One way I assist horse rescues is.....
Watch these horses go from having terrible skin to a beautiful coat of fur.
One of the things I am able to do at horse rescues is spend time out in the pastures, spot horses that need minor medical care, and give treatment. This frees staff to conduct their essential daily tasks with minimal interruptions.
I travel to rescues free of charge to help them with horses that are hard to handle but still need care. In the process making the horse much safer for everyone involved. from staff, to veterinarians, volunteers, and technicians.
Check out some of my other videos to see how I've helped various horse rescues.

Teach your horse to stop quickly and smoothly
Переглядів 3224 місяці тому
Many horses don't stop as crisply as we'ed like. They end up bouncing forward, turning to the side, running into branches, even into other horses. Teaching them to stop quickly and smoothly is all about teaching them to shift the weight correctly. These three steps will teach them so it becomes second nature to stop much better and with perfect balance. #horse #horselover #horsemanship #horsetr...

But, I must always keep my guard up because she is 100% wild and can be very dangerous. This animal was captured in the wild by the Bureau of Land Management as part of their round-up program. She (along with many others) was auctioned off and went straight to a kill pen. Now at a ...

I’m very impressed with your patience and gentle Cowboy training. I’m a 70 yr old Cowgirl who rescued equines 40 yrs ago. Most Trainers back in the day had the idea of ‘working’ the horse until they were tired and wanted to stand still before training. Your patience with a feral 7 yr old horse was amazing. I couldn’t believe she loaded so easily. ❤May she find a forever home❤ 😊Very enjoyable😊

You have such a calm manner around her that has built such a genuine bond, it’s lovely to see the connection between you. I love that letting her make mistakes and find her own answer has developed her confidence so she wants to work with you and it seems such a gentle process to bring her along. It’s great having a good explanation of what you are doing, and showing it speeded up makes it easy to see the progress. Love the music too! I’m surprised you have not got more subscribers, maybe you need to give a gentle reminder to viewers at the end asking them to help grow your channel so you can reach more people, I look forwards to more videos!

I love the kind gentle patient approach- I especially love when she gets the right answer - your done with the lesson - it is really frustrating to watch “trainers” have the horse learn a particular thing and then go over it to a point of frustration to the horse - that teaches me that person is not a trainer. A horse learns a thing the first time - they don’t need to go over it - why? Nature is a cruel teacher - in the wild there is no room for mistakes

You have to put her in a big pen room to walk around and take a chair and sit quietly calm, take some treats, carrots, apples, hay and if she wants it she has to come to you sometimes horses have to make the first move epically if they are wild or abused and been treated badly she doesn't trust anybody, so if you want her to trust she has to make the first move and you just let her keep getting use to you everyday this is a good method you may have to repeat the process different times a day maybe twice however long it takes for the horse to fully trust you and gradually as she trusts you more and you get to pet her that's a start, after awhile she may let you put a halter on her repeat the process so she is fully use to it then move on to the next thing but don't do it fast let the horse take charge you must be calm, patience, no abuse what so ever and never the horse wants to trust somebody that will take care of her and love her if she trusts you more and more each day watch a strong bond will take place but you must go very slow and be calm and don't try to do everything in a couple of days it will take time so don't rush it. You train her slow and first let her get use to you not visa versa you will be working on her terms not your terms. Good luck she is a beautiful horse take care of her and she will take care if you. Don't you want to have a strong bond then let the horse take charge and get to know you better. Good luck training her I want to see more videos of her improvement. susanb6301@gmail.com

My friends mother used to make these oat and molasses cookies and I had apple trees at home. I never showed up at the barn without treats. My horse got used to that and I also used to cup my hands together and whistle through my thumbs to let her know I was coming. After a couple months of this she would meet me halfway and I'd get on bareback no halter and off we went. RIP Cleo ❤️
