She came to NZ Sky City Auckland - I thought right to the second she walked out onto the stage and sang for us that night - that this was some lookalike tribute show, it was a night out for me something I haven’t done for years I was grateful & looking forward to having a nice time little did I know just how much! Everyone in that space, looked so glam It was nice to not feel overdressed. I thought sky city tribute? Odd this is a bit lavish for a tribute whoever it is must be super amazing?!!….the auditorium lights blacked out the show begins in the darkness from far back stage came an aluminous white glow delicate sparkles radiating an unassuming figure hovered toward front stage slowly lighting up the rows of musicians behind her I didn’t see any leg or foot movement magically silently hovering towards her audience what an amazing sci-fi feature how’d they do that what a stunning entrance she’s incredibly tall wow 6-7ft at least so so elegant no lies such an awe enspiring womanly shape a body that defined all beauty a model that had some ability to sing?? but hadn’t yet.,,,then the lights focused into her face not a flinch so surreal she smiled lovingly, she even looked exactly like Natalie Cole? No!…twinkling eyes like sparkles from her - figure hugging illuminated shoe string gown the classiest strapped bling shoe so delicate no high heels necessary? u are that height incredible is this real? the audience all of us smitten in her presence - undeniably the most powerful optical illusion, like in the holographic video with a her dad..?? I suddenly noticed the pianist & conductor live & fully real how are they doing this? The strings, flute, harp the sound of heaven stop it! where am I? And she started to sing, I can’t remember what for the life of me the song was I was a complete sponge lah lah land fool but my breath was taken by it all - a happening in my city? she raised the mic to her perfectly glossed lips it matched her ethereal chocolate coloured flawless skin…no way? Then…those first 4bars of vocal of angelic exquisiteness obviously superimposedI had to wipe away my emotions rolling down my face a truly subliminal experience from a 5-6 minute scene - it was what can I say… a spiritual evening remembering it enlightens my musical life tags up and has left an outstanding cosmic imprint never to be forgotten - like nature could only do what a joy she must have been as a child how proud her dad must’ve been, her entire family - rest in peace in the highest high I love your music if u have human flaws you did your best to never expose them you have always been one of my favourite focus in the world in this time of my life. Thank you so much for your music I hope it’s just a special in heaven as it was here on earth.
