@@andrewSUN17 it’s handled the snow pretty good with the new tires I put on! If the roads have been cleared I have no worries taking it out (except for when I have to go into parking lots).

@@nighthawk2174 yeah you don’t want to cheap out on insurance incase something happens. The GR86 is an awesome car too though. If the insurance is crazy for you right now I’d just hold off honestly until you’re in a position that its comfortable

@@RonaldJones-zm7te AWD is definitely nicer to have during winter but FWD/RWD cars are just fine with proper tires and common sense. I swapped the Z’s tires asap and it’s just fine in light snow/slush. Heavy snow I’ll take my truck just to be safe but I see plenty of people of cars still out just fine

AWD is just peace of mind I would say they are better in the particularly bad stuff and especially in hilly areas. I'm from CO up in the foothills and yes AWD in the winter is a big deal here. Driving my subaru is no big deal, my dad's 2wd 2000 chevy well.... But in NY if your a half way decent driver with good tires and you're not being stupid their more than adequate.

Nissan won't go away outright especially with Honda expressing interest in buying at least part of the company. Their still popular enough that with some reshuffling and cutbacks they'll survive.

@@M67v for almost 60k the car should be a little better than a parts bin car from Nissan. I appreciate them making a car in the first place, but the high price tag is wild for other cars you can get for similar cars. A used older M car is significantly better in every category.

@@Mr_Kristofer You know what else doesn’t have memory seats, lane keeping assist, or remote start? A Porsche 718 Spyder RS. In fact, it doesn’t even have proximity entry with push button start. And the convertible top is manually actuated and extremely complicated to use. Not to mention, that car is as parts bin special as it gets. A lot of its interior features date back to the 991 Porsche 911, it uses the drivetrain out of the 991.2 GT3, its keyfob is no different than a second gen Cayenne, and its infotainment system is two generations behind the latest from Porsche. By the way, it costs at least three times what the Z costs, and Porsche can’t build them fast enough. And I bet there’s more examples of expensive sports cars that are like this. My point is, your priorities may not align with the manufacturer’s when they build sports cars like these. In the case of cars like the Z, the GR Supra, or the Mustang GT, they’re more concerned about the driving experience and offering as much bang for buck as they can. While you may feel like these cars are too expensive for what they are, making bespoke parts and adding more creature comforts-especially ones that aren’t pertinent to most sports car buyers-will only drive the prices up more. Reusing many 370Z and Q60 parts is the trade off for the Nissan Z being the least expensive way you can buy a 2-door sports car with 400 horsepower. Ford reusing many S550 generation parts and cheap interior materials is the only way they can continue to make a V8 sports car under $50k and still turn a profit. BMW deriving its powertrain, software, and chassis to Toyota is the only way Toyota can justify building such a low volume sports car and at a reasonable price at that. You can have a used BMW as long as you’re okay with sacrificing the benefits of a new car. You also have to factor in maintenance costs. Yes, the price for entry of an older BMW model can potentially be lower. However, even if you don’t experience any component failures, the price of consumables-gasoline, brake pads, brake discs, spark plugs, ignition coils, tires, and potentially more-will surely be higher than that of the Z’s. Just because a car is cheaper to purchase, that doesn’t necessarily make it a better value.

​@@Mr_Kristofer Again, it's not a luxury car. You're treating a track vehicle as a daily driver. You're paying for the trust that the vehicle is good to rip on roads and take to the track. Most serious racers would have none of those features for weight reduction. Get a Lexus and call it a day. You'll legitimately be happy with the features and performance of a Lexus since you're focused on the "features" of the car.

Yeah any convertible car is prone to having issues down the line. 110k miles problem free cruising is pretty good though!

@ My mother who was in her late 80’s looked good-very contented in the passenger seat/ always up for a ride in the Z.. If it had more leg room/would consider a Miata but picking up a Subaru Forester for the upcoming x country Canadian road trip.Starting at BC and ending up at one of the many Atlantic provinces .
