Mine has no problem in heat even though I used in tropical countries. Probably is has different or latest versions? The power supply is not optimal. It is hard to find and more expansive than unit for displacing the fosi power adaptor than buying 1 unit of linear power supply 36v 20A.

Wonderful video! Please help me understand something. I have owned a simple Sony receiver a dozen years. All I do is stream music from my phone via a Bluetooth receiver into the receiver. Can I get rid of my large Sony receiver and replace it with this Fosi Audio BT30D and do the same thing? I have 3 speakers, which includes a powered sub. I take the speaker leads currently to my sub and then to the 2 additional Left/Right speakers. Thank you!

Tpa 3255 allows 20-25 watts (clean) with a distortion of less than 0.1% even at 20 kHz at 4 Hom and 8 Hom. The power is bigger but if you want a good hi-fi it is about 25 watts because beyond it gets dirty like all class D.

I hooked up my fosi to my active sub over pre out to LFE mode on my sub but it just control total volume not freq sub or vol sub...is that normal?

Which is best sound quality. Tpa3116 or this? Sound quality i mean how accurately it's output mimics the input. Can you check it with Oscilloscope .

This one seems to have the biggest electrolyte capacitor of all tpa3255 kits in the market. with 2x4700uF

This amplifier is useless. what are you going to do with so many watts when ic. boils long before max watts. Too small heatsink

What do you mean the heatsink isn't big enough? I have a 3500w power acoustik razor3500d and beating down the block for almost an hour, it barely get warmer than my hand.

So what you are saying is these amps are very problematic

I noticed that the coils moved easily when you poked them. They should all be glued to the board to reduce vibration. Overall, it's a good board for the price. But class D can be done so much better. The world is already awash in cheap mediocre amps like this one. Especially with Korean engineering and Chinese production. There are some great class D amps with just a few extra components - but they're ridiculously priced for no reason other than pure greed.

Nice job, looks good. Thank you! But what i see when I tested small amplifiers, is that the heat is normal. You send 1Khz to the amplifier without pauses (music is not continues) and that will heat up the radiator. Normally this will not happen when you playing music so it wil stay cooler. But i like the way you test, nice! 💯

Sound like fun, I'm gonna Try out some of these class D baby power amps, they seem to have a small nice protection system in them to encourage us 💙

2 things, change the small heat radiator, add some fast capacitors for eliminate 400Khz carrier.. should be useful for the workshop !

Hello ,whats minimum voltage required for this amp

300 watts of class D noise packed with distortion. PurePath, not sinusoidal. Some kind of Chinese PWM trickery.

I use large Heco Aurora 1000 speakers and after burning my Yamaha V6A due to the high volume I bought two class D amplifiers; Fosi audio V3 and Fosi audio ZA3 with the TPA 3255 chip. Fosi audio V3 can give a higher volume compared to the ZA3 but the sound of both is better than my Yamaha V6A and they both manage to satisfy my Haco aurora 1000 speakers without problems and do not heat up too much by using a power suplay of 48V 5A.

Seems unclear here though what the max SPL is at say 1 meter from source being a phone or laptop.. it’s to relative to say ‘it’s not that loud’ type a thing !
