way and I have good control and feedback with my hands lower than the other holds. Otherwise there it is no risk than the hand through the loop when you need to release rhe brake and quickly grab for the rescue... Sometimes I use half wrap in some situations but this way I don't get a good glide so I'm not using it in transitions. There are 3 types of holds and all are accepted, all with advantages and disadvantages and this I use is not the reason I got into trouble.
@@CristiUrsu Thousands of pilots and hundreds of SIV instructors can prove you wrong. This is just pure physics and physiology - you have 20 cm less brake authority and you feel a lot less with such a hands position. If you don't believe me, a random guy from UA-cam, ask the experienced people you trust.
@@dymanoid you're not quite a random guy... I'm watching you for quite some time 😉 You're right about the authority and the 20cm... what I say is not the reason of the incident... of course holding it differently may have helped a lot, considering I have reacted properly and not freezing...
@@CristiUrsu Hello. I also completely agree with Mr. dymanoid's opinion. If you were close to landing and weren't controlling on the rear riser, why weren't you flying a half lap? If you had pulled the break properly, you wouldn't have had such a big collapse and cravat. In the first place, you probably don't understand that you need to keep tension on the brakes to prevent the glider from collapsing.
@nao4407 well usually you adapt the piloting to the condition and it was a smooth condition with no sign of what was about to happen. It was so sudden that I had no time to react and was completely taken by surprise, that's why no reaction
