The library makes the world of the game feel much bigger than it is. As a kid I loved checking out random books.

Wow I never thought about using the grog on the safe, I do a yearly playthrough of Monkey Island and I am still discovering new dialogues. The last one I discovered was trying to handle the stolen credit to the shopkeeper, Guybrush commented something like "I am not that dumb" but in spanish. What an amazing game.

Caribbean Nights is a funny one. It starts off as the Cemetery theme, but then becomes similar to part of the ‘dive to the bottom of the ocean’ theme at about 2:00? Maybe an early scratch before they figured out what track was used for what.

Ah, my very first point-and-click adventure game. Specifically, this version. Still remember renting the cartridge as a kid (without the instruction manual) and not knowing the first thing about how to play it. Only a few years later (playing it on PC with an actual mouse) did I ever finally beat it. Anyway, the Maniac and Edison themes still rock.

Love the soundtrack of this game.

That CD is one of my most prized possessions! Seriously, did any other game company have soundtracks that came even close to the musical marvels that Lucasfilm Games/Arts produced on a reliable basis? Anything that could at least hold a candle to the first couple of seconds of the Monkey Island theme? Anything that makes you instantly happy, similar to that? I don't think there is.

If you listen really carefully, you might hear the Amiga owners laughing in the background.

Criminally underrated, legendary game. Thank you for the amazing soundtrack.

This is a weird prequel to Star Wars Outlaws...

In pre-vm or -dosboxtimes this was sometimes the result of starting the game in win95 as on my computer midi was somehow unstable. This was basically the way I heard SoMI most of the time.

Well, ot looks more funny and comically when you see the eyes pop out of a blown fish. But still blowing its arse is not the right way to portray this 🤯tbh I played the game when it was released and never realised this, until recently when someone told me about it🤷‍♂️

I'm definitely due for a replay of this game. One of those titles I wish had a modern remaster to iron out some of the issues.
