Beautiful stone! How do these stones compare with translucent Arks?

I just bought a 1956 (B1) red tip at an antique store today for $20. I also bought a 1958 Super Speed (D3) for $10 and it came with the original case and blade holder.

I was curious so I checked what you bought!. No offense! Emulsion or pastes you bought are very cheap and low quality! You did a finalitation! Not a full progression! Sorry to tell you! No offense but you are a begginer far what a high quality paste can give you! Teach diamond is the not bad but not top notch! A full progression start at 15 micron and cost more than 1000,00€ only in pastes!! if done with diamond high pastes! No need for stones! I did it!🤭 I don't suggest if you like cheap stuff😢😊

I have a La Dressante too and it too is a fast stone. Something about that vein. Also, despite it being fast, it is a fine finisher as well. I was advised by Maurice at AC to not use slurry on it.

I'm late to this video but agree with you about the DX Kamisori. I have been shaving with one for a little over two years but I am using the Feather Pro Blades. I did not know Schick made a blade that would work in the Feather razors. I would like to find out more about it and who sells it.

Doing the same thing over here with my razors. Dont have the .01 paste yet. Shaves have improved but im chasing sharper. Slash McCoy on B& B strongly suggests doing 60 to a 100 laps vertically with the weight or less than the weight of the razor on blasa. No pressure on apex and edge.

Hi Kirk, Ben wanting to get into straight razor shaving but on the fence about what razor would be good for a beginner. Been looking at the IBC or the Feather SS folding razor. Do you feel one would work better for a beginner?
