That director's branch, which is filled with international filmmakers, HATE populist films & even though Denis had such a distinct vision while also having a hand in writing it, they will never recognize him for a Director nod. Look how long it took Nolan to finally get in the field & then again to win for Oppenheimer?! And it's not like Denis hasn't been nominated before as Director; he got in for Arrival, which was a film that was respected by the branch for his distinct voice on an adaptation that was somewhat risky to accomplish. Something tells me he'll come back into the field with something else that's more Academy-friendly & less genre-bias, but I always knew they would ignore him on these films despite how much effort is put into them.

Agreed! Denis Villeneuve and RaMell Ross (Nickel Boys) are the two biggest directing snubs this year.

Feels like something that was made for school. Interesting pick for the aspect rario. The ticking clock passing the time as we wait to see if its positive or not. You can tell how both characters are feeling without saying anything. But it still felt alittle bland. Like I get the story but maybe some added angles and cuts would have made it click more.

Well holy macaroni, this was surprisingly pretty great despite the short being only 4 mins! Without even uttering a word, this short was able to tell a lot to the viewer. It has some great acting, editing, cinematography, etc. And again, this was just in 4 mins! Great work man!

There´s a lot of positives in the cinematography, locations, the whole idea I think it´s great. My interpretation is that the lack of love and mutual understanding ended up killing them, which has a powerful meaning to it. As a suggestion, the change in score seemed unnecessary, the subtle piano (maybe accelarated for tension) would have worked much better than the generic horror sound. Keep up the good work!

Okay so English isn't my first language, mostly I don't have a problem with watching something in english, but I just cannot make out what the intruder is saying other than the "do not be ashamed" and the final line, everything else is just unintelligible to me. I've watched the scene over five times now, but I just can't make it out, I wish there were subtitles. Can someone please tell me what he's saying
