Unstick a Stuck Truck (or car) from the Muck
I used this trick to get my truck unstuck from the mud. It was fairly simple and required only two 2x4s and two ratchet straps or ropes. These items can easily be stowed in a vehicle and would prove very handy in a situation where you are stuck and there is no immediate help nearby.

Move heavy objects without breaking your back using only PVC

This works well if there isn't extra help around and you need to move a heavy object over flat ground.
Build a Water Bar For Your Chickens to Drink At!
Переглядів 2782 роки тому
This watering system uses a 55 gallon drum or barrel to supply bulk water to your chicken house. Watering nipples are threaded to the PVC and provide a leak-free and clean way to provide water to your flock. This is a great alternative to traditional waterers and also ensures that your chickens always have a clean and fresh supply of H2O.
250 ft. Direct Burial Ethernet from House to Barn
Переглядів 7742 роки тому
We decided to run ethernet from the house to the barn rather than use wireless transmitters and receivers. Close to 300 feet of ethernet still achieves nearly 500 Mbps download speed at the destination. Fiber coming into the house, then 30'-50' of ethernet inside house plus 250' partially buried.
Thank you for sharing this. I just used this very technique to get my bogged Mitsubishi Fuso (about 6tons weight at the time!!!) out of a bog in my paddock here in Tasmania! I was working on it for three days, before the dim 4watt nightlight bulk went off in the back of my sconce, and I said “what would the ‘Tube show me!” A very quick search revealed your video, and in about half an hour I had made up two bits of wood, but I used a couple of short lengths of fence wire to tie them on to the front wheels, and I was straight out!
Easiest way is to just let the tyres down. Not fully flat but enough that you get grip. Would easy work on tyres like that. Might not work on very low profile. Of course you need to be able to inflate afterwards.
It's obvious you have no clue what you are talking about. Deflating will not work - zero chance.

Video is about 4 minutes too long.
Thanks for sharing this. Well done!
My husband and I did something very similar to get us out of 50 metres of serious bog. We had used maxtrax but the tyres just slipped on them. The wood tied on to our wheels with straps worked perfectly.
Crazy, right? I was surprised how well it worked. Wondering if it would work as well in the snow. Now way to test that here in FL.
Funciona bien eso, yo lo hice hace unos cinco años y todo ok
Awesome!
i wonder if this would work in sand ?
Not sure. We're in FL, so mayby I can test it someday. Wondering also about the snow. Can't test that here!
Is there any special setup for the second (remote) router or does it just plug into the first router and second ready to go as is?
Apologies for the late reply. There was no special setup. It was a router that I had sitting around and reused it for this application. I just plugged ethernet into it and it was ready to go.
Cool
You could always just air down to 12-15 psi
Yes, but not nearly as fun!
