Welcome to a Marvellous world of Microbes! Thank you for looking.
This is my repository of observations from a hidden world which is all around us. Observing these tiny creatures is something I regard as a privilege, & I hope to share the beauty & complexity of this world with you.
I gather samples from local rivers, ponds, puddles, fountains, bird baths, and several large jars which have lived in my back garden for a couple of years. They are open to the rain and elements and it's fascinating to watch different populations come and go with the seasons.
I try to research and learn about the creatures I see, but my attempts at identification are little more than best guesses.
I therefor welcome any suggestions and/or corrections.
I use a Motic BA210, Ceti Topic, & Swift S7. The camera is a Bresser MikrOcular. Links to all are given below.

Neat! I also like to go see who is stuck around the cover slides….
Hey, that's my sister having a bath!!
Was in my recommended. Looks pretty cool. What is it?
I collect samples from rivers, ponds, bird baths, fountains, etc. & they are always FULL of life. Check out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotifer for more info on rotifers. 😃

I discovered few days ago a bunch of those pretty orange rotifers for the first time and was asking myself about what they ingested to make their stomachs look so orange! Your guess seems to be the answer and I'll do some more readings about those Haematococcus algae! I will soon publish a video of those colourful rotifers on my channel...
I didn't know such Tardigrades existed!!! wow
That one cell:
Just as I thought.
You can see the valve opening and closing. very cool.
what scope and camera?
Motic BA210, Bresser MikrOkular eyepiece camera. Links in bio. 🙂
Nice video!! //KD
Very cool that microorganism I have not yet been able to see in the microscope. Thanks for sharing!! //KD
Tht little thing looks so cringe
fish?
No, rotifer. From a river sample. :)
Did anyone see what happened to the one on top
😂😂 your life is very boring
May i know what is this video about? I am not into it so i dont know the context of what is happening
It's just a tiny ciliate which I haven't identified yet, feeding; mostly likely on bacteria.
This is so cool I wonder why ppl don't know about this channel 😊
Thank you. Feel free to share!
These are the "wheel animals" can anyone guess why they are commonly called this?
Its actually leaving little remnants of something out of its back or whatever you call its end
The dark lumps in the intestinal tract are everything it's eaten. The remnants it's leaving behind are literally poop!
Wow
Prank him john
I wonder if they make sounds? Could a microphone be attached to one?
They're typically around 500microns long, so it would have to be an awfully small microphone!
@@microbi-AL may haps a micro, microphone ?
what is this?
Dorsal view of Monodinium. www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=any&taxon_name=monodinium
Love this
These samples are collected from... Method used to collect
As per my bio, a local river, pond, a couple of fountains, a bird bath and various other containers which live in my back yard all year round. Collections involves little more than a selection of S/M/L droppers and clean sample pots.

and Scenedesmus
Wow! That's awsome!
Thank you!
On this day, Wormy has offended the snake clan. Smh 😤
😂
That is just beyond amazing
Thank you! :)
I mean its got 6 legs!
That thing isnt considered an insect? It looks like one....
These small creatures have intelligence. So amazing
Like what job do these things have in our universe? Lol
Life is everywhere, we just can't see 90% of it.
If people only actually knew how amazing these microscopic creatures are. Now u got me watching all your videos. I wished you would explain them though that would have been superb
Thank you! I have recently joined uk.iNaturalist.org same username & there's images/frame grabs and more info there.
Incredible
Thank you!
Love it. It's like Battlebots, but under a microscope.
Amazing... going about their little life without any concept of things outside of the slide
Thank you!
Se comporta como Volvox sp. Mas estranho não apresentar o verde característico da clorofila.
Thank you! I will now research Volvox to look for similar behaviour.
So cute 🥰
Еммм..... фууу!
Aw cute, it looks positively mammalian! Where do I find these?
I find them in fresh calm water with plenty of algae and moss.
