Still some of the most snappy, punchy, visually satisfying VFX in the entire NIS catalog. There's definitely some stinkers but after this game and Disgaea 2 every attack had to be some silly cutscene of a celestial body being destroyed and solid VFX fundamentals of motion, timing, and color started dropping off. It's too bad the remake glitched out some of the smoke/dust/fire particles and made them start flipping around rather than facing the camera.
